This is probably my favorite of the 3 stories in the Soldati Hearts series. I absolutely loved both of these MCs and their chemistry and romance together was so sweet.

I loved Ezra. I almost want to say he might fall into the demi spectrum? He'd never really felt attraction towards anyone else, never saw the need or want to have a mate, until he starts spending time with Segreti. But I loved his early confusion over his feelings towards Segreti and Segreti's reactions to him, and all the emotion

Ezra & Segreti were so cute together. Ezra was so sweet, he never stopped telling/showing Segreti that he was worthy of love. My heart broke for Segreti. We met him in the prior book & we got to see some of the abuse he was subjected to by his from King. But we really get to see a scene in this book that Ezra "sees" and it was horrible. I would put Ezra in the demi-sexual realm as he never had any real feelings for anyone before Segreti and then he starts having these feelings that he doesn't un ...more

I was waiting for Ezra and Segreti's story ever since I realised they were going to be paired up as I was reading The Foxling Solidati. I loved how natural their chemistry seemed to be. On top of that, seeing a bookworm such as Ezra getting his mate is satisfying for us readers, isn't it? 🤓 The only thing that kind of threw me was that the plot was too big for such a short story and it left a feeling that the whole was crammed into those pages. If this was elaborated with an additional 100+ page ...more

It's been more than 2 years since I've read the first two installments in this series but I'm SO HAPPY Charlie decided to gift us with this installment. Charlie DID remind us a bit of what's going on or has been going on so if you're like me, don't worry about it. Also we get to see the two other couples together which more than a reminder was also quite the treat.

Ezra have been one of Kind Khalon trusted advisors. He is a healer and a voice of the "Soldati Eye" giving him special abilities inc

The Soldati General is the third book in Charlie Cochet’s Soldati Hearts series. This is a fun, fantasy-like series that takes place in an alternate realm led by tiger shifters who protect the human realm from demons. It’s been more than three years since the second book was released, so I was excited to see Cochet releasing a new installment. From a plot standpoint, you can read this as a standalone, but the overall world building is more developed in the first boo

Love this series so much 😍

Ezra is a beautiful character and I love that Segreti treats him like a precious gift.

We get to see the previous characters couples too 😊

Ezra was absolutely adorable. I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing when he asked Riley why his face/body kept getting hot around Segreti. He was sweet with a kind soul and he never stopped reminding Segreti how brave, handsome and worthy he was.

Segreti was a respected General who saw more than his far share of horrible things. The vision Ezra saw and the horrifying things poor Segreti went through, literally left me crying.

These two were so damn beautiful together. Ezra was fierce when he had t

The Soldati Hearts series is becoming one of my all-time favorites! Ezra and Segreti were such quirky, lovable characters with the most wholesome hearts. Ezra's obliviousness about his own attractiveness was adorable, and every time he was totally unaware of why Segreti was reacting to him I laughed out loud. Segreti was so kind and patient and good-natured, and the way he lit up when Ezra wanted to spend time with him made me melt. Though their romance was soft and sweet, Ezra and Segreti's adv ...more

I usually don't go for sweet but in this case I'm happy to make an exception. This book as the series in whole is a perfect mix of tender and passionate moments, action, angst and humor. The author built an imaginative paralel world filled with shifters whit special powers, interesting and likable characters, each will capture your heart in their own way. I recommend that you read the books in this series in order for better understanding and enjoyment. Ezra the Soldati tiger shifter and healer ...more

I have loved this whole series and The Soldati General is another perfect story telling from Charlie Cochet.
The characters and plot of the book is really engaging, something that you can't help but fall into right from the start. It's a short book but nothing feels rushed even though romance is quickly on the horizon for both MC's.
Ezra is such a sweetheart and I love that it takes Segreti's arrival for him to really come out of his shell showing how much impact love can have on you. Segreti appe

We come to the third book in Cochet's Soldati Hearts series. While the first two were re-releases of previously published novellas, The Soldati General is an entirely new work. Just FYI.

The number one thing you need to know about this book - Ezra is precious, and must be protected at all costs. He's just so sweet and innocent, and you will absolutely love him. And because Ezra is such an adorable character, he deserves a very special man to love him. Thankfully Segreti is worthy.

A strong way to finish a flawless series. Ezra and Segreti begin with rambling, flutters and cute awkwardness. Ezra seems more interested in books then socialising but finds it difficult to do anything else and Segreti seems to of begun some kind of wooing dance towards him. Such shy but strong Soldati is slowly beginning to take a more active role in life and Segreti but there is a plot to kill King Khalon and the suspect hits a bit too close to home and has Ezra questioning everything. The Soldati General is the third (and supposedly last) novella in the Soldati Hearts series. There are some continuations of previous story arcs so I'd recommend reading the books in order. In this book Ezra, healer and seer (he has visions courtesy of the Soldati Eye) and Segreti, retired Orso general, find themselves in each other's orbits. Ezra is an utterly adorable blend of power and naivety/innocence. His visions are vital to preserving the peace, yet his reaction to Segreti's courtship is ...more

Each of the novellas in this series comes in right around 100 pages, so the relationship development is very quick and instalove-y. Anyone who reads shifter books knows that this is often the case, though, no matter the length of the book, so I don't think it's out of place or detrimental to the story. I enjoyed this installment a lot, and though the story was short, the General and Ezra together were so sweet that the small dose of them I got in this book was just enough to satisfy. Book 1 of this series is still my favorite but The Soldati General comes in at a close second. Ezra and Segreti make such a good couple! Ezra is adorable and oblivious and so so sweet. But he's also extremely fierce, especially in defense of those he loves...he IS a Soldati after all. Segreti complements him so well with his strong but vulnerable personality. They're just what each other needs.

The ending was a little chaotic and confusing but not so much that I didn't enjoy the story. I apprecia

When a war weary bear shifter general falls for a scholary tiger shifter it can only mean perfection. I loved everything about The Soldati General. Segreti is this gentle giant who just wants to live the rest of his immortal life in piece. When he sees Ezra he knows that he has met his mate. Ezra has similiar feelings but doesn't quite understand them. He has never felt this way before. I loved how these two communicated with each other. No hidden agenda or games.

Soul of a warrior

What an exciting and twisty conclusion to a wonderfully magical series. I adore Ezra and how clueless he can be but would happily read all day with him. Segreti’s story hurt my heart but I know he’s found his family and a love that will last forever in Ezra. “Despite what you may believe, it is not merely my soul which is drawn to you, but my mind, my heart, body.” They have an amazing connection and I loved watching them fall for each other, sometimes literally. Ezra is the Soldati healer and Segreti is a retired Orso general. He comes to stay within the Soldati realm. He and Ezra start to explore their feelings when he learns Khalon’s secret and must help to save the King. They are in trouble of losing everything. This story was super sweet and fluffy at times. The story has action, romance, and some light angst. This was so good, absolutely loved this story! Fantastic!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. The Soldati General is the third book in tge Soldati Hearts series by Charlie Cochet.  This is a paranormal fantasy romance with action, magic, and a mystery.  Ezra and General Segreti's lovestory is sweet and I loved the chemistry between them.   A gruff retired general and the sweet yet powerful healer that shows him he is worthy of all his love.  So much emotion, suspense,  angst, and romance - all packed into their story.  The world this story takes place in is so fascinating snd I really re ...more

Book 3 in the Soldati Hearts series, this is a sweet addition. Ezra and Segreti are adorable together, and overall this is a very satisfying read.

These books aren't long, but they pack a satisfying punch - well written and easy to digest, I really enjoyed this. The world building continues to be solid, and both main characters are complex, with dangers to overcome together. I like that Cochet writes characters that communicate and support one another.

I really liked Ezra and Segreti. They are my favorite couple so far. Ezra sticks to himself and is quiet, but all that changes when Segreti shows up. The two don’t think they deserve the each other, but together they show the other just how much they do. Both men were sweet and kind.

I liked that all the couples show up in this story and together they bring down the bad guys. I guessed early on what was happening and I was right, but it didn’t stop my enjoyment of the story. There’s a little bit

Ezra and Segreti were too cute. I loved how oblivious Ezra was about his feelings. It was cute to see his reactions to Segreti's flirting. This was a great ending to this series. We got to see how the "Eye" communicated to Ezra and the powers it gave him. We were treated to a cute Orso/Foxling potential couple. And we got to see the King and Prince work together to stop the threat on his life. But the real stars of the show were Ezra and Segreti. We got to see how they were able to come together ...more

I think I just burned out on this series. I read the first two very close together in preparation for this release and while I liked them they didn't blow me away. So when I got to The Soldati General I was struggling to get into the story. A big part of this was the disconnect of what we're told about the characters and what we actually see about them on the page. I noticed this in the other books too but I guess it bothered me more i

I loved this third book in the series. Ezra and General Segreti finally have their story. It's full of action and intrigue. Stoic, silent Ezra finally shows us who he is. His friendship with Riley has always been firm but his connection and love for Segreti eclipse it and for a moment I thought he might stumble because of his devotion. Segreti lived up to my every expectation of the man who has the Soldati King's respect. I'm crossing my fingers that Fausti gets a chance to have his HEA too.

It keeps getting better!!!

I love this series!!! This one was much more intense. But then Ezra is a healer so he senses pain. Segreti is such a brave honorable warrior. Both of them consider themselves unable to receive love. Add to that what they have both suffered and the dangers they now face, it got a little dark. My heart broke for them. Seeing what Ezra was capable of was a real eye opener. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Great trilogy

I really enjoyed this series. I loved the world building and different type of paranormal characters in it.

I really loved Ezra. He is such a great and sweet character. He and Segreti made a great couple.

There was romance and intrigue and action all in this book and it was really well done.

My least favorite

It puzzling to me why authors of gay books are so afraid of expressing anger. If I was Ezra, I would have been furious & hurt, even if I understood the reasoning behind everything. This may be fantasy book, but emotions are real.

I'm general I have loved Charlie Cochet books.

The pages flew quickly, a bit of a quick romance in terms of falling in love, but I get that they've seen each other many times. I haven't read the other book in the series, so I can't judge and that's an oversight on my part.

I needed something super light, and I found it.

A story of struggle and fate. When you don't know what love is or how it feels it can scare a person. When a man has fought all his life for others and feels that he is not good enough for a mate.
This story brings two people together that understand what it is like to live a solitary life. It will make you cry and hope for love to win out.
