So many amazing books!

Ok, so I may have had a little falter when I opened this box set and my Kindle said 'average read time 53 hours' - I mean it is 12 books so ooookay. But once I started reading and this adjusted to my reading speed it dropped to just under 30 hours...not quite so daunting!
This was a free download, so I am not sure why you would need any encouragement to download it, but even if you have to buy it, it will be worth every penny! So here goes:

* Your Love Is Mine (Maine Sullivans #1/The Sullivans #19) by Bella Andre

* * * * 4 stars

Yes! In capital letters and bold font!

Every visit to a Sullivan family is a good visit, it makes no difference which of the Sullivan families it is! But for me this is not the best of the Sullivan books, it didn't seem to flow quite as fluidly as the rest. Cassie, being a Sullivan, is very talented in her chosen profession and being one of seven doesn't lack confidence or the ability to make herself heard, but Flynn throws her completely and hearing her nervous, verbal chatter is very funny! She is on a bit of an emotional roller coaster as she gets to know Flynn and Ruby.

Flynn escaped his horrific childhood and built his new very successful life but he lives in constant fear, for 20 years his fear has been that he would be found out but suddenly his life shudders to a halt when he finds out about Ruby, his biggest fear then...that she would grow up like he did.

This is a journey of discovery, of learning to provide and of facing your past, which in turn offers you possibilities of a future and allows you to hope and dream.

* Second Chance Charmer (Havenbrook #1) by Brighton Walsh

* * * * * 5 stars

It's not in the planner!

I loved this second chance story, Willow and Finn are explosive and steamy hot together. But fate and blackmail have already ripped them apart once, can they make their second chance count ten years later?
Willow is determined to protect her heart and stay away from Finn- she just needs to stick to the plan, Finn is determined to correct the past and claim the only girl he ever loved which means messing with her plan. This first book of the series has everything lust, laughter, heartbreak, fears, hope and most of all love.
With a cast you fall in love with (excluding the Mayor) and a town you will want to move to, I am hoping this will be a series with many more books, including ones for Willow's sisters, Drew, Nola and of course Avery too!

* Issued to the Bride One Airman (Brides of Chance Creek #2) by Cora Seton

* * * * 4 stars
Self doubt...

Sadie has plenty of that right now and it is killing everything around her. The General may have sent Connor to help her build her legacy, but her legacy has always been healing...hasn't it?
Connor is determined to succeed and no surly lass is going to stop him, can he sweep Sadie off her feet and help her heal herself before Cass returns from her Honeymoon?
It is sad seeing Sadie so downtrodden and despondent at the beginning of the book but seeing Connor work his magic and restore her confidence is beautiful. As always the General is overbearing, misogynistic and rude...but the rest of the family more than make up for him!

* One More Moment (The McCormicks #3) by Elena Aitken

* * * * 4 stars
It would never be anyone else

Milena has finally found herself, but is her new found confidence strong enough to battle a viper, fight for what her heart needs? Or will she once again crumble and allow defeat to overwhelm her? Milena is very real and relatable which has you cheering her on, encouraging her to grab every moment and embrace the future...but that is easier said than done.
Cal is gorgeous, successful, confident and a star, but he is also humble, caring and knocked to his knees by Milena and it is this that steals your heart...can he convince her he is worth the risk to her privacy or is he asking too much?

* Keep on Loving You (Calamity Falls #1) by Erika Kelly

* * * * * 5 stars
Broken

Finn broke them, she broke herself and crushed her spirit, six years on and they get a second chance but have they learnt anything or will they make the same mistakes again?
This book broke my heart, Finn and Callie are both so blinkered they totally fail to see who they really are, where home really is and that they are stronger together.
A fantastic first book in the series, I will definitely be reading more Calamity Falls.

* High Heels and Haystacks (Billionaires in Blue Jeans #2) by Erin Nicholas

* * * * * 5 stars
Yum!

A fantastic series, this is book 2, which I first read in 2018 when it came out and it was just as good this time around. Reading this will definitely make you want to read the other two books in the series (which I may just revisit too!)
Ava can run a multibillion dollar company and own a board room, so baking pies will be easy...right?! Unlike spread sheets pies 'feel' every emotion that goes into the pastry, every bit of stress, frustration and impatience just makes bad pies. Can Ava learn to love the pastry? Determined to multitask she learns her lessons the hard way...baking is not a multitasking activity....well maybe with Parker it can be, a kiss here, a touch there, he is definitely hot enough! Seeing the uptight, rigid Ava slowly crumble and the real Ava break through is awesome.
Speaking of awesome Parker is delicious and he can join me in my kitchen any time he likes! But can he break through Ava's shell and teach her to multi-cake with the best of them?

Hot Mess (Into The Fire #4) by JH Croix

* * * * * 5 stars
A sensual feast

Ward may be the tall, strong and silent type but he knows exactly what he wants...Suzanna. But it is a long and bumpy road to convince her, her wants her and he wants everything.
Zanna is not convinced, she thinks he just wants the steamy sex, she misses the love in his eyes, thinks his protective nature is more possesion and is convinced he will leave when the going gets tough....how wrong can she be!
Plenty of sparks, lots of steam and a hot firefighter to sweep you off your feet!

* Where I Belong (Pride Oregon #6) by Jill Sanders

* * * * 4 stars
Has Eva's past caught up with her?

I really enjoyed getting to know Rafe and Eva, he is so sweet as he gently coaxes the terrified, traumatised Eva into accepting a little help. Seeing Eva begin to accept her past and look to the future is heartwarming. I have not read any of the first five books in the series, but that didn't stop me enjoying this one and I will be going back to read the rest.

* To Get Me To You (Wishful Romance #1) by Kait Nolan

* * * * * 5 stars
'I've been waiting for her all my life'

'Boom' Cam explodes your heart!
I love Wishful, and whilst this is the first book I have read in the Wishful series, I have read all of the Wishing For A Hero series - a spinoff also based in Wishful, with all our favourite characters!
Your heart hurts for Norah, for her childhood, her citylife and the backstabbing that has come with it....but once she gets to Wishful her surrogate family remind her of everything that is really important in life.
You cannot visit Wishful and not want to go back again and again and again!

* Proxy Bride (The Lindstroms #1) by Katy Regnery

* * * * 4 stars
An ever-fixed mark

Sam may have been quick to judge 'snippy and bitter'? He quickly realises Jen is anything but, she is warm, funny, natural, smart, beautiful...and the woman he is going to marry!
Jen lost her confidence, she has stayed with safe and familiar, but until Sam she didn't realise she was just existing, not living.
But Jen can't live in Sam's world any more than he can live in hers...can they find a middle ground they can both live with?

* Wrapped in Love (Boys of Jackson Harbor #4) by Lexi Ryan

* * * * 4 stars
Not perfect....but perfect for each other

Molly and Braydon really put us, and themselves, through the wringer in this one. An emotional storm of every emotion possible, leaving you dazed but relieved and happy when they finally find themselves. Noah also steals your heart repeatedly, this one is deep but definitely worth the read.

* Seducing Sawyer (Wishing Well Texas #7) by Melanie Shawn

* * * * 4 stars
Wanting, needing, craving...

Sawyer has spent 10 years wanting Delilah, avoiding her whilst craving her, he is sending himself crazy!
Delilah has soent the last 10 years wanting Sawyer, trying to 'bump' into him, hungry for gossip about him, craving him, she is sending herself crazy!
A sweet, funny, poignant, frustrating love story with:
* A tall, dark and broody lead - check
* A gorgeous, curvy, sexy woman - check
* Interfering and outspoken family members- check
* Plenty of awkward situations and misunderstandings- check
* A great book which leaves you wanting to visit Wishing Well again - check

Romance genre: Small town; anthology
Length: 3130 pages

12 full-length novels:

Your Love Is Mine by Bella Andre - Andre is one of my favorite sweeter authors. I've loved everything I've read from her, and this book was no exception, In this one, we visit the Maine Sullivans, where Flynn, a successful screenwriter, has been sent by a friend to stay in Cassie Sullivan's cabin while he regroups after the death of his sister, which led to him taking custody of his infant niece. At first, he's very standoffish; he's hurting, for many reasons. But Cassie is relentlessly cheerful, sweet, and understanding, and eventually wears Flynn down. He'll give her his secrets and in return, she'll give him her heart. 5/5

Second Chance Charmer by Brighton Walsh - Finn is back in town after ten years, having left his girlfriend Willow with no word or explanation. He never stopped loving her, but he sees now how much he hurt her. She's not living the life she always dreamed of; currently, she's working for her father, the mayor, and he is not a nice person. Finn wants to tell her why he left, but he's not sure that would be a good idea. He's in town to open the town's first bar, and he's hoping to rekindle his relationship with Willow. What comes next is still up in the air. A case of simple and stupid miscommunication. How her dad is still mayor I'll never know. 3/5

Issued to the Bride: One Airman by Cora Seton - Connor has been ordered by his General to the General's family farm, where his five daughters still live. He hasn't been back in years, and there is definitely bad blood, but he's been collecting military men to send to the farm, he says to protect the girls, but really, he has ordered the men to marry the girls (something to do with who inherits the farm?). Connor isn't sure he wants all of that (the marriage, that is), but he ikes Sadie well enough, once he meets her. Sadie wants nothing to do with another low-down man, though. However, there is danger afoot, and Connor needs to step it up to protect Sadie and the rest of the girls.
This book confused and irritated me. There was the paranormal aspect (Sadie's connection to the land); the fact that the General was sending these men to marry his daughters without the daughters knowing that's what was happening, and the fact that it seems like he promised the men that they would inherit (or partially inherit - I don't know for certain - I feel like that's something that might have been revealed in the first book); we don't know why the General won't talk to his daughters, there's a mystery aspect that doesn't add up (the meth trade); Connor himself: he's a jackass who does nothing but flirt with other women for a large portion of the book and we're supposed to believe that he fell in love with Sadie - but when? How? He doesn't seem like he loves her when he first shows up (and she definitely doesn't love him at first), he never tells her he was sent there to marry her, and he only went because the General blackmailed him (which, what the heck?). 2/5 stars

One More Moment by Elena Aitken - Cal and Milena - oh, this one was sweet! Cal is a hot new actor, starring in what will probably become a new hit show. He's filming in the small town he spent summers in as a child, a place where his brothers now live. He meets Milena, who, while different from the supermodels he normally dates, is exactly what he wants and needs. Milena is on a journey of self-acceptance, and Cal helps with that, just with his adoration. But of course there's an evil ex (who is absolutely despicable). 4/5

Keep on Loving You by Erika Kelly - Fin and Calliope. They were a hot and heavy couple back in high school, planning on going to college together, when he left the day before they were supposed to leave. He went off with his brothers on some long-term winter sports adventure. She broke up with him (it wasn't the first time he had done something like that) and went off to college and then grad school. She's back in town for her brother's wedding, and after a fiasco with her boyfriend and an internship, she ends up staying in town. Fin has never stopped loving her, never moved on, so he is determined to win her back. If only he can figure out what he did wrong the first time.
Gah, this was my least favorite. I don't think I've ever read such an immature hero before. He kept messing up, and every time she would say, "I can't believe I fell for his promises again," and then she would forgive him, and they'd do it all over again. I don't understand what he thought he was doing, but honestly, he never had a chance to be anything other than what he was - son of a billionaire, privileged, winter sports guru (seriously, is there anything more white rich boy cliched than snowboarding as a career?!). Every time she needed him or he promised to be there, he didn't show. They were both young (23, I think) so she had plenty of time to find someone new - I wish she would have. 2/5

High Heels and Haystacks by Erin Nicholas - Ava and Parker are oil and water - right? But they feel a pull that just won't stop. Ava needs to date someone to fulfill the terms of her father's will before she can go back to running the company in New York. Out here in this small town in the middle of Kansas, though, she's also responsible for a pie shop. She can't cook. Parker runs the diner next door and relies on routine, a routine that Ava is destroying piece by piece. But there's something there, something bigger than pie and diner hamburgers.
This was my absolute favorite of the anthology. It was a little different, and I can't quite put my finger on why that was. Part of it, I think, was that the story developed slowly without so many hints about what was going on with Parker. He was a mystery, and I liked that. I felt like I was getting to know him along with Ava. The life lessons went both ways - neither of them had the upper hand in the relationship, and I liked that too. 5/5

Hot Mess by JH Croix - Ward and Susannah shared a hot one-night stand a few years ago, and now he's back as the fire chief. They share another hot night together, and if Ward has his way, it won't be the only one. Susannah is a little more reluctant: he's her boss and she's not sure it's a good idea. But then she comes up pregnant and Ward shifts it into high gear to convince Susannah that she is his one. 4/5

Where I Belong by Jill Sanders - Rafe and Eva meet by accident. Eva is homeless, running away from a tragedy, and trying to get a little break in small town Oregon. She is running from a cop and hides behind the counter in Rafe's bookstore. He is taken with the damaged beauty, but getting her to open up to him is not an easy task.
Poor Eva. She was damaged, to be sure. Running from the hospital like that was a bit extreme, and I can't believe she was able to just walk out. I would have liked a little more from the reunion with her parents - them explaining why her father was so distant, them saying they forgave her (but that she didn't need it because as we found out in the smallest thought of Eva's it probably wasn't her fault at all). But the relationship between Rafe and Eva was solid, built on trust that was slowly developed. It felt real. 4/5

To Get Me To You by Kait Nolan - Norah is blindsided when she finds out her company had her engage in unethical behavior, unbeknownst to her. When she protests, she's fired and her boyfriend, a co-worker, breaks up with her at the same time. She goes to visit her best friend and lick her wounds, and there meets her friend's cousin, Cam. She agrees to help Cam with a city problem (he's a councilman), and during that time, they fall in love. But Norah believes she's not cut out for small-town life, marriage, and all that entails, so she breaks it off. Fate will have its way though!
Norah irritated me a little because she couldn't set her mind to compromise outside of work, and she was hurting Cam in the process, all in the name of not hurting him. 3.5/5

Proxy Bride by Katy Regnery - Sam and Eva meet because they are standing as proxies so her friend and his cousin can get married. They definitely get off on the wrong foot, but once they get to know each other, they start to realize they might be what each other is looking for. But then a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart. (I'm going to say that it's less of a misunderstanding and more of Sam acting selfishly. He's a pretty shallow character, and I'm not sure he really redeems that aspect of himself until the very end of the story, like the epilogue end of the story).
This is Katy Regnery writing as Katy Paige, her sweet romance name. And it was sweet - sickeningly so. I found it a little odd, because it was modern, but the way that Jenny talked and acted made me think it was back in the late 1800s. It felt like going back in time, with the Norwegian and the churchgoing talk and the emphasis on purity, etc. I just found it improbably and not to my taste at all. I like this author's regular stories though, so it's not that she's a bad writer, not at all. It was like an extra-sweet Hallmark movie. 3/5

Wrapped in Love By Lexi Ryan - Brayden and Molly had a hot one-night stand that, according to Molly, was a mistake. She needs the job he's offering, and she doesn't want to mess that up. Brayden can't get her out of his mind though and has plans for the pretty single mom. She's damaged though, the victim of abuse from her stepfather () and the consequences of that abuse include her promiscuous behavior in high school that led to a reputation that continues to follow her. Brayden doesn't care about that, though, because he sees the real Molly. Getting her to see that person, though, is more difficult than he imagined.
I really liked this one. It felt realistic. Molly was hurt, and yes, maybe even a little broken (that word was a point of contention in the story). She was a survivor though, doing whatever was necessary to provide a good life for her son. She didn't deserve what happened to her, and it seemed like Brayden was the only one who ever came t her rescue and whoever stopped to think about why she would do the things she did. And she had small relapses and negative thoughts and regrets and fears, just like you would expect. It wasn't something that magically cleared up within a few chapters. This is an author I will read more of. 4/5

Seducing Sawyer by Melanie Shawn - Sawyer, big, silent, and hurting, knew that he should stay away from Delilah. After all, he only seemed to hurt the women he loved. But Delilah wants Sawyer. She's been preparing for this for years, learning to love herself and pumping herself up with self-help books and positive mantras. She has a plan, and she'll make Sawyer fall in love with her no matter what it takes. She doesn't realize though that getting him to love her is the easy part; getting him to accept that he deserves her is the real challenge.
I like the big silent type, but in this case, if Sawyer had only talked to someone about those relationships that went sideways, he might have been able to come to terms with his capacity to love. The first thing with the teacher wasn't even a relationship, for goodness sake! He had a crush. The other things definitely weren't his fault, but he saw a pattern and decided to break it, at his own expense. I'm so glad Delilah didn't give up - I would have by that point! 3.5/5

Second chance charmer - Great characters and cool small town. I can't wait to read the next in the series
One more moment - Another brilliant book in this series. I love the two different main characters, the tv star and the ordinary girl.....nothing ordinary about the chemistry these two share. Some small hurdles to get over before they can cement their relationship but love gets them through. I look forward to Declans story next.
High heels and haystacks - I totally loved the first book and didn't think this could beat it......but it did! Lots of sizzle and spice that leaves you thinking totally different about pies and spice. Such a hot a fun storyline.
Hot Mess - I enjoyed this and it fits well with the rest of the series.
Where I belong - I enjoyed Eva and Rafe and how they came together. Slowly trust builds and ends in more good things coming their way.
To get me to you - LOVED this, this is the first book I read in the Wishful series and it hooked me in from the start. Great characters in Norah and Cam and love the town setting of Wishful

Great family

I loved the first storya a lot. Flynn had depth to his character. I think some more homework should have been done on what 6 month old babies can do and generally not do. At 6 months old babies are just being introduced to food and usually the parent feeds them not the baby feeds themselves until about 9 or 10 months. And you still had her at 6 months 1 months after you introduced her at 6 months old so she should have been 7 months when you put her in the sand and nobody in their right mind would put a seven-month-old baby in a sand box because they would just eat it not interact with other babies. But I love the interaction between Cassie and Flynn.
Too many more books combined with this book to give details about eafh one.

Box set of twelve books by twelve different authors some known to me, something new. I read most of the twelve and enjoyed them. There were a couple I started but found difficult to get in to even after multiple attempts. Those I skipped and did not finish. All in all good reads and good selection of books by the various authors. I would recommend the book as in between reading and to take your mind odd what's going on around you when it's tough.

What can I say? So many authors, many of whom I already read (Belle Andre, J.H. Croix, and Kait Nolan -- I have read and own complete series by these great authors). Some of the other authors -- I will be watching for more of their books (Katy Regnery for one). So much fun, some serious, some making me want to reach within the pages to smack some sense into them. To get a bit misty eyed. You will find different levels of sexy and romance and all have warmth. Bravo!

There's at least one book in this I definitely won't read because the author has a reputation for being unkind to reviewers but there is also at least one book I already had on my wish list (the Erin Nicholas) and it was free so I was prepared to download it because there was no financial benefit to the BBA.

Definitely not a cozy version!

This book would appeal more to readers in their 20's and 30's. Unfortunately, that's not me. Lol. The story lines were interesting but I finally gave up at 50% because I couldn't take the torrid sexual scenes and foul language that each of the books in the series are peppered with.

Romance on Main Street was worth every single minute of reading. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will cheer, but most importantly, you will feel the love ❤️. Each story is written by a different author, some I have read before some I had not heard of, but I will want to read now 😊 Enjoy these wonderful stories!

Romance on Main Street

This is a great collection of books!. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants some good reading. They are all pretty much part of their Authors series individually, but every one of them is also good as a stand alone book.

Enjoyable.

I love reading anthologies, it’s a great way to meet new authors. My favorites in the one were the books by Bella Andre, Erin Nicholas, Jill Sanders, and Kait Nolan. I’d definitely re read this book.

I loved reading most of these stories. A couple I’ve read before and love. I tried to like a couple but failed, JH Croix & Bella Andre is definitely off my menu. Think I’ve fallen in love with Erika Kelly, Lexi Ryan, Brighton Walsh & Kait Nolan.....sighhh

This book is a wonderful collection of happily ever afters featuring some of my favorite authors and an introduction to new ones. I highly recommend this collection as a way to sample these author's styles. I found new series that I would like to read more of as soon as my budget permits.

Beautiful collection.

A great collection of sweet, steamy, and romantic stories by an amazing group of talented authors. This compilation introduced me to some great new authors and I can’t wait to read more of their work.

Disappointing

Most of the books in this collection have main characters who have very low sexual standards, which to some of us equates to low character. There are plenty of better books out.

Loved this!

This compilation of authors have put together a great book! Every story was a great read. I saw this book on Facebook and I am so glad that I got it to read. I now have new authors to follow and to read their individual books

This is a great collection of small town romances written by some amazing authors. I had already read a few, but enjoyed all the same. That's how good they are.

Great reads from some great writers. Not all stories would be for everyone, but for the most this is an enjoyable collection.
