When I read The Charm Offensive, book 1 in Webb’s City By the Bay Stories, I said, “…I hope The Charm Offensive’s universe becomes a series – there are other stories to be discovered with the supporting characters.” Well it did become a series & those supporting characters did get their stories – and finally Drew gets his happily ever after too! I don’t know if this is the last book in the series or if the author will revisit it later, but she is starting a new series in August so I was especial ...more

Three Makes a Family is the next in the City by the Bay stories but is also a stand alone. This is a story of discovering the love that was always there in an old friendship and having the courage to accept it. Molly and Drew were friendly adversaries in law school but time and distance separated them. Now Molly is a single mother to an adorable nine month baby girl, a top defense attorney, and working towards establishing her own practice in San Francisco. Drew worked for the DA's office but is ...more

Thank you in advance to the author, Cari Lynn Webb, for providing a complimentary review copy through Prism Book Tours. A positive review was not requested or required, and all words are my own.

This was not my first introduction to the author’s writing, and it certainly won’t be my last.

I did an independent review for In Love by Christmas, which is book #5 in the City by the Bay series. I also reviewed book #6, Her Surprise Engagement through Prism Book Tours. I also read Montana Wedding, again

A terrific contemporary romance, Cari Lynn Webb’s latest tale for Harlequin Heartwarming Three Makes a Family is absolutely adorable!

Molly McKinney is a lawyer who is driven by one thing and one thing only: being the absolute best she can possibly be. Being average is certainly not something Molly is interested in and she spent her life working as hard as she possibly can to prove to everyone that she was simply unbeatable. Being the best has always been important to Molly, but now that she has

Three Makes a Family is the seventh book in the City By the Bay series but can be read as a stand-alone. I read it as a stand-alone but after meeting all the couples from the earlier books I really want to go back and read them. It was a clean, sweet romance that touched my heart. I loved seeing the friendships grow and the support the friends had for each other.

ari Lynn Webb has, once again, created a fun, captivating Contemporary Romance winner!

Molly went against her own instincts and fell into an "in office" romance with a colleague. When a unexpected pregnancy occurred, she was devastated to discover what she thought the relationship meant and what her boyfriend viewed it to be was very different. She did not want marriage or to be a dad.

Molly accepted a challenge from an old college friend's parents to represent him in a charge which would disbar h

This was a sweet romance between two long time friends who were destined to be together. And one adorable baby girl by the name of Hazel.

Molly and Drew, both lawyers, have been friends since their college days. Molly and her baby girl have moved back home due to Molly's ex being a real jerk. Molly wants sole custody since he never really cared for either of them. Molly gets her chance to start her own firm when she is hired by Drew's family to represent him in a case that could destroy his caree

I love this series by Ms. Webb. All the books standalone. You will see characters from other books in each. In Three Makes a Family I truly enjoyed the heartwarming feelings throughout. When lawyer and single mother Molly McKinney is found defending Drew Harrington that man she had difference of opinions with in school.. but she would not turn her back when he needed help. Drew wasn’t happy about the way things were handled about Molly taking his case. But she was professional. She would help hi ...more

I'm so glad this is part of a series! Molly McKinney is an attorney who is looking for a fresh start with her 9 month old daughter Hazel. Drew Harrington was a popular and successful district attorney until he is accused of witness tampering and his future is on the line.

Drew and Molly went through law school together and challenged each other. Molly moved north to start with a high powered law firm, while Drew stayed in San Francisco and pursued DA work. When Molly returns to San Francsico, Dr

I've yet to meet a Carrie Lynn Webb book that I didn't love. She writes the cutest, sweetest, most charming clean romance books, and Three Makes a Family once again proves this! I've read two other books in The City by the Bay series (my reviews are linked above), but all of these books can be read as stand alone books.

This is a bit like a second chance at romance book; however, Molly and Drew, the main characters, were never romantically involved. They were best friends at law school, and Molly

Three Makes a Family by Cari Lynn Webb is a very cute heartwarming, clean romance. Drew Harrington and Molly McKinney met in Law School. Drew's family hires Molly to act as his legal counsel for Drew. Drew has been charged with witness tampering and wanted Molly wanted to start her law career in a new town so she moved to where Drew lives to defend him. Drew doesn't want to involve her in his mess that he knows he is not guilty but can't prove it. They work together to prove his innocence. Drew ...more

Another good book where Cari-Lynn folds in family, friends, humor, human caring mixed in nicely with a drama event. Drew Harrington is a lawyer who is faced with being charged for witness tampering, the possibility of being disbarred, and going to jail.
Molly McKinley, college friend and top notch criminal lawyer, moves from LA to San Francisco. Molly left LA and a top law firm after being dumped by the father of her child. There is good humour involving Drew’s family, humanity when Drew assists w

OK, let me just get this out of the way. Every scene in Three Makes a Family that included Drew and Hazel, or Drew and Nala, melted my heart.

His easy confidence and her delight in his attention just proved what a good-hearted man he was. Something Molly knows from their days in college together, but she’s been burned before and learned to keep her personal and business lives separate.

Cari Lynn Webb returns readers to this wonderfully tight-knit group of friends while introducing them to Molly, H

Engaging story about 2 lawyers who were best friends through college and law school reconnecting when life throws each of them a curve ball. I liked Molly’s generous, forgiving, caring, open heart personality. I loved her unconditional love for her daughter and her priorities which put Hazel first. I liked her unconditional support of Drew and her new friends.
Drew changes after Molly reenters his life. He opens up, becomes more playful and less work only orientated. He rejoins his famil

Three Makes a Family by Cari Lynn Webb is about old friends Molly McKinney and Drew Harrington. They met in law school, where Molly’s encouragement nudged Drew to graduate at the top of their class and Drew’s suggestions kept them laughing and remembering that life is more than just work.

Years later, Molly’s new to town with her baby girl, and Drew is facing a serious threat to his career. His family hires Molly to act as his legal counsel, but as they renew their friendshi

I have been waiting for Drew’s story since he was introduced in his brother’s book, The Charm Offensive (book one in City By The Bay series). Drew is such a likable and charming character. His chemistry with Molly turns the pages on its own. Too many scenes had me fawning over Drew. Drew’s rescue of the puppies and their mother with his brother Brad, and each scene he held Molly’s daughter. Not only is the cover of this book captivating, but the story line is also enjoyable, which is all about c ...more

If you want a soft, easy romance read then this book will appeal to your reading senses. I can't rate it higher than a three because I honestly saw no new material in this book. It is a very formulatic romance novel and while it is well written it doesn't go anywhere.
I guess we are supposed to be worried about what the main characters might be endangered by but it (the danger) is never really produced. Doggon, the person supposedly threatening the characters never even makes an appearance on th

This was such a heartwarming story. I imagine little Hazel being the life of every party as people LOVE babies. Drew and Molly had been best friends in law school but parted ways to build their careers. Tragedy brings them back together and with Hazel in the picture they pick back up where they left off in law school but the stakes are much higher. Doubt causes Drew to be a typical man and push Molly away but he is miserable and misses her just as she misses him. I’m glad his mom and brother wer ...more

I received an ARC of this heartwarming book. I liked the characters and the plot. The book was well paced and an easy read. Molly and Drew reunite under very difficult circumstances and have to work their way past preconceived ideas on friendship, trust, exes, family, and love. I don't think anyone could resist Hazel! While Molly and Drew are the major players, the secondary characters are very invested in their roles in Molly and Drew's lives. Fans of Debbie Macomber would appreciate Ms. Webb's ...more

Three Makes a Family is an amazing, powerful story that contains puppies, a darling baby, abuse of power, corruption, manipulating witnesses and more. Drew is the fall guy who will lose his livelihood, Molly is the old friend who wants to defend him and establish herself in a new city. Will Molly and Drew be able to clear his name or will they both go down? This is an exciting book that kept my attention from page one. The characters are well done. The intricate plot is well executed and, of cou ...more

I enjoyed this ARC immensely and want to thank those that sent it to me in advance for my honest review. Ms. Webb has a charming way of writing. She has a knack for writing a romantic story that does not need extremely explicit love scenes. Her characters are warm and friendly and care about each other and you can't help but get involved with them in a nice way. Once you look at the cover, you won't be able to resist buying this book! I highly recommend this book - it is well worth your time in ...more
