A rebellion to fight, magi to kill, and one goaty, ex-king of Hell to outwit.

Korri Kronos is a simple woman: she likes to hunt magi, murder them, and drink down their death spirits. She thinks of it as a public service for the witches who have been living under a cruel magi regime for centuries now. As an added bonus, every time she kills a magus, she sets a demon free. It's how she met her cabal: Lux, Malphas, Abaddon, and Baphomet.

With tensions rising between the witches and magi, Korri and her cabal know it's only a matter of time before Bolger descends into war. They have to free as many demons as they can before the magi attack, but they're thwarted at every turn by the magi and the former king of Hell himself, Satan.

Satan's obsession with his long-lost love leads him to make a bargain with Korri--spend time with him and he will share some of his power with her. The power is attractive: Korri and her cabal need it if they're going to realize their goal of freeing all the demons. But a bargain with the devil is never a good idea. He's forgotten more ways to trick and cheat than they will ever know.

Korri, Lux, Malphas, Abaddon, and Baphomet aren't easily frightened, however, and the former king of Hell had better not forget who wears the crown now.

Beware! Inside you'll find:
Blood, gore, and stabbing
Ropes, blow jobs, and pretzel-type boning
Murder, mayhem, and multiple partners
More boinking

Hello! I'm a writer from Nebraska who enjoys fantasy of all kinds. Stories don't always seem quite as much fun without some element of magic.

I started out writing romances because that's what my best friend and I loved to read. (My other best friend and I wrote about our science teacher being an alien and hard boiled detectives.) I have a varied and exciting inner fantasy life, you might say.

My first full length novel was a fun private detective, contemporary, crazy love story. I'm working on rewrites so that I can get it out into the world. The first book I've published is an urban fantasy about a mother who doesn't know how to be a hero, but luckily she's a quick study.

I studied fiction writing at the University of Nebraska at Omaha but didn't truly appreciate the experience. Now that I've written millions of words, I think it might be fun to go back and take some more classes. (It might be fun...or it might be annoying, who knows?)

I love to read and I adore talking to people about writing and reading. And crochet!

Thank you for dropping by and thank you for reading my book. It honors me that you would spend some time in my imaginary world.

Not thrilled with the ending

I’m not thrilled with where this ended. We barely see Poppy, ever, she’s mostly an after thought or a driving force or something.

We have tons of typos, more than I noticed in the previous books. Literally there was the word book that was to be written but was typo’d ook my autocorrect already wanted to fix it...

I also enjoyed the series in some ways but also felt like Korri felt too full of herself, not much was really explained. We never get to see the action, ok I take that back we see some action but not all the events I would have liked. Like I was jarred by Poppy and Korri making up. Suddenly they are BFFs again? I’m not sure I believe Poppy could get over it so quickly.

Overall the book lacks a bit in filling in any missing plotholes or even letting us know why the goddesses were talking to Korri. We don’t even know what Satan did to her, no one can bring it up, and everyone is saying what’s done is done and that’s that. Like no. I was privy up until that point but I can’t even infer what Satan did to her.

Then when the magi get defeated we don’t even get to listen to them come together and figure out how to make things work, we are glossed over. The book ends with reassurances for Korri and her cabal. I guess we are to get more from Poppy, but I dislike when books are done this way.

Fell flat for me

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, but each subsequent book just lost its appeal to me. This book just seemed rushed at times, with important events just skipped over with just a vague mention. Like Poppy’s boyfriend dying in a public execution but that wasn’t mentioned until after the fact it already happened. The resolution between Poppy and Korrie was skipped over which was surprising considering how much of a subplot their argument was previously.

There were still a few plot holes that were never addressed or resolved by the end of this series which frustrated me. I think the author plans on doing another series with Poppy as the focus but I would have thought the war with the magi’s “god” would have been wrapped up with Korries story, not continued with Poppy. Poppy just never seemed like a character with any independence from Korrie or the mental fortitude to bring down this powerful being.

Lastly, this book had several typos like missing words, “ook” instead of “book”, and incorrect words. I did read the note from the author at the end which did say she struggled with writing this book and unfortunately I could tell she did. Like I said before, things just seemed rushed; the writing, the progression of the story and plot. I would still recommend this series for people who enjoy witches, demons, and plenty of steamy scenes. My review is just how I perceived the book which will be different from other readers so give it a try for yourself.

It's time to fight and the witch's an demons are working together to take down the mages. Korri and her demons have alot going on with Satan trying to find a way to bring back Lilith. Poppy is still in prison with her gargoyles and witch's have been disappearing. Korri and her demons with some help, take down Satan. The witch's and demons take down the mages an win. Poppy is getting her own book so we will see what happens in prison. Korri and her demons get some peace now let's see what happens with Poppy.

Amazing ending

I’m going to miss these characters, Korri has to be one of my favorite fmcs she had me laughing and rolling the whole book and was a total badass. I loved all her men and woman, and I hope to see them again in the Poppy’s book but if not I’m still very happy with this outcome. This was an amazing read start to end and had some of the most steamy scenes ever written.

no ending?

This one probably has the worst dialogue and does a lot of explaining what happens from a third party instead of letting us read through it happening, same with just saying some things happened between books then just moving on. This one was very disappointing

There's also no conclusion to a lot of plot points which you can't tell if it's a set up for another book or just forgotten about

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I didn’t realize this series was extending into another one, but I’m excited to read Poppy’s story! I really enjoyed reading about Korri and her demons. I wish we had all the answers about the prison, but I’m excited that we will see more from these characters in Poppy’s book.

Good read

With this book being the finally to the trilogy, I wanted epic. But, this book had typos, important parts rushed or time skipped. Plus no Poppy, we have to read her book to find out what happens to her.

Fantastic end

Through the trilogy the growth in the relationship of the group has been amazing. The twists and turns the story takes keeps you turning pages wanting to know what's next, at the same time not wanting it to be over. An absolute phenomenal series

The book was full of fun action and light humor, and it provided closure to many of the subplots in the overall story arc, other than whatever was happening in the prison with Poppy and her gargoyles (which is revealed to be another spin-off series). However, it was also a bit too hectic with all the characters bouncing from one battle to the next.

The ending with the of Satan by and the was pretty unsatisfying, and I didn't really understand it. I liked seeing cameos from lesser demons and a few non-cabal demons, but I wish the author had gone into more depth with the world-building rather than just skimming over a few important characters for the plot.

The pure number of characters in the book also made it a bit hard to follow, especially since I read the previous book in the series hundreds of books ago. It was difficult to recall all the relations and their history, as some characters weren't recapped that well, like Xezbeth. A few annoying plot issues I also had were

It was a decent conclusion to the series, but I think it could have been better paced with more exposition. I would still recommend the series overall to someone into reverse harem, demons, and violent descriptive political intrigue.
