I had never heard of Lisa Jordan before but I am sure glad I took a chance and picked up A LOVE REDEEMED.

Ms. Jordan instantly hooked me and pulled me right in from the very first page and never let me go. Hang on tight! It is going to be a very crazy and bumpy ride. After things go south with her career, Bella goes home to her Dad and the family diner. She walks in to find her father on the floor and her life gets even more insane! Her best friend from high school, Tucker, offers to help her with the diner if she agrees to help him take care of his twins. Now what could possibly go wrong with this arrangement?

A LOVE REDEEMED shows how when we turn ourselves over to God anything is possible. I highly recommend this book for readers who enjoy clean reads with true to life characters. Lisa Jordan grabs her readers by the heart and never lets them go. Tucker became widowed three years ago and he is struggling to raise his young children, work as an EMT, and just keep his head above water. He misses his wife and is still very much in love with her. Bella does not want to become a fill in for his wife and knows Tucker can’t commit and move on. Love Inspired books are so perfect when you want to escape the real world.

All the characters in A LOVE REDEEMED are very relatable and not perfect at all. You can’t help but feel each emotion that they are dealing with. When one of them was happy, I was happy. When Bella was crying, I was crying too. I love when an author does that to their readers. I truly was an emotional mess after reading this heart tugging story. Now that I have read A LOVE REDEEMED and discovered Lisa Jordan, I’m excited to read more of this new to me, auto buy from now on author.

If you are looking for a heart tugging read that is filled with troubling times, but still fills you with hope, please take a chance and read A LOVE REDEEMED. It is so real that you need to keep the tissues close by because your emotions are going to be on one crazy roller coaster ride. Once you finish devouring this story, you are going to want to tell everyone you know about this awesome book.

What a nice love story, full of second chances for both Bella and Tucker. Both of these characters had hurts from the past to overcome. Tucker had to decide if he was strong enough to love again after losing his first wife and Bella carried her own insecurities ingrained inside of her from her mother's abandonment of her when she was a child.

I really liked the way the attraction and romance grew between these two. It was clear that there were feelings between them that were more than friendship, but they still had much to work through before they had a chance at love.

When Bella returns to her father’s diner after a humiliating situation at her job, her former best friend shows up when she’s freaking out. Tucker’s calm and collected on the outside but as a single parent to twins, taking college courses, and his job as an EMT, he has a lot going on in his life.

I know I say this often, but I am a huge fan of the friends to more romance trope and Lisa Jordan writes a believable relationship between these two characters that made me sigh with contentment in the end. Plus, who can resist the twins who steal Bella’s heart?

Sure, they both have some obstacles to overcome—from family to careers to grief and more—but the journey is what makes the ending of A Love Redeemed all the sweeter.

This is an endearing story that tells you to keep faith. Even if you feel like you have lost all hope, God will find a way to make things right again.

To begin with, the author also described the characters in a charming manner. Tucker and Isabella are both grieving for their own reasons in different manner.s Although Isabella is a strong character who tries new things professionally, she is scared to open her heart. However, Tucker and Isabella share a wonderful chemistry. I love their scenes together, from having dinner (with the Hero Basket) to how she spends time with the children. Moreover, the children, Landon and Olivia, are adorable. I loved the manner Isabella bonds with them. It was so cute the way she deals with them and solves their problems. Similarly, the supporting characters, like their friends and family, also add so well to the mix.

But the story is not just a simple love story of two people getting together. It is also a story about how they deal with various relationships and keep faith for things to work out. For example, I loved the scene where Isabella reminisces about her mother and sets a plan to communicate with her. Also, there are some pleasant twists and turns that I did not foresee. For instance, I never expected Justin to make a sudden appearance and shake things. Another reason why I enjoyed reading this was because there are no villains per se. Its just a sweet tale about two people trying to overcome their grief and take the next step. Overall, this was a short and sweet romance which I liked reading.

Another sweet read from Love Inspired!

Isabella Bradley simply wants to stay in her hometown long enough to plan out her next steps—while saving her father’s diner. Unfortunately, she cannot do it without the help of old friend and struggling parent Tucker Holland (and conveniently, he could use her help, too). Their arrangement, of course, sparks undeniable, plan-changing feelings, but sorting out the future never has proven an easy feat.

Lisa Jordan’s A Love Redeemed offers a perfectly enjoyable, fun romance—exactly the kind of quick pick-me-up I expect to experience from Love Inspired. I cannot resist a good friends-to-love story, and both Isabella and Tucker are characters I loved getting to know, especially as their friendship evolves. Definitely worth the read, if you enjoy contemporary romance!

A love redeemed is a sweet clean love story that drew me in from the first page. Although this is my first read from Lisa I really loved and enjoyed the story.

This a story of second chance, love found again, hope and faith.

Bella (my favorite) returns home to clear her head and lay low for a while after being fired from work only to find her dad and his diner in a bad shape and decides to stay home long enough to see her dad back to his usual self again. But when she runs into her old friend Tucker and strikes a business deal with him, she begins to consider staying on.
Tucker being a widower and single dad of twins has his hands full with work and school and raising his kids. Falling in love was not part of the plan when he asked Bella to help care for his kids. This story will keep you turning page upon page until you're done.
Both Bella and Tucker had to let go of past hurts and disappointment and really hold on faith for them to cling to one another. I really loved their love story, how it blossomed and the hurdles they had to get through.

I received a complementary copy of this book from the author and this is my honest opinion.

A Love Redeemed is the perfect clean read to kick off the fall season! Just like the perfect pumpkin spice latte, this novel has all the goods. The story line is one that has been popping up in a lot of my reads lately: renovations and cooking. I love the parallels of both restorations and cooking to life, both setting up the perfect ingredients for love.

The main characters, Bella and Tucker, have been friends forever, so the banter between them is comfortable, and the attraction immediate, but it takes a lot more to get these two together, including a lot of self-doubt and soul searching for both parties, each having been through quite a bit of drama up to the point that they reconnect.

I am a sucker for a good story that has a single dad and adorable twins, and reading about the rambunctious Landon and Olivia was a joy. Pair that with Tucker, who is a wonderful father, and the connection between the twins and Bella, and it gives you such a wonderful sense of family. It was a pleasure to get to know these wonderful characters, who shine off the pages, and watch them grow throughout the story.

A Love Redeemed is a clean read, with a wonderful pace, and good writing that highlights fleshed out characters who are just trying to get by and figure out life when they've been hit with some pretty hard curveballs.

Love Inspired books are always a sweet delight. Books to unwind and enjoy.
Beautiful story this one! Sweet and heartwarming.

Isabella and Tucker did not have love as part of their plans or arrangement but love has a mind of it's own. Lol! I enjoyed how love sneaked up on them and theirs was a beautiful one with the icing on the cake because of the adorable twins. There was healing, redemption, love and friends becoming more. It was a beautiful and courageous experience for Isabella as she renovated her father's diner with Tucker's help.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

A Love Redeemed is a short, sweet romance by Lisa Jordan. Isabella Bradley returns home to Shelby Lake, defeated and struggling to find her place in life. When she discovers her father collapsed on the kitchen floor of his diner, her life starts down a track she never expected.

Tucker Holland is tired. Unexpectedly widowed three years ago and raising young twins while working as a paramedic and going to school, he’s not sure how to keep going. Especially when his babysitter has to leave town. Enter his high school best friend, Bella, and a mutually beneficial deal to help one another.

I enjoyed A Love Redeemed. The culinary piece kept reminding me of a cozy mystery, a genre I like, so I kept expecting a mystery to develop around every corner. Especially with Joe’s near-death experience in the first chapter! Bella and Tucker were likable characters, though Bella seemed a bit stuck. What I found most challenging was that it felt like I was missing chunks of the story because I hadn’t read the previous books.

If you enjoy short, sweet romance, try A Love Redeemed. Or perhaps start at the beginning of the books so you have an even greater understanding of all the dynamics at play. Then tell me what you think!

NoTe: This is number two in a series (of maybe four?), but it's not labeled as such. Have fun with that - there's no numbering, no link to the series... it's problematic. You read it as a stand-alone, but know that these people are 'familiar' to some readers... just not you.

I am wading thru 'Love, Inspired' books by the literal hundreds. Got a huge collection for next to nothing, and while 65% of them should never have even been published, there are a few good authors in the mix. My goal is to find the treasures.

Lisa Jordan has the *ability* to be one of the treasures. Starting off, her writing is beautiful, she spends the extra time on the details, she writes from the heart and creates characters with a little more depth than the other LI writers. For that I gave her an extra star. But only at the beginning. It's like a giant psyche-out... and it's a shame she doesn't continue that. Instead, she falls in to the mindless sameness of the other lackluster authors, likely in an effort to fit in.

Mostly because I'm beginning to suspect that there's a form list of topics that the LI panel gives their writers, and they are required to incorporate certain things in their books. Twins. Triplets. Cowboys. EMTs. Renovating something. Long lost love returned. Hidden child. Military come home. Save the ranch. Bad boy redeemed. Outreach program. Temporary nanny. Orchard. And bonus points if you do three or more in one book.

This one is EMT, twins, renovating, temporary nanny, orchard and long lost love returned. Yet again we have another 'Joe's Diner' (←Gail Sattler actually titled hers that)... although this one is far closer - almost identical - to the diner in Jenna Mindel's version. It was a bakery in Dana Corbit's version, and a family restaurant in 'Small Town Bachelor'. Like I said, it's the same story, over and over and over again.

So Bella is unfairly fired for peanut flour mixed in her powdered sugar that sent a bridesmaid into anaphylactic shock at a wedding she was catering... but she insists on pg 28 that her kitchen was 'safe'... even though there was PEANUT flour in it. That's... not 'safe'. So even if it was an accident, she's a liar. She gets fired, goes home, and THE NIGHT she hits her hometown, her dad has a diabetic episode while cooking at 9pm (?!?!?!?!) in the closed diner, starts a fire, and has to be rushed to the hospital. Ironic timing, all of that.

Tucker Holland is Bella's long lost love. He's one of the ridiculous kind of characters: He's an EMT, he's in the National Guard, he's renovating the diner, he's a college student going for a degree in grief counseling, he's co-owner of a large working farm, and all of this while single parenting TWIN five year olds. Yeah... mmmmmno. There aren't enough hours in the day, sweetie-pie.

Which is likely why his kids are raging brats - Livie screaming at Bella for taking a leaf out of her hair at their introduction, and Landon belligerent and craptastic at the same meeting. I know why they've been thru four nannies. Daddy's too busy with eighteen irons in the fire to actually be a parent, and they're hellions. Lovely. Our first interaction with Landon (he's FIVE) is him watching TV at 6am eating Cheese-balls and wiping orange all over his shirt. And by the way, if there's a goldendoodle in the house? There wouldn't be Cheeri-Os all over the floor.

Then there's the box social, exactly like the one in Mindel's book (←maybe that's on the requisite list too?!)... and they get together and decide that Bella will nanny for him while she's taking over her dad's diner, even though Dad doesn't want her to... a la 'High Country Hearts', by Glenna Kaye. (← might also be on the list. Who knows?) Have I mentioned all of these are the same?

The only difference is that Lisa gets closer to actually WRITING a story, here, than most do. But oh, there are issues. The writing becomes as poorly done as the others, by pg 8, when THIS happens:

"It had been the kind of night where someone could have died... Especially when they had returned to the station... only to be called out again for a motor vehicle accident - a rollover with fatalities." Um... honey? If there were fatalities, it wasn't the kind of night someone COULD HAVE died, they DID.

On Pg. 45 it says, "The red front door flew open, and she looked down into a miniature Tucker as a fluffy golden dog barked at his side." I've never looked *into* anyone, before, so that's... new... and in desperate need of an editor's note...

Pg 49: "Despite their insistence, the twins will need a bath." I'm pretty sure she meant 'despite their RESISTANCE', not insistence, because... that's all shades of messed up, too.

At which point I hit the hellion kids, and... no. Just no. I've read too many of these to slog through bad writing, nasty children rolling their eyes at adults, distracted parents, a TOTAL lack of anything spiritual in the first 50 pages (and there were some serious prayer moments - the loss of a job, the diabetic episode, the deaths in the accident)... NOT. ONE. MENTION. of the Lord or prayer or anything remotely spiritual.

I've got hundreds of these. I'm passing on this one.

A beautiful and sweet story. Bella comes home heartbroken and trying to find her footing again she tries to save her father's diner from closing. Tucker her childhood friend is roped into helping in exchange, she watches his twin children and it's a win win for both of them but slowly love seeps in and although they have a lot to overcome with work and family, I love that they were willing to give it a chance and something beautiful came out of this arrangement.
There's healing, learning to trust and love again. Overall this is a wonderful story

I really enjoyed reading this sweet romance by this new to me author! It was easy to read, with fun characters and an interesting story line.

I liked Isabella's (Bella) character and her love for family, especially her dad and their love for cooking. I liked reading about Tucker's twins and how they interacted with Bella as their new babysitter. Tucker and Bella's friendship help them thru their emotional struggles as they try to maneuver life, grief and faith.

This is a clean, romantic story that I really enjoyed and recommend for a light afternoon of reading.

I LOVE Inspired Books are one of my favorite Series to read. They are clean Christian Romantic books and always a good story in each book. A LOVE Redeemed by Lisa Jordan is no exception!

I was "roped" into the story from the very beginning. Isabella, Bella, goes
back home after losing her job a Chef. Her plan to stay temporarily while
helping her Dad get his Diner back on track, is derailed. A friend from the past, Tucker, offers to help remodel the Diner if she agrees to be the nanny for his Twin girls. Tucker is a widow and trying to focus on his girls. Bella and Tucker weren't thinking of a relationship, but as time goes on, they realize they are feeling a connection. Bella and Tucker both have pasts they must overcome, but could a permanent relationship be in the future for this couple?

A LOVE Redeemed is a PERFECT title for this book. The book is about Second Chances, moving forward after past hurts in relationships, and rediscovering one self. Trusting God even when you aren't sure his plans are the BEST. GREAT BOOK and Great message in the book.

What a sweet story!
Bella and Tucker both have been hurt bad in the past. When Bella comes back home after losing her job - she knows that she has to help save her fathers diner. Tucker, who is her childhood friend - needs a nanny - and Bella needs someone to help her renovate the diner. It seems like a win win situation..... or is it?

Tucker has had his hands full since losing his first wife. He is struggling as a single parent. Bella had some bad luck with her previous job. Both need to heal from their pasts. This book is a great reminder that God is faithful and he heals us.

The characters are well written - you will fall in love with them within the first chapter. The storyline is sweet and unique. I smiled a lot while reading this book.

I received copy of this book through the JustRead tours blogging program - all thoughts are my own.

Sweet book!

I love Tucker and Isabella. My two favourite characters.

The book title will pique your curiosity and the book cover
is just too beautiful!

I love Bella’s determination to help people around her.

Tucker’s twins made me smile while reading the book.

All those food mentioned in this book made me hungry. I wanted to taste Claudia’s special apple meal that Tucker boasted of.

“Don’t push yourself so hard, Bella. Things will come in God’s timing“. This quote encouraged me while reading the novel.

Themes of love, family, grief, second chances, career and others were explored in this book.

The love Tucker had for his kids warmed my heart. Before this book, I have read novels that were heavy on a mother’s love but this book opened my eyes to see fatherhood from Tucker’s eyes.

The author wrote a captivating great book that deserves 5 stars.

“Sometimes, your job is to trust God to show up”. What a nice Christian fiction novel full of faith, love, family and others.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
A Love Redeemed is a sweet story of second chances on love. After being fired from her job as a chef, because of something she didn't do that is, she returns home until she can put her life back together. Tucker is struggling with being a single dad after loosing his wife several years before. So let's compromise, you help me, I'll help you, right? Not! Things can get complicated!

I loved this story from the beginning. The characters were quick to fall in love with. There are several things going on in this story and fully kept my attention. I really like Bella and Tucker but things seemed so complicated between them, when it shouldn't have been. Tucker's twins are adorable and kept me laughing throughout the story. The supporting characters were amazing. I felt I met a new family as friends. And yes being a love story the ending is pretty predictable, but the fun is writing everything leading up to the great ending. This is a very well written story and I hope there is more from Lisa Jordan and Bella and Tucker's family!

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

This was a cute story that reminds you to trust God through all of life's circumstances. A Love Redeemed is the first book I have read written by Lisa Jordan and I ended up really enjoying it. Isabella, Bella, is just trying to pick up the pieces of her life. She never expected to stay and help her dad with his dinner or reunite with her childhood friend Tucker. Tucker was running out of options, after his nanny quits he knows he needs help. So when he runs into Bella, he offers up a compromise. She watches his kids and he will help out with the dinner. However, life gets more compliance when they find themselves falling for each other. But how will their love last when Bella is only going to be here for a little while?
I thought that Bella was a really cool character, she was so strong. And I was really jealous of her cooking skills. I loved reading about her interacting with the twins, it was so cute. The twins fell in love with her. However, Bella had her own baggage and I really felt for her as she tried to rebuild her life and help her dad out. She had to make decisions of what was more important to her family or her job.
Tucker was amazing, he worked so hard. I loved Tucker from the beginning, he was kind and he was a hard worker. He tried so hard to put his life back together after his wife died, but he was struggling. However, he still put his family first and tried his best to juggle life. I was so worried that he was going to break soon, but he had not only his family to help him but also Bella.
This was a great story. I really liked how Tucker and Bella were friends first. I have to admit I was really worried about how things were going to turn out, but in the end everything worked out well. I adored Tucker’s kids and his family. Family always makes everything better.
A Love Redeemed reminds you that no matter how hard your life gets, God is still in control and he loves you. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Jordan’s books!

Tucker Holland and Isabella Bradley have been friends for over sixteen years. During that time, Isabella earned her culinary degree while Tucker married and had twins. But Tucker has lost his wife and as a paramedic, struggles to find someone to care for his children. After a huge error that led to her losing her job, Isabella returns home to lick her wounds and finds out that her father needs help with his diner. She plans to save the diner but it is a task that she can't do alone. Tucker has the perfect idea and temporary solution: Isabella will be his nanny while he works and he will help her renovate the diner. However, both will find that they might want a more permanent solution--with each other.
From the first line, I was captured in this story. I enjoyed reading such a clean and wholesome romance. I loved each character's personal development and the romance between them as well. Isabella struggled with not knowing if she was worthy of love and Tucker had to learn to make room in his heart to love again. I loved their friendship and how that led to something more lasting. Despite their past pain, it was great to see how God gave them a better future and a second chance. The wonderful thing about second chances is that God gives them even when they are not deserved.
What I did question was there was a lot of scenes where she was talking about her dad, but it happened outside the page. There wasn't much actual interaction with her and her father written in the story.
Overall, I look forward to more from this author.

There were some memorable lines that blessed me:
"Sometimes, your job is to just trust God to show up."
"When we continue to find hope in the heartache, that's what draws us closer to Him."
"...the more you exercise your heart, the more it grows, giving you more opportunities for loving others."

Coming home means new beginnings and second chances.

Bella comes back to her hometown to find her bearings and make a new game plan, when disaster strikes at her family's diner. Her high school best friend and EMT Tucker Holland offers to help her fix up the place if she can help him out with childcare for his twins during his long shifts. Bella slips back into life in her hometown, bt not without a few bumps, I loved how passionate she is about her community and helping others. She is great with Tucker's kids, and I love how she bonds with them quickly, they aren't perfect, which makes them all the more realistic and adorable.

Tucker is a really responsible guy with a lot of things on his place, he has a great relationship with his family and I loved how he is quick to lend a hand and wants to help others who have gone through what he did.

Overall, an engaging story of finding home, with amazing characters who are passionate about their hometown and their families. I loved how Tucker and Bella reconnect, and I liked how well developed everything was from the people in the community and backstory to the feel of the town. Compelling, and heartwarming, highly recommend.

I'm giving this book a 2 because it wasn't TOO terrible and I've read way worse Love Inspired books, but it wasn't super great.

I found Bella to be very annoying and she created problems out of thin air (example: she kept saying she didn't want to be a "stand-in" for Tucker's dead wife, but Tucker NEVER said that loving her would be a problem). Bella whined about her mother that ran out on her, cried for her illustrious chef job back from this big wig Justin but then didn't except it when he offered it back, and she was all over the place, honestly. What was with her walking out on the beautiful dinner that Tucker'd prepared for her... and then using his meal plan for the food competition ?? THEIF! HAHAHAHA!

Tucker was the perfect gentleman and had some great, romantic lines!!! He was under appreciated.

Bella's dad Joe was annoying, grumpy for no reason (he was stressing and he had diabetes, but still, he was usually rude to Bella and to Tucker), and annoying to read about.

The romance was lacking and the plot was thin, but it's okay! I know to expect that 9 out of 10 times with Love Inspired books.
Well, another book down. :)

" A Love Redeemed" by Lisa Jordan, book review

Isabella is home. She keeps telling herself that it is just long enough to get her father's diner remodeled and running again. But who is she fooling? She was fired. And this is all she has now.

She runs into Tucker, her childhood friend and teenage crush. He seems to be doing well, having married his college sweetheart, has cute kids and a good career. Of course, he is grieving the tragic death of his wife, but he is still in love with her.

Isabella and Tucker have a business agreement: she watches the kids while her works...he will help with the remodel of the diner. This just works for both of them, until they begin to explore some deeper emotions.

I enjoyed this book. While it explores some sad emotions of loss, it is done in a way that there is always hope.

Will these old friends find an unexpected spark?

Over the years I've read a lot of the Love Inspired Suspense books but not as many of the regular Love Inspired titles and it's because of books like A Love Redeemed that I'm slowly changing that. I enjoyed this fun and heart-tugging read from Lisa Jordan.

Nothing seems to be going right for our heroine and life has seemed to just spin out of control, a sentiment that I, and I think most people, can easily relate to. Her circumstances may be different but I think we've all felt that way a time or two.

As I said, I really enjoyed reading A Love Redeemed. I especially loved the old friends-to-lovers aspect to the romance. I also appreciated the faith message that Lisa Jordan wove throughout the story. All in all this book was an easy, though sometimes thought provoking, and quick read. Perfect for a quiet afternoon...

A lovely second chance story. Tucker and Isabella grew up in the same community. Isabella had a crush on him, but he married someone else. Her friend. Isabella left to pursue her career as a chef. But something happens that costs her job and Isabella went home to help her father with his diner. While she was gone, Tucker's wife died and left him with two small children. The second story in the Holland Family series drew me in to the end.

This was a lovely story. "What would it take for him to convince Isabella she was an original, the lead in her own story?
And was he truly ready to take that next step? To be the one to show her she wasn’t anyone’s stand-in? Especially his late wife’s?
For the first time in years, he felt something he wasn’t sure he’d feel again.
Hope.
And he wanted to hold on to it as long as he could."

This is my first Lisa Jordan book and I loved it. I really liked Tucker and Bella and just realized there are more stories with them in it. I also love how Ms. Jordan weaves God’s love and His messages into the story. I will definitely try another one.

This story was so heartwarming. And to include a child who needs love. So good. The plot was excellent. The characters were well-rounded. The authors voice was gentle, firm, and uplifting. This is an excellent read!

I loved the family in this book. The love, support and strength of family are some of the most important things God gives us and this book had oodles of it.
