New arrivals at Hedgehog Hollow is the sequel to Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow. It is better read the books in order, but if you haven't read the first one, don't worry: Jessica provided a very helpful summary and list of recurring characters at the beginning of the book and made me feel at home straightaway.

Samantha/ Sammie finaly opens The Hedhog Hollow Rescue Center, and immediately has her work cut out for her with new patients brought in or left out on her doorstep. She is still recoveri
Charm, and forgiveness, and hedgehogs... oh my! This is the second book in Jessica Redland’s’s Hedgehog Hollow series. This book can certainly be read as a standalone, Jessica does a great job of catching you up with characters from the previous books. But I’m pretty certain after you have read this you’ll wish you’d read the first. The book picks up with Samantha recovering from being in a coma after being injured in a fire in the previous book. The hedgehog rescue is now officially open and th ...more

I loved the first book of this series and Redland continues with another corker of a read. Although I only recently read the other novel, I did appreciate the character list and a brief summary of what happened previously – a thoughtful touch and helpful if you haven’t had the chance to encounter the first story.

This book carries on just a few weeks on from where the last story concluded. Differently, the narrative switches between Samantha and Josh’s perspective, reflecting how important he is

This was a lovely follow on book to read. It picked up where the last one finished which was great and it looks like there will be another one after this, can’t wait!!!! I really enjoyed this “feels good” book, it had its ups and downs as with life in general and at times I felt the main character Sam had so much going wrong for her if made me sad. But, whether it turns out alright for her we will have to wait for book three. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunit ...more

One of my beautiful reads of this year, the sequel to Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow, where I got to see the lives of Samantha and Josh as they started a new chapter of rescuing hedgehogs and helping people.

This was not a romantic book, but a story about relationships and the way the couple found their way of binding their family with forgiveness and love. The author, with the power of her words, showed how easy it would have been to let go of people and how rewarding it was when we didn’t.

Absolutely delightful read, full of fun, love, family, great characters and just a fabulous story. I love Jessica’s writing, her stories always cheer me up and are perfect escapism. If you want a guaranteed smile and happiness, like a hug in book form , pick this book up you won’t be disappointed

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

This is the second book in the series and is a brilliant follow on to Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow.

Samantha is the owner of Hedgehog Hollow a rescue centre for hedgehogs. She thinks she can manage both the rescue centre and working full time at the local university until the amount of hoglet’s increases and she finds it difficult to manage both. She doesn’t want to let anyone down but with support from her boyfriend Josh and both their fami

I am so delighted to have found a new favourite series.
Samantha was left the hedgehog sanctuary to set up in memory of her new found friend Thomas and his late wife. She's worked so hard and met some little characters. Her romance with Josh, after an initial frosty start is flourishing but there are some disturbing events at the rescue centre.
The difficult relationships between various characters is explored more with surprising developments. I love Sam's dad- he's such a loving dependable man,

In the previous book, Samantha inherited the farm at Hedgehog Hollow, along with funds to establish it as a hedgehog rescue center. Her veterinarian boyfriend, Josh, is a major support, and although not officially moved in yet, is in fact spending most nights at Hedgehog Hollow. Samantha is enjoying her new work, and in many ways, things are going very well.

Unfortunately, the rescue center also has enemies, and Samantha is, at the start of this book, just recovered from serious injuries received
Samantha (Sam) Wishaw is the proud owner of Hedgehog Hollow, a hedgehog rescue centre located in the Yorkshire Wolds. As well as managing the rescue centre which is tremendously busy with a new influx of hedgehogs and hoglets, Sam also believes she can continue with her full-time job at the local university, but juggling both is proving tough though she has her boyfriend, Josh, willing to lend a hand. However, life for Josh is not proving to be plain sailing either and he has a few issues of his ...more

Thank you #NetGalley #BoldWoodBooks @BoldWoodBooks for my complimentary copy of #NewArrivalsAtHedgehogHollow by Jessica Redland at my request. All opinions are my own.

New Arrivals at Hedgehog Hollow is book #2 in the Hedgehog Hollow series. It can be read as a stand-alone but will be a richer reading experience if you’ve read Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow first.

Samantha is the founder and owner of the Hedgehog Hollow Rescue Center. Although she has the support of her boyfriend, Josh, and her f

Hedgehog Hollow is up and running and wow there are hedgehogs,. If I thought there were hedgehogs in the previous book, then that is nothing compared with this one. They all sounded so cute, and I loved seeing Sammie and Josh taking care of them all, and I think I have learnt a lot about them too.

Hoglets are a lot of work, more so than human babies, but without a rescue, if their mum isn't about then they stand no chance at all, and even if you do try to rescue them the survival rate still isn'

I love all Jessica Redland's books and this was another winner.

I was happy to go back to Hedgehog Hollow where Samantha (Sam) has the hedgehog rescue up and running. She never expected that she would have so many residents in such a short time. Still getting over her recent hospital stay, working full-time, and trying to run the rescue, she is finding it all a bit much. They are also still dealing with vandalism, even though the culprits that almost destroyed the rescue in the last book have be

A fabulous cover for a fabulous read!

I totally adore this series, they just get better.

Samantha now has the Hedgehog rescue centre up and running whilst still juggling a full time job and someone is still set out to destroy Hedgehog Hollow.

Herself and Josh are now in love and we find out more about Josh's family and the estranged relationship with his father Paul.

I love the way the chapters flowed between the POV from Samantha and Josh and with the cute Hedgehogs.

Do try and read the first book, Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow, before you try this one – although I think it would probably work just fine as a standalone (although, with a bit of a cliffhanger, you’ll definitely want to read the next one as much as I do!), but I do think you’d love it even more if you knew the background to the setting up of Hedgehog Hollow, had met the wonderful Thomas, seen how Samantha and Josh’s lovely romance began, and understood a little more about their relationships ...more

The story picks up where Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow ended and you get to see what happens next in Sam's life. At the outset, she seems to have everything she wants and needs but she soon comes to realise just how big a task she has taken on with the rescue shelter. However, she is determined to find a way through. All the ingredients of its predecessor are there, including the troubled family relationships and complicated family lives. There are some surprising developments in those and yo ...more

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for offering this book for an honest review.
This is the Sequel to Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow, which I didn’t know when I first began. There are many complex relationships in this series and it is probably best to start with Book 1 for maximum enjoyment. But Redland provided a great summary and character list at the beginning of the story so it only took me a quick little bit to get caught up and understand who all the characters are.

We begin as we ended...and grow to so much more.

No time has truly passed since we said goodbye to our new found friends from Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow, and we're all the better for it! Sam and Josh are getting the grand opening underway with the help of the community that had embraced them...but that doesn't mean everything will be a bed of roses minus the thorns. In fact, they are in for some severe growing pains both personally and professionally as the charity comes under attack, family

Samantha's hedgehog rescue centre is going from strength to strength - it's demanding, emotional work and she has help from partner Josh, and her dad. Life in blissful Hedgehog Hollow makes her happier than she could have ever dreamed... until a frightening campaign is led against it. And then there's the ongoing tensions between her and cousin Chloe... and will Josh finally reconcile with the father who betrayed him?

Oh, how I loved this second book in the Hedgehog Hollow series. Redland writes

I easily jumped straight back into the plot and characters of Hedgehog Hollow. Family dynamics are unpicked and put back together again, and some hedgehogs are saved and the ending may lead to another book. If you are looking for a heartwarming and uplifting read, pick up this series.

Readers should note this novel follows on from Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow (which was also one of my top reads from 2020). Some might say you don’t need to read that story to enjoy this one. That’s true, BUT, I pity the hard heart that does not fall in love with our heroine, Sam, in the first book. I think to really appreciate the beauty of New Arrivals, you should read Finding Love first!

This novel is very much about Samantha and her continued journey towards fulfilling her potential both p

Jessica Redland returns with a fantastic new novel that is simply delightful: New Arrivals at Hedgehog Hollow. Uplifting, heartwarming and wonderfully romantic, settle down in a comfy chair and get ready to lose yourself in this immensely enjoyable tale.

As the owner of the rescue centre Hedgehog Hollow, Samantha has certainly got a lot on her plate – and she simply couldn’t be happier. Everything seems to be finally coming together for Samantha. All of her dreams have come true, the centre is th

I have been a fan of Jessica’s work for a little while now. I haven’t quite caught up with everything that she has written but I am getting there. I read the synopsis for ‘New Arrivals At Hedgehog Hollows’ and it certainly sounded like Jessica had another winner on her hands. I eagerly started reading and to say that I enjoyed this book is a massive understatement. I ADORED reading ‘New Arrivals At Hedgehog Hollow’ but more about that in a bit.

Do you love all thing cuddly and cute?

Do you gush at the sight of baby animals?

Throw in all that and some gorgeous love stories and that would make up 75% of the beauty Jessica brings you. The other 25% I will leave for you to discover as a reviewer never gives away a full story. Now the book is set in a gorgeous country farm that has now been refurbished as a hedgehog sanctuary by our main character Sammie and her partner Josh, a qualified vet. These two are adorable together. You will invest i

In this book we return to Hedgehog Hollow on the day of the grand opening of the Hedgehog Rescue Centre. This is a huge day for Samantha and one she thought would never happen after all of the problems she had had in the last few months.
Running the rescue centre is something Samantha never thought she would find herself doing but she has loved every minute so far and is looking forward to running the centre. She has a great amount of support around her especially from her boyfriend Josh.

Who doesn't love a hedgehog?!🌄

This is a sweet though heavy emotionally second story in the Hedgehog Hollow series. There's lots of positive energy in this book but both of the main characters, Samantha and Josh, have family issues to deal with as they establish themselves on the farm at Hedgehog Hollow. I would definitely classify this as women's fiction rather than a romance because this couple's strong, loving link permeates the story but is more a constant while they deal with other

This was my first trip to Hedgehog Hollow but not my first Jessica Redland read. I enjoy her writing style and the way she packs so much into her stories. This was no exception.
The main focus is, of course, on Samantha and Josh. They have both been scarred by previous relationships, both familial as well as romantic.
The Hedgehog rescue supplies a whole host of supporting characters as new patients are brought for care and treatment. It was difficult to read the parts where not all rescued Hedgeh
Filled with family dramas, this is a real page turner and fantastic addition to this heartwarming series. The story is told from the alternating points of view of Samantha (aka Sam and Sammie) and her soul mate, Josh. They love and support each other but both have their own family dramas impinging on their lives now.

There are injured hedgehogs, orphaned hoglets and broken family relationships all in need of healing. With the help of supportive family and friends, the new rescue centre officially

I read this a while ago and have been sitting on the review for some time. I had a lot of fun with the author's original Whistborough series and binge-read them. The first book in the Hedgehog hollow, however, was not my thing. This second book is an improvement on the previous one in many ways.
The story is set around a hedgehog rescue that was set up in the first instalment. This book should not be read out of order, since it picks up immediately after it left off in the first. Hedgehog Hollow

I really enjoyed Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow, so I was thrilled to receive a review copy of this book.

It was a joy to return to the lovely characters and setting that I so enjoyed before. Samantha and Josh have such a lot thrown at them in this book, and there are so many emotional moments, but somehow it is written in a way that I can cope with (I normally avoid anything remotely emotional). I think it’s the fact that their love for each other remains steady, and they always support one ano
