A fun "Indiana Jones" or "Romancing The Stone" type adventure book from the early eighties. The Viking Cipher is a long-range forecast for world events. It seems to be almost 100% accurate. So much so that different groups want to own it. The creator of it was killed along with his wife, but the secret still alludes the evil forces. The son of the inventor is marked by former associates and the KGB. He dodges assassins from the Swiss Alps back To Florida.
The back of the book proclaims, "With the most sophisticated equipment." This being 1983, we get landline phones on modems. This will really take you back a bit. Hi-tech in its day, but laughably retro now. In a nice fun way, though
