Hey, Rojin!!!

Thank you so, so much! I'm kinda sorry for your book slump, but not really. ;) PREY is on track to be published Jan. 8, 2021. It's longer than SANCTUM and there's a lot more happening ... including a lot more steamy scenes with Remy and Skye.

I intentionally kept the physical aspect of their romance light in SANCTUM because Skye had been through a lot and needed that space, which Remy was more than willing to give. But in PREY, things progress. A LOT. (Read into that what you will.)

Thanks again for reading!(less)

You know how sometimes the second book in a trilogy is considered the “slow” book? It’s one that backs up the first book and sets the stage for the third book, but over all, nothing major happens?

Yeah. PREY is NOT that kind of second book.

Make no mistake - it definitely builds on everything that happened in SANCTUM (Blackwater Pack #1) and the ending definitely sets the stage for what is sure to be an incredible finale in LEGACY (Blackwater Pack #3). But there is a lot that happens and a lot th

Prey Review on K-Books

“Skye, you’re the strongest person I’ve ever met. If you need my support you have it. Always, I love you and I’ll be with you every step of the way. But your strength is your own.”

There were no words to explain just how excited I was to get my hands on Prey. I’ve never been a big lover of wolf shifter books but then I read Sanctum and fell head over heels in love with this story and Hannah’s writing and honestly, I’m just utterly obsessed. I couldn’t wait to get my hand

Absolutely nothing interesting happened until the 80% mark. Nothing.

The heroine was still being coddled by the pack. The hero was there doing some unknown hero thing. It was just meh. It wasn't as interesting as I hope it would be, as the ending of the last book promised.

Give me more than an explosion, dear author. Something that would change these people's world.

Hannah McBride once again managed to shatter me into a million jagged and broke little pieces then slowly and methodically stitched it back together. With every small and large gesture from Remy, Katy, Larkin, Tate, Dante, Luke, Gabe, Mallory, Daniel, Dimitri and the rest of the gang! Hannah manages to put words together in the most beautiful way to inflict the most feels possible.

Prey is book 2 in the Blackwater pack series and continues the story of Skye Markham. An Omeg

From the moment that I met Skye, I loved her. She is a survivor. Strong and determine, she just makes me so proud. Then there is Remy. Oh Remy. True north. He is one of my very favorite book boyfriends. And he is perfect for Skye.

Yes, these characters are amazing. They are real to me. Friends that I can't wait to catch up with. And boy do I want to catch-up with them after I finished Prey. I need more. More Skye and Remy. More Lark and Rhodes. More Tate, Dante and Ryder (yes 3). More of so many

Okay.. I don't think I've ever taken so many breaks in one book and in the best way possible.. Seriously though.. It was an emotional roller coaster this book was..There's a very small time jump between Sanctum and Prey and so many questions from Sanctum were answered in this but there were just as many if not more questions raised in here.. Skye was as strong as ever and in one particular scene there were tears streaming down my face without me even realizing so in awe with her fierceness and b ...more

This book is absolutely incredible! I waited to read it until I had time off work because I knew that I wouldn’t want to stop reading once I started. And oh boy, was I right. I sat down and read this book in one day. Now I did take breaks because there were times when I just had to put the book down and sit there for a few minutes because I was cussing so much. Have you ever actually yelled at a book? If not, be prepared, because you probably will with this one.

This book was brilliant, as was Sanctum, but I am SO not okay now. I devoured Prey in one day because I was entirely unable to put the book down. Now I suffer from a major book hangover. But I am super glad I found this series and am looking forward to the release of Legacy. (In fact, to placate my frayed nerves, I might have to reread and reread this book until then.)

I still can't believe that this is Hannah McBrides second release. I love these books so much. Prey was even better than Sanctum, and I absolutely loved the first book!

The story jumps right back into where things left off in Sanctum. I really loved where the author took the story in this book. There are hints of where the story is leading, but there were some things that I did not see coming.

Prey definitely manages to get your emotions going. The tension and action ratchets up a bit in book tw

This is probably my fav book(so far) from this series and I'm so excited everyone else gets to enjoy it as much as me!

Prey Picks up a few weeks after where Sanctum left off and a few weeks where the companion novella Broken left off as well and Skye has finally started to settle into her new life with friends, new family and her mate, Remy.
Everything is perfect, the gang is back at GPA the sun is shinning, she's in love and experiencing things she never though she would..... until female shift

I've been working on this for a month. But every time I sit down to write it, my mind wanders back to the book... and then it explodes again. Trust me it's impossible to write a review with an exploded brain!

First I have to warn interested readers that this series contains scenes of abuse. Some of the scenes are very graphic and your heart will break. The trigger warning is there for a reason.

This is the first review where I have make sure not to spoil it for anyone. It's like physically hurti

Prey. Oh my God!! If I thought the first book was good, this second book was actually better. Let`s talk first about Remy and Skye like I`m really jealous about them, I really want what they have, the author did such a good job with them, they are super dreamy, they make us fall in love, they show us that with the right person you can overcome anything, you can defeat your monsters!

The development of the characters in this second book is really good. We see more of some characters that we didn`

Okay so... PREY... this Book, holly molly... IS AMAZING! I couldn’t stop reading. Prey is the second book of Blackwater Pack and we continue knowing about Skye and Remy’s story.

I was so excited to read this book and to know more about the situations surrounding my favorite and cute couple.
I’m super surprised about this book because is nothing to what I excepted but is ALL I wanted and need (if that even makes sense). Skye is this super strong girl that keeps growing and keeps having this amazi

Just as good as the first book. For the shifter novel, it's very well written. However I did think that this novel didn't have to be this long. There was a lot of filler and the crisis was dragged out a lot, I felt very troubled for almost the whole read, basically I was feeling as nervous as the characters were. But thats the only minus I found, other than that it was a good read! Can't wait for the sequel! ...more

Honestly this has been one of my favorite new paranormal series. I love Remy and Skype so much. Larkin, Rhodes and all the other amazing characters add to the brilliant story the author has created. Sanctum was the first book that made me love these characters but then there was broken the novella for Larkin and Rhodes and they made my love grow deeper but honestly this book just left me anxiously awaiting the next book in this amazing series. I don’t even know where to start about this book…don’t get me wrong it was super amazing, but my emotions are still all over the place!
Ok lets start with the end….WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?!?!?! I am still freaking out about that end, in the last like two chapters you get some answers, some major answers and you still are trying to cope with what Skye has discovered when something huge happens that leaves you scared to shit!!!! And then you have a few more answers that are a like bomb being dro

I am not okay. I AM NOT OKAY. I need the next book so bad I might cry, rage and/or send a million audio notes to my friends so that they read this book and suffer with me.

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! I loved the first one and Hannah McBride took everything I loved from book one and doubled it in this one.

Skye is so badass and strong and smart and I just want to be friends with her. and Remy. Oh Remy. this sweet, patient, hot, swoony, amazing man who loves her so fiercely. I can't. I simply CANNOT deal

Hannah McBride has done it again.

When I found SANCTUM I went into it with no expectations and was so incredibly pleased, but that meant that when I opened PREY I had expectation... and they were met.

This series tackles sexual abuse and violence in a very mature way in that it is not a side thought but discussed, explored, and explained on how it still effected the protagonist. In addition, she shows how positive friendships can respond to someone with PTS and it really shows the beauty of unco

TW: sexual assault, abuse

I absolutely love this series. Hanna McBride is an incredible author, and I cannot even fathom that this is only the 3rd book she has ever written. She creates beautifully complex characters that you can't help but love, and I found myself experiencing all of the emotional highs and lows along with Skye throughout this book. Prey (and Sanctum) also tackle some incredibly sensitive subject material, including sexual assault, abuse, and PTSD, and do so in a way that emphas

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I really can't believe that this is the authors debut series. I get sucked into this story 100% and find myself holding my breathe when tensions are running crazy high. Hannah is a phenomenal author who can really trap a reader into her stories, and I seriously cannot get enough!

I was very happy to be back with all the characters that we learned to love in Sanctum and Broken.

Okay freak out aside. I LOVED Sanctum and Prey did not disappoint at all, hell I'm even going to say it's 100x better than the first book. Yeah, it was that good. In Prey, we get to delve deeper into Skye and Remy's relationship and the plot thickens ~dun dun duun~

All I did the last half of this book was scream and and cry. The only thing besides gasps and cheers was also “Oh my f****** gawd!!” The first half was bit slower but it was a good insight into where both Remy and Skye were in this relationship and as people. Skye is still very much dealing and processing through everything she endured growing up. As set up in the first book of the series the issue of missing girls is still prevalent. While it is definitely ramping up in importance, I think that ...more

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Prey by Hanna McBride. Prey picks up where Sanctum left off. From the first page I was sucked right back into the BlackWater pack. In Prey not only are Remy, and Skye dealing with the fall out from Sanctum, but several female shifters have gone missing. On top of everything else Skye's past is coming back to haunt her, and she once again finds herself in the fight for her life. Skye really comes into her own in this book. I was sooo excited to get my hands on this book after reading Sanctum and Broken and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

I love Hannah’s style of writing - it sucks me in from the first word and I struggled to put it down. You’ll need to clear your diary as you’ll want to devour this book in one sitting.

Skye is a really refreshing and relatable heroine - kick ass, smart, loyal and likeable. It was great seeing how her character grew in this book as she faced her demons head-on to defend her family

Hannah’s writing is so amazing . I already wanna reread this book. I loved Skye and Remy. They have definitely become one of my favorite couples next to Luc and Evie from the origin series . Wow! Hannah McBride outdid herself with that ending. I thought I knew where the story was going and then I was left sitting there like one of those brain explosion gifs. I love that we get more BP. I love the character growth. I love that we get more of the backstory. I love how brave Skye is in this book as she shares her story. I tried to read this book slowly, so I could really enjoy and savor the book and to make it last as long as I could. That did not happen I devoured the book just as I had with the 1st book and the novella and loved it. Hannah McBride has out done herself if that is even possible. I enjoyed seeing more Skye and Remy as well as the rest of the pack. There are lots events that happen that makes you want to read more. Great book to start the New Year with. I am looking forward to read the next book.
