Ah, Helen and Aodhagan, what more can I say? Love these two!
It has humor, and romance, and lots of nasty people who keep you getting until the end.

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.
This is a new series to me and I was glad that I didn't need to read the books in order to know what was going on although I now want to go back and read book one. Helen is not comfortable living in Birdwell, Texas - no one locks their doors, they walk into your house without knocking, they know everything about you. She can't wait to sell her house and leave this tiny town. The owner of an appliance company and his entourage are in town to look a ...more

I loved this book. A super fun mystery with a terrific story that doesn't necessitate the first book being read first. This story is set in the small town of Birdwell complete with the small-town atmosphere of no locked doors and everyone knowing everyone else's business and of course the requisite great quirky characters. Mix together a certain page-turner with twists and turns, and a good mystery that is well told and you end up with a must-read mystery that is sure to satisfy any cozy mystery

After impatiently waiting to hear more about what was happening in Birdwell, Texas, I was thrilled to read the second book of adventures and murder in that tiny town! And oh my, what an adventure! Good news for the tiny population of Birdwell! A new factory is being built with desperately needed jobs! Helen has a chance to sell her newly built home (although an unappealing decision due to who wants to buy it!) So many details come out about Aodhagen's past that explain so much. And many fun thin

Book 2 in the Birdwell series was as good as the first! Helen is living in the house that she has had built to sell for charity. While having a meeting, she is bombarded by a group of strangers entering the house, with one of the women announcing that she’d take it (meaning the house). It appears that the group is part of Crowe Appliances and they are planning to build a plant in Birdswell which is greatly needed to help out the town. As Aodhagen (volunteer sheriff and potential love interest) a

A group of staff and family of Crowe Appliances turn up in Birdwell, looking at buying Helen's house, and opening a factory in town, which will bring many jobs for locals. Unfortunately, the owner of Crowe is soon found dead, in Aodhagan's car, no less.
Aodhagan and Helen look into the death themselves, as state police also investigate, but the number of people with motive, and the skills to pull off this murder, is quite large.

I loved this book with a great cast of characters and a twisty mystery that quickly became a page-turner with lots of suspects that kept me glued to the book from start to finish. I love the citizens of Birdwell, Texas and feel like I know Helen Harding, true crime author as she works with her best friend Aodhagan MacFarley, mayor and sheriff to solve the murder of the owner of Crowe Appliances who comes to town looking to build a factory and ends up dead in Aodhagan's classic convertible. Don't

All My Exes Live in Texas kept me well entertained, Some of the Crowe crew characters were just so over the top that I found myself giggling despite the murder! Aodhagan and Helen are my new favorite sleuths. I really like his laid back approach to crime solving. With a lot of witty dialogue, far too many suspects with several possible motives, I was kept guessing! I could not put the book down!
