Cute book, full of handy dandy tips. I think this would make a great gift for any new cat owner. Also recommended for older kids or teens who want a new pet, and would like to learn what their new responsibilities would be.
The library had an "end-cap" (for a lack of better termage) all about cats the other day when I ran in to pick up some books I had on reserve. This one looked cute and interesting so I checked it out. It was fun to read! I learned some stuff I didn't know before, and sometimes it made me feel like a bad pet parent because I wasn't practicing some of these good practices. But now I'm equip with some extra knowledge for the future.
The book was a very quick, easy read with relevant, useful information. So if you want an easy pet-care book that isn't daunting, this is a good one!
Ok yes, roll your eyes. I adopted a kitten and so I had to read a book about it. I'm not a first time cat owner but I'm really glad I read this. It's got great tips on bonding with your kitten/cat and lots of ideas as to explaining some of the behavior you'll see. It's even got some recipes I'm looking forward to trying out - cooking for your kitten!
I learned so much from this book, although I'm still figuring how to create more bond to my very shy cat who is previously a stray cat that may has a lot of past trauma with humans.
