If any of my over-protective brothers ask, I’m pregnant via immaculate conception. Otherwise, the baby I’m carrying could be the death of one hot billionaire…

After a succession of relationships bad enough to set a Guinness World Record, running into a ruggedly handsome billionaire feels like a sign. Edgar is from out of town, mesmerizing, and his voice reminds me of Lou

This book just didn't work for me and it was probably my own fault. I was just looking for an easy read, baby daddy drama maybe, and some romance. But the whole blackmail plot from Jo's ex just had me rolling my eyes and left me wanting Jo to stand up for herself a little more. The entire thing felt really weird since she didn't seem too upset that her ex was blackmailing her, almost gave in to marriage at one point, and I just didn't see a ton of true emotions from her about it. And then there ...more

Engaging and funny, the premise of this story wasn’t my favourite but it featured likable characters that made you want to root for a HEA. I liked seeing all the characters from previous books and having their HEAs woven into this story.

I skimmed the intimate scenes but the author made this more than just that. I appreciated that neither MC seemed too “about-town”. Other than Court, it seemed like at least their horrible parents raised boys who didn’t treat women like tissues. It’s

I love Edgar and Jo. Their chemistry is scorching and their first meeting results in a night with very little sleep. About a month later, they realize it also resulted in a baby. Jo is a confident, fashionable manager of her own business. Edgar is the CEO of a powerful company in Louisiana and the eldest son of a prominent southern family. However, his family has a scandalous background and he carries a lot of baggage. Jo’s family, in contrast, is large, extended, boisterous, supportive, and lov ...more

Soapy fun

With so much drama that you'll think you're watching a soap opera, this light, fun romance has humor and heart. I always look forward to this author's easy, sexy rom coms, and that's exactly what this is. It starts with the steam, then transitions into a drama-filled but low angst read. I loved our stoic, serious hero and his unwavering support and loyalty. While it was lacking in the "romance" department for me overall - these two seriously needed to have a conversation - it was an enj

I'm sorry but where was the love? where was the romance? what was this? how are these people together?

These characters know next to nothing about each other.
They don't talk to each other nor make serious attempts to get to know one another.

Both of them are dealing with some some serious things in their lives and now have a baby on the way and yet they don't really talk to each other about the things going on with them.

Edgar wants to marry Jo but doesn't believe in love and also he doesn't te

Loved, loved, loved Jo and Edgar's story.

This story picks up after Faking It With the Frenemy but you don't have to read that to enjoy this story (although I do recommend it). It follows Josephine "Jo" Martinez and Edgar Blackwood and from the very beginning their relationship is on fire.

Jo loves making her living as a fashion consultant/personal shopper. The people she meets and gets to dress are some of the rich and famous. She loves her family and longs for the type of eventual marriage her p

When Jo marries, she wants what her parents have-a real relationship that stands the test of time where love endures all obstacles and shines. She does not want a contract for the sake of the baby. She does not want a love less marriage. She wants the whole blasted mess! She wants the man with sexy voice who makes mad passionate love to her, who can take on her brothers, who understands her zeal for fashion and her need for independence. She does not want a man who feels he owes her marriage bec ...more

An exceptionally complicated modern romance. The parental unit’s love model was the final frontier in this couple’s path. Edgar’s parents model dysfunction and Jo’s parents model childhood sweethearts that never part. Chemistry check, professional accomplishment check, adored by friends and family check. These beloved supporting characters from previous books rock this stand alone as a modern chick who is morally liberal but socially conservative. The hero appears conservative on all fronts but ...more

Marrying My Billionaire Hookup picked up from the ending of Faking It With the Frenemy, & completely stole my heart. I enjoyed Jo & Edgar's story immensely.

You can't not like, then fall for, Edgar Blackwood. He has a closed-off, tightly buttoned-up exterior, but as you read and see it for what it truly is - a facade, a shield - you can't help but want to shower him with hugs and kisses. He finds it hard to open up to love because he's never had it from the people who should have given it to him

Jo and Edgar are simply awesome.

Jo comes from a big family with lots of male cousins and brothers who give new meaning to the word over protective. She also has questionable taste in men and gets bared easily usually before the four month mark. All she really wants is her successful carrier and a marriage full of love like her parents.

Edgar is the eldest and wears that responsibility as well as he wears his $15,00 suits. He really didn't have the best example of love to follow from his parents

I am really enjoying this series from Nadia Lee!

This is Edgar and Jo's story of what happens when one night together results in something - or rather someone - they didn't expect. Things get complicated quickly. She is looking for true love like she's seen in her parents' relationship. He doesn't believe in it.

Edgar and Jo may be my favorite couples in the series. They have a lot of chemistry and I the author did a nice job bringing these opposites together. There's drama, humor, and, of course

Another great story. Edger and Jo story was different from his brothers Tony and Court . I like that all the story Intertwined Together. You read one and You learn about the previous stories too . I wish the mom got more of a punishment than slap on the rest. The dad is an idiot and he lost all his kids because of it . I am glad that Edger is out of his dads clutches and away from his evil mom. He need jo to show him how to love and be loved . Can’t wait to see the next story .

I really hated the caricatures of the Hispanic characters. This author should leave cultures she is unfamiliar with alone . This is supposed to be idiotic and lighthearted but the depiction of POCs was a big no

I have been anxiously awaiting this book ever since reading Faking it With the Frenemy. It was so worth the wait. I loved Jo and Edgar’s story, and I’m happy all the Blackwood sons got their HEA. I hate to see their story end, but I’m hoping that when Yuna gets her story we’ll get glimpses into the Blackwood brothers’ lives again.

First let me say, although this is a stand alone, there are many characters that appear in the previous works of this author. So do what I did, get a list and start at the beginning 😁.

Loved getting to learn more about these 2 characters that have only had supporting roles thus far. This book made me fall more in love with many Characters and despise some even more ... hello Blackwood parents, yuck! Edgar and Jo bring out the best in eachother and it made my heart happy to fall in love right alon

Edgar Blackwood is now the remaining Blackwood brother & son to find love. His leading lady is no other than our favorite fashion consultant & stylist Jo Martinez. Let’s just say the couple’s initial introduction at Yuna’s Party at Anthony & Ivy’s opulent home marks the start of a complex journey to HEA. I will try to keep this spoiler-free, but there are a few that caught my attention. First on the list is Jo. Readers of previous books mostly know Jo as the in-demand Fashion Consultant and wit ...more

A broken family. A family that loves unconditionally. A man that doesn’t believe in love, and a woman that wants nothing but the LOVE she deserves.

After reading Tony and Courts love stories, it was time to read about the eldest Blackwood brother Edgar. Edgar, as viewed in previous Nadia Lee books- is the serious, responsible, broody son that does what he believes is right. He works for the family company and is a very dependable man that believes in everyone’s potential (regardless of gender). W

Just when I thought I had Nadia Lee nailed as an author, she throws me a curveball I never saw coming. MARRYING MY BILLIONAIRE HOOKUP, the latest rom-con from Ms. Lee, contains a fresh, new take on an old romance trope: accidental pregnancy.

Edgar Blackwood is well known to those of us who’ve read SINS, SECRETS, MERCY, and STEALING THE BRIDE; he’s Anthony and Court Blackwood’s oldest brother. But this book is a stand-alone, and you don’t need to have read those books

MARRYING MY BILLIONAIRE HOOKUP by Nadia Lee is romcom gold! This is Edgar and Jo's story. These are two characters who , previously, were only secondary characters in past books yet star front and center now. It's great seeing them as main characters and getting to learn more about them. Edgar is viewed as this super responsible, emotionless, and staid man. Well, that's not really the case. You really need to read this book! Jo is this sassy , loving, emotional person who wants the kind of relat ...more

Ms. Lee has done it again! Sizzlicious fab read with family, friends, and questions about true love

Marrying My Billionaire Hookup is another terrific book that can be read as a standalone, but brings in familiar characters from her other books and advances (in the most wonderful way) the Blackwood family story.

Jo and Edgar hookup unexpectedly at an LA party and never expect to see each other again after she sneaks out ... sans stilettos!

When she discovers she’s preggers from the hookup, her cous

Obviously, in missing something here. There were a couple of moments when Edgar (do people still name kids Edgar?) showed some personality and emotion. I liked him then, but for the most part, he had no personality. Completely deadpan.

Jo, I didn't particularly care for. She was supposed to be this really successful person with wealthy clients, yet she was going to cave in to her sleazy ex's blackmail. Really? She could run a business, but couldn't find a way out of that mess.

I also couldn't unde

My Favourite Blackwood brother!
Edgar, the oldest of the Blackwood men is a large man - shoulders as wide as a door to carry the responsibilities and guilt of their dysfunctional family. It is no small wonder that he is captivated with Jo Martinez; she who has a huge loving, supportive family that draws and intimidates Edgar equally. “All my money. All my influence. All my control. They should’ve been enough to put me in charge of my life. But instead, what I have is a mess I can’t seem to figure

Wow, Nadia Lee does it again with “Marrying My Billionaire Hookup”. Each time I read a new book from Nadia Lee I wonder how it can be as good as any of her previous books. Amazingly enough it always is. I adore her books. I’ve loved reading all of the Blackwood sibling’s books along with all the others. I laughed so hard with Harry “Court”, but I will say Edgar is so amazingly charismatic and darkly dominant. Love the Alpha male of a family who is insanely hot and so amazingly loyal. Oh my goodness!! One of Ms. Lee's best creations!!

I just loved, loved this book! Couldn't get enough of this! I just loved both them so much!
The first time Edgar and Jo met, there was so much of chemistry that you could see sparks going off when they touched! Both Edgar and Jo are strong independent characters coming from different diverse backgrounds. Jo has not felt this way about someone for a long time. They come together one night and Jo does the shame walk next morning never expecting to s

I have been a fan of Nadia Lee for a long time and have read many of her books. This book is definitely one of my absolute favorites written by her. I hope some of her new fans go back and read backlist books as well. You will not be disappointed. Now on to my review 😉. Jo believes in love and happy ever after even if she hasn’t met her prince yet. After her steamy evening with Edgar she never expected to see him again, but fate has other ideas when she finds herself pregnant. She is willing to let him be a father to their child, but she isn’t about to enter into an arrangement that is more merger than marriage.

Edgar believes that the word love is just an excuse to explain bad behavior. He is determined to do what is best for his child but his heart will remain

I so loved Edgar and Jo's love story! Jo comes from a large Hispanic family that's always filled with love and laughter! Edgar is from the exact opposite! Edgar's company and family is in Temperance, Louisiana. Jo's company and family is in Los Angeles. You see where I'm going here. They are exact opposites, except their sexual chemistry, which could set the book on fire! But then Edgar's parents enter the picture, and really mess things up. What a cluster f^ck! I didn’t get the “FEELS” not one time while reading this book. The only feeling I got was annoyance. First of all, Edgar??? Ugh that name drive me nuts. Why?? Why pick that out of all the names you could pick. His character did nothing for me, he was written plain and blah. He had no personality whatsoever. There were several parts where I felt like what was written for him to be saying should have been for a woman. As for Jo, geez. Bad luck followed her everywhere. One too ...more

I’ve always been a huge fan of this author and this is just another reason why! The steam happens pretty quickly given the premise, but the love story is really well developed. You’ll continue to fall in love alongside and with Jo and Edgar! Hot love scenes, loved Jo’s family, and I especially loved the chapters written in Edgar’s POV. He definitely had his own voice and he wasn’t just another bossy alpha male. He’s up there as one of my favorite Lee heroes!
