For as long as anyone could remember, the Drakos family and Petrakis family have been at war. In recent years, after too much bloodshed and the death of Andreas Petrakis’s wife, both families decide to end the war with an arranged marriage. But after two failed arranged marriages, resulting in the death of Tatiana Petraki, all thoughts of peace have been stored away as the war between both families starts again. Pierce and Evelyn’s relationship is tested by their ambitions and what they are unwilling to lose—themselves. Evelyn doesn’t want to lose in this game of love by giving any more of her heart to Pierce, a man who is incapable of loving her. Pierce refuses to give anyone power over him, not even the only woman he has ever cared about.

First I want to say that this book had me stuck in bed reading all day. I didn't get anything done because I was so consumed by Pierce and Evelyn.
This is book 3 in the Drakos Mafia series and the most emotional. The first book is a traditional story of Aris and Mya who fall in love and get engaged. You get to see Aris and Mya live their happily ever after throughout the series. The 2nd book focuses on Pierce and Evelyn, it's definitely not a traditional love story. Evelyn falls in love with Pierce but Pierce is just obsessed with keeping Evelyn.
By the time we get to this 3rd book, the author continues Pierce and Evelyn's story, and Pierce is just as selfish and undeserving of Evelyn's love. The author does not take you on a redemption story but takes the time to develop these two people outside of their relationship. I really appreciated that Evelyn lived and enjoyed life outside of Pierce but was still naive to the world and people. She trusts and loves people with her whole heart and in the end that trusting spirit burns her. Pierce is arrogant and evil and remains that way until the very end. The author says the story is about both character's development but I honestly think the story is really about Evelyn. Pierce doesn't grow or change by the end of the book, he just comes to an obvious conclusion that a blind person can realize. I hope the next book on them focuses on Pierce because clearly he's broken.
Based on the author's endnote this is going to be a 10 book series that features multiple characters throughout this mafia universe. So if your a fan of the Sienna Mynx Italian mafia series this book series is similar. I will say that I like the heroines more in this series than the Italian series because these Black women really stand up for themselves and not as naive.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

Extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with this book. Firstly I waited to long time for the book, then I have to wait another book away from finding out what happened. I honestly loved these 2 characters but really not sure if I want wait for 3 books or 3 years at the rate this author writes to find out if they come together as they should have at the end of this book. The book was well written just lost interest when realised they were not going to evolve and be together and can't be bother to wait half a year find out they aren't going to be together anyway. Good luck if you have the patience and are willing go at the author's very slow pace.

Ummmm....
I cant remember being so disappointed with the ending of a book. It was such a long read for it to end like that. The third book should be just about them because this ending is so anticlimactic. Wow. Loved the last three books but this much drama in this book for it to end this way is a letdown

I’m OBSESSED! Can’t wait for E&P #3
I feel like doing crazy things to get Bee Daniels to give us the next Evelyn & Pierce Book! I’M OBSESSED! I don’t know if I’ve ever loved characters or a book so much. These 5 stars are well deserved. I usually never even write reviews, but I feel compelled to tell everyone how good this book is and shamelessly beg you for the next, haha. I read through this story in less than two days. Every page I was at the edge of my seat and now I’m rereading it because I just can’t get enough. I’ve really enjoyed Evelyn’s character development through out this story and I just want her to get the love from Pierce that she wants so bad! I’M ROOTING FOR THEIR HEA SO HARD! The way this book ended had me SHOOK! We were so close and then BOOM! I NEED book 3 for them. I need to see how Pierce figures out what really happened, I need to see how they rekindle, I need to see what happens to the Beast, and I would love a baby for them lol (preference is a boy/mini Pierce. Him and Rommy would be so cute). Bee you are a phenomenal writer. I was so impressed with the journey you took us on and by how you really made me connect with the characters. I also really loved how you included the side character POV to give us different angles and thoughts about what’s going on. Bee, I’m not trying to rush you, I would prefer that you take your time and give us the best story you can, but girl just keep us updated in the Facebook or mailing list so I don’t go crazy haha. I just really can’t sing your praises enough and I hope you’re doing well. You’ve really made a fan out of me.

You know a book is good when you think about the characters during the day when you're doing something else lol I kept saying to myself, "Poor Evelyn." I mean, I really felt bad for that girl. Pierce put her through it. Their "romance" is definitely not a traditional one. This book is filled with lots of action and hot love scenes. Pierce is not an easy man to understand and you kind of dislike him yet still root for him and Evelyn to be together. It's weird. But anyway, I deducted a star because I didn't like the ending and we are left with yet another cliffhanger. But make no mistake, this series is definitely juicy and worth reading. Highly recommended if you like mafia romance.

Wow!
I hate cliffhanger, ...but both books on Evelyn and Pierce are so good that I don't mind the wait.
I feel for Evelyn,how much a girl can take!? She is getting a beating left and right from people she loves, including her parents. Gee, I hope I don't have to wait too long for the conclusion,because I am dying here.
Pierce, finally started to grow,from the angry selfish,power hungry man-chlid... and to find out this... Wow!!
Well Evelyn hang in there,and you too Pierce ... You are a smart man, come on out the pieces together,sometimes things are not what they seem. And in your line of business,you should know. Smart up,man!!

Awesome read
I've been stalking Amazon looking for the release of this book and when I got the notification I was elated. I loved the development of Pierce and Evie. I loved she's her own boss with her own team. As much as Pierce is an asshole I always thought him being monogamous was a huge change for him. It didn't make him nicer but to me it showed he had feelings for Evie but like every woman out there she wanted more and she deserved it.
Leaving him wasn't an easy decision but coming back to fall for him again to have him beg her to stay had me falling for Pierce. I hated the downfall of his love but I look forward to seeing them together again. I have my own scenario in my head of how they'll get back together.
I'm still in love with Aris he's the absolutely sweetest bad ass of this bunch. I'm dying to know what will happen with the others in this series. I'm a sucker for happy endings but I'm ok with the way how this book ended. Hopefully the next book won't take as long to be released. Oh and I always felt like Mercer was sneaky something about him didn't connect for me.

Was well worth the wait!
I had just finished re-reading Prisoner for the hundredth time (still remains one of my favorite books of all time). I have been checking back regularly in Amazon anxiously waiting for the next installment of Pierce and Evelyn. And here it was! I stayed up to a crazy hour reading this book! Oh this was a painful read for me. Necessary for Evelyn’s growth but still painful because it totally wasn’t the ending I expected. Some small part of me wished I would have held off reading this book until the next book of their journey comes out. I wouldn’t have the break and need to wonder and wonder what comes next but I just couldn’t hold off reading this book for the life of me. Truthfully in this time of a unsettled world, it’s nice to escape and have some enjoyment in your day with a good book. Thank you Bee Daniels for these wonderful characters, great storytelling, and taking us along for the ride! All I ask is don’t make us wait too long for the next book :)

Fire 🔥
This book right here as part 3 to this sequel was fire... We waiting a while for this book but I have to say this author delivered for me I was so engrossed in this story line between Pierce and Evelyn, I did not know what to do with myself. I could not put the book down lost sense of time and space. The author in part 3 provided character development and growth for Evelyn which she needed and Piercr also showed grown and an awakening in terms of his feelings. Pierce is a very complicated character and very dark violent but its makes sense that with Evelyn she evokes things he has never felt or addressed so his growth and change would not stand out or be as apparent as Evelyn. I loved the pace she used to develop each character and I cannot wait to hear more about this couple right here....cause their is more..their story is not over they are not done. I am enjoying this series you have done it again girl....loved it

Wow this book took me on a ride. I didn’t expect things to end the way they did. I didn’t particularly like the ending but I understand why the author wrote it the way she did. It’s to set up for the next book. In the next novel for Pierce and Evelyn I really want to see some character growth for Pierce but I know it will take awhile. I feel really bad for Evelyn’s character. She’s been put through the ringer I hope she comes out stronger because of it. Overall I really enjoyed the book and I finished it quickly I can’t wait for the next one.

Love, love this book. While reading this book it played out like a movie in my head. Pierce and Evelyn are one of my favorite book couples. It makes sense that their story would be in multiple books. A love that intense and complex takes time to write. From beginning to end I was hooked. A summer must read. Ms. Daniels is one of my favorite authors. Looking forward to the other books in this series.

Stunning!!
When I started this series it was because I had finally found not only a new mafia family but a romance story so raw that I just knew it was going to be good. NIW what I got was unfinished business, Pierce and Evelyn have not finished telling their story.I get we need to tell the young dragons story,but you can't fade Pierce and Evelyn into the paint. This story was just really really good and I expect more from this family.

I actually enjoyed this book, but the author hasn't completed it yet. Tbh, I couldn't care less about Raelyn or Leonidas. I'm curious about what happens to Pierce and Evelyn. That cliff-hanger has left me with a lot of unanswered questions, like: how the hell will Pierce and Evelyn reunite? Does he marry into the Turkish mafia? Simply provide me with answers. I'm not sure why authors do this; is it some sort of kink to torture your readers?

I've read books 1-3 of this series. I believe these are the first books by Bee Daniels that I've read. And WOW I finished book 3 at 3:00am and immediately went online searching for book 4. I had a restless night trying to figure out how Evelyn can be rescued and what hell Pierce will cause before he realizes that he almost killed the only woman that he has ever loved. They both really need a HEA. I guess I'll be stalking Ms. Daniels until then. The series is a 5 Star must read

Omg!! This book was sooo freaking awesome!!! It was overwhelming, heartbreaking, just wow. Am very excited to read book 5 cuz I really need to read a HEA for Evelyn and Pierce .... they need it.

This was a dang good book. Pierce and Evelyn I love these characters. There was a lot of twists and turns and I loved every bit of it. I was sad to see what happened in the las few chapter but I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book with them!! Bye tell next book

I love love this book and am still also angry and sad about the ending am really looking forward to them getting back together and having their forever as they had promised each other. Am also invested in knowing the story of Gianni's and Ava and would love to see a reunion and them finally having their happy ending.

I enjoyed reading this book,but didn't know it was a continuing story instead of ending the story in this book. Pirece and Evelyn was off the chain in the relationship department.

I haven't read a mafia book this Great in a long time, however this book right here can I say is outright amazing and when I say it had you on the edge of you seat it sure did and then some. And don't get me started with the tears and all the yelling. I recommend if you read this book to start reading this entire series from start to finish.. this was one well written book ...Take A Bow Bee Daniels 👏 👌 🙌 👍

A true book
Wow, so much going on. Love the series. Evelyn and Pierce story is so much deeper than Aries and Mia. Pierce is so head Strong at times that makes him stupid. I he believes that she would do that to him, he really doesn't know her at all. And Evelyn, that girl need to take the blinders off and pay attention. Wow, so much going on. Love the series. Evelyn and Pierce story is so much deeper than Aries and Mia. Pierce is so head Strong at times that makes him stupid. I he believes that she would do that to him, he really doesn't know her at all. And Evelyn, that girl need to take the blinders off and pay attention. They have too much for there story and need to know if Pierce can figure it out. Plus what happened to Nikouls and his girl? Can't wait for the next book ☺.

I loved it and hated it
The book leaves off on a cliffhanger….again. I wouldn’t mind the cliffhangers if the author put more books out a year, and the series wasn’t stretched over ten books.
However, I have enjoyed this book the most out of all of them. I love Evelyn’s growth, and Pierce is starting to grow on me.

I love this series so much that I have re-read it again and again over the years. I often check to see if the Author has updated it and just today I saw that the fourth and seemingly final book in the series is out - and it has nothing to do with Evelyn and Pierce.
Firstly, I'm glad the Author is fine. Last update was since 2020 which was Covid period, so I was a bit worried about her wellbeing. Now that she has updated the series, I'm relieved. However....
Why isn't Pierce and Evelyn's story being concluded??? Why all the dragging? We waited over two years for a follow-up and now we have to wait longer?? And for what?!
Don't get me wrong. I adore Nikos. His character is mischievous and flirty but frankly it's not his story I - and I'm sure many fans - want to see just yet. I'm so disappointed.
Nevertheless, I will read the fourth book when It comes out. if only to get a glimpse of my beloved characters. But I'm honestly very disappointed

I did not like the ending. I won't go into details that will spoil it for those who haven't read it yet. I hope Bee Daniels will release the next book in this series soon. I am still waiting for the sequel to Pierce's and Evelyn's story and I am curious as to "how" Ms. Daniels will bring this couple back together. I have so many scenarios in my mind and the best one is I am hoping that she manages to escape Mercer. I have a feeling that the "fake Frenchman - really Greek" may be abusive to her especially in frustration because he cannot get her to love him. Her heart belongs to Pierce and always will. Plus, I am hoping that she is pregnant and manages somehow to escape to the States and has her child there. Many places for her to hide!

This Can’t Be The End Of There Story
This book had so many turns that it kept you interested. But what I find hard to believe is Aris who is the one to figure out the truth didn’t question about the tape. I mean he trusted Evelyn with his wife bachelorette party and he saw first hand how she was so innocent. Also the story mentioned how Pavlos was going to check on Mercer background but never really did. And his father to be a smart man he believed the story as well. What really got me was everyone forgot about the Beast. Definitely need to finish there story too many blanks in the story. I would have given a 5 star if the end at least let you know they found out Evelyn was innocent and they was coming after Mercer.

This is a very good read , it had me on the edge of my seat..very good writing..it made me want to read the series, can’t put it down..
The story line is good , it take you one place then made you wonder what going to happen next.. I stop reading when I was reading about Evelyn beening set up. But I couldn’t stay away. I had to pick it back up.now I have got to find out what going to happen to Evelyn in Paris.

4.5 I’ll begrudgingly admit that this book was written remarkably well. Despite the extremely frustrating ending (cliffhanger) and the length, the story held me.
I think I’ll wait for this series to finish before carrying on, I need to recover from that cliffhanger and the rollercoaster of emotions but I definitely recommend!
