Great western story. Very interesting, believable.

The characters you read about seem very real. The struggles, the animosity sometimes all wives together into a great book about a wagon train and a band of hopefuls heading to their dream destination. There is a fighting with the Cheyenne and occasionally with each other but I enjoyed it very much. Time frame is the late 1800's after the war of the northern aggression.

I found this book in a towering pile of books in my closet. I knew I'd loved it once and I'm trying to unhaul some books so I thought I'd read it and give it up.

I can't give it up. I love it all over again and I need this book in my collection.

I like a good western every so often and this one I really enjoyed. The characters in this book faced one obstacle after another, staying steadfast with their dreams and not giving up. I would highly recommend to others to read this book.

this book really grabbed me and I stayed up all night to read
not sure what is better to live with being attacked/scalped by Indians or terrorist attacks
