Plethora of information

This book is full of information. The author opens by discussing Python code, which is pretty easy to understand but good for a wide variety of uses. The author explains its uses, benefits and drawbacks very well. I followed everything he was saying. Then he moves on to C++, which is one of the most popular coding languages. As the authir states nearly every video game, lile World of Warcraft, uses C++ code. So, if you hope to be abgame designer then knowing this code will be a huge benefit. The author then moves to Linux which as he states.is an old code, but is constantly being updated to keep it current. So as the says it is for sure worth understanding. Then the last section is devoted to looking at hacking, why its done, how to stop it, etc. Overall, this book rrally covers a ton of ground in the area of computer programming.

Want to program?

This set of books takes you thru it all. One volume is all about the python language and why it's used as well as the basics of it. The next volume is how to access and make your conditional statements. Then we have some I go on the C++ language followed by the Linux language all easy to understand and follow. I recommend these to anyone wanting to brush up or start programming tofay.

Very informative

I took programming in college and this was a great little refresher/updater course. I learned and remembered quite a bit as I was going through it. Well written and fairly easy to understand.

Thorough

Lots of basic information on programming if you are just learning. Fairly easy to understand and not too technical—good for beginners.
