I am almost speechless

I have never really been a LitRPG fan, which at the root these books are, but... The Pivot Lab Chronicles are so much more. This one made me think, truly think about choice and allowing other people the freedom to make their own choices. It also made me cry, while cheering Dotty on.
Read this, I cannot stress enough how wonderful this book (trilogy) was!

OMG!!! This has become my favorite story Ever!,
Dottie's character is so strong in so many ways even though there are some weaknesses. Her battle both in and out of the Pivot pod give her a wonderful sense of character in her humanity. The bond she forms with the Pivot team and her friends inside the game, are loving and heartfelt, but most of all the bond she reinforces with her children is beautiful.
She made sure that her Cancer would not being her down, that she would live her life to the fullest (and boy did she) and that her friends and family knew they were loved. This is a real test jerker so make sure to have a lot of tissue by your side when you read this, fair warning.
What Jacob, Amber and Nick accomplished with their game is really enjoyable and amazing (took me back to Chronicles of Kierafreya) Can't wait for the next installment.

Great Read, but Proceed with Caution

What an amazing story. The concept of using Virtual Reality for medical treatment blows me away. If even 5% of the benefits of VR are possible it really needs to be looked into. I do not think I have ever had a book push my emotions as hard as this one did. The storyline hit closer home than most as I lost my father to cancer last year. I am very lucky that I was close to him and we had the opportunity to say all we felt. Watching my Dad suffer in his final days still hurts beyond words.
This story brought back a lot of the good memories and some of the sad.
Thank you Micheal Anderle foe giving me another amazing world with brilliant characters

This was a very well done tale, and the ending was absolutely amazing. If you aren't moved by the way it ended, then your heart is made of stone, but even without that incredible ending, the tale is a good one, and I can't imagine there will be too many LitRPG fans that don't enjoy this tale. I have no idea if there will be more in this world, but if there are, I'd certainly be happy to read them, the depth of characterization in this story was about as good as it gets, and while a lot of the story was boring political intrigue, the parts focused on the characters couldn't have been any better.
If you're looking for that one LitRPG book you don't want to miss, this one should definitely be on the shelf for consideration.

Dottie

The game is growing so much and in so many ways. It seems the more Michael (the author sorry for the familiar but I’ve come to know him from all the many books I have read) writes the better it is feeling for the characters is a sign that it’s a good story crying for them, in my opinion is a sign that it is great. So many complex feelings dragons that you hate they hold immense power over the Orcs and Insea the tournament’s real reason for existence the calm of most settlements of the different races and the upheaval when it stops and Dottie will be greatly missed or maybe not?

What a great story!

It took me two tries to get going on book one. Unlike other stories by Mr. Anderle, it's not non-stop action. But by the time I was half way through book one, I was hooked. Then I started Choosing What Matters (such an appropriate title). I just kept getting deeper and deeper into the story. And what a story of is!

What a great heroine in such a unique story. It's so strange to start a story where you know what happens to the main character, but it works so well. The emotional connection to the characters is real. I laughed, and yes, I cried.

All the Ándele fin, plus true depth

Mr. Andrew's books are always an adventurously good read, lots of action, and lots of great characters, but this series is a step above his usual offering.

Don't get me wrong, these are great stories, filled with adventures, but there is significantly greater depth to these tales.

I found it a compelling combination, and suspect you will as well.

Great concept

The concept that you can use being immersed in a video game to help you get better from a coma or ease your life in trying times is really great. It helps that the characters are so well written and the story lines are fun with plenty of action. These books make you laugh and cry and go through all of the emotions while giving you a world of fantasy. I cannot wait for the next book.

Loved it

Dotty was like my Mother. Mother was born in 1919 and was in the Army during WWII as a nurse. Even though she was 5’ tall she was no one to mess with. Dotty made me laugh along with other characters. I cried in the end but it looks like she will live on. I really can’t wait for the next one!

Best story ever

This book is so great I have been engrossed in the series of Dorothy. It’s so well done it grabs you and hurls you into her lives within the game. And it brings both joy and sorrow to reality. I cannot describe how truly amazing the book is. A long but wonderful reading experience.

Michael blew this out of the park. A series of adventures based on the interaction of an 84 year old dying grandmother dropped into a full immersion game. Michael weaves a story that tugs at all of your emotions and makes one wonder what if a person could spend the rest of their days living a life they could only fantasize about. In my opinion this is his best work.

Stories that teach how to feel

Not often do stories do more than distract or entertain or help you to clarify a thought. This one helps you to remember to feel and to try and share that feel with those you care about.
