When your enemy becomes your boss, tensions are bound to boil over…

Arrogant, charming and sexy as hell, Master chef Sean Kincaid is legendary both in the kitchen and in the bedroom. So of course it only took five minutes for him to get me overheated. My temper that is.

Because Sean Kincaid is my new boss. Who has strolled into my kitchen demanding I follow his rules. I don

This was super cute, funny and sexy. I ADORED Isla, she was fierce, snarky and afraid to commit, so something that I find very relatable in a character xD Sean was not written as a typical alpha-jerk which is always a win too.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable make-you-feel-good read, and if it weren't for a touch of ridiculous/cheesy/rushed that plagued the ending, I think I would've given this a 4.

I just love a good enemies to lovers romance and Who's the Boss delivered it on a plate filled with witty sassy banter, instant attraction, a independent heroine and a sexy talented man. Isla and Sean have a awkward elevator ride that leads them to the same engagement party. A few too many choice words and Isla can't wait to escape this full of himself arrogant jerk. Oh yes but they shall meet again. Isla and Sean are now working together very closely in the kitchen of a posh restaurant.

3.75 stars. This was a pretty good book. Who's the Boss is Isla and Sean's story. Sean is a chef and is the brother to Michael, the hero in Forty Day Fiancé . Isla is best friend's with Michael's wife, Felicia. Sean and Isla meet in the elevator on the way up to Michael and Felicia's baby shower. The elevator gets stuck and the couple bickers about it, but sparks fly and they end up kissing. A few months later, Isla is expecting a promotion to head chef at the restaurant she works at. I’ve read several books by Erin McCarthy in the last year. And I loved them so much. They just have this nice ‘feel good’ feeling about them and it’s been a joy to read her books. So when I saw the sign-up for ‘Who’s The Boss’, I knew I had to sign up immediately. And when I received the ARC, I started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Who’s The Boss’ we meet Isla and Sean. Isla and Sean meet in an elevator and one thing is immediately certain.. they really don’t like each other. But they also ha

When Isla's job promotion is taken by hot chef Sean, let's just say the sparks fly, both in and out of the kitchen. Neither wants a relationship, but it seems there's something pulling them together. Though they know fraternizing is forbidden, they can't help themselves. Will the heat from their kitchen burn them? Or can they make it work?

This is such a fun, lighthearted story. The sparks between them practically set my Kindle on fire, they were witty and funny, and

2.5 stars. This one started out a little rough and I was about to set it down but since it was so short just gave it a go. This book starts off as a very bitter, “hate you on sight” vibe from the heroine Isla. But thankfully the hate cooled off into some fun banter and then got sweet as the romance picked up.

Isla gets stuck in an elevator while headed to one of her best friends engagement party. In the elevator with her is Sean and he’s headed to the same party, his brother is engaged to her bes

Who's the Boss? by Erin McCarthy is stand-alone enemies-to-lovers workplace romance. Master chef Sean Kincaid and chef Isla Kowalski get along about as well as the proverbial oil and water when they first meet. And when they meet again. And discover they now work together.

Isla's tough, smart, take-no-prisoners style isn't just who she is in the kitchen--she's not survived what life's tossed her way by rolling over politely. She'll make no apology for who she is or how hard s

4 Star Review of Who’s The Boss by Erin McCarthy

Erin McCarthy is a relatively new author to me and I have no idea why that is. Who’s The Boss is an enemies to lovers story which was an entertaining read that drew me in and kept me riveted from the first to the last chapter.

Master Chef Sean Kincaid is smoking hot and arrogant to boot. The sparks fly and he loves to give everyone around him order. When they both compete in a cooking competition the heat will rise in the kitchen

Isla has worked hard to get where she is both in life and in her career so when she finds out that the job she thought was hers was given to the sexy stranger she had an altercation in a broken elevator it becomes a case of dislike at first sight.

Sean is a chef who is confident in his skills both in his personal and professional life. From the first time they met the sparks of antagonism fly but with each interaction they start to realize that first impression can be deceiving and that is when t

4.5 Stars for Who’s the Boss
This is an enemies to lovers romance that captivates and entertains from the first page to the last line.
Master Chef Sean Kincaid is a arrogant jerk but that doesn’t stop him being extremely hot and intriguing, he loves to give orders and boss his staff around but that doesn’t stop Isla Kowakski being attracted to her extremely hot and brooding boss....
When Isla and Sean enter a competition things in the kitchen really heat up and that’s when the fun and games begin.

Erin McCarthy hooked me with Weekend Wife, sucked me deeper into the friendship group with Five First Dates, and had me desperate for more of the characters after Forty Day Fiancé. It is no surprise that I jumped right into Who’s the Boss?

Who’s the Boss? had me gripped from the first page, happily powering through the pages to see how the details came together. The story works perfectly fine as a standalone, but it was great to see more of the characters I have come to enjoy so much in the other

Who's the Boss? by Erin McCarthy is a heatwave that burns through the senses and tickles your funny bone while invading your heart. Sean and Isla are a match made of chaos with a whole lot of heartache to spare. Looks like they tripped over egos and found more than they bargained for. McCarthy lightens the mood with delicious temptation.

They get stuck in the elevator and instantly they're ready to throw down, but when they get up to the party, they have a super hot kiss before going in. I received an eARC of this in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Isla is an interesting character. I wasn’t sure what I thought of her in previous books I’ve read but she’s grown on me as the star of her own show. Dedicated to her career and remaining family, a small group of friends, and her cat, she’s not living a full life though because she shies away from love and letting others in.
I liked how the sparks flew between Isla and Sean in their meet-cute, but I wish the issue

OMG, loved!

Who's the Boss? is an excellent example of workplace romance (with an enemies-to-lovers flavor, though it's really just-got-off-on-the-wrong-foot-darn-that-elevator antagonism, rather than true enemies) done right--all the romance, with none of the inappropriate squickiness. (My browser is telling me that's not a word, but I trust we all know what I mean, yes? ;) )

I loved Isla and Sean together. From their OMG-so-hot first kiss up aga

I totally enjoyed Isla and Sean in Who’s the Boss: An Enemies to Lovers Romantic Comedy by Erin McCarthy. These two had a meet cute in a stalled elevator and Sean, who has claustrophobia, flirted his way through passing the time. All that did was anger Isla; especially when he placed a kiss on her and set her world afire. Fast forward a few months and Isla discovers that Sean, an outsider, has been named Master Chef at her restaurant, instead of her. Now she has to work with him, follow his orde ...more

For some reason, I really enjoy books where one (or both) of the characters are chefs. I have no idea why. I am not even particularly obsessed with restaurants, or cooking, at least I don't think so...but it is what it is and I enjoy books set in the restaurant world.

Sean and Isla have a memorable first encounter with both dislike and attraction but due to something she doesn't know about Sean, but that we as readers find out fairly quickly, their initial meeting

I mean, an enemies to lovers rom-com about two chefs is right up my alley. Well, anything with food is right up my alley, but that’s besides the point! But overall this was a fun and quirky read that I was able to devour in an evening. And even though it is a short book I still felt satisfied with the story and while I want more it also felt complete.

Let me start off by saying there was sooooo much chemistry between our two MCs! And that’s a must when reading a romance book. I mean, imagine if y

Ever since reading The Weekend Wife, I became a fan of Leah and her group of friends, Savannah, Felicia, Isla and Dakota. These ladies are all so different yet so powerful and empowering.

Who's the Boss? is a hilarious enemy to lovers, workplace romance that will have you laughing out loud one moment and the next swooning over the chemistry between the two main characters. Isla Kowalksi (Felicia's best friend) and Sean Kincaid (Michael's brother) first met when they were on their way to Felic

I have really enjoyed this series of books as a group of girlfriends gradually fall in love. This book is about Isla and Sean, Felicia’s brothers-in-law. It is a enemies to lovers book about two people who had no interest in falling in love. I loved how passionate they were both in hate and later in love. We didn’t know much about either of them when the book started, but they both had loss in their backstories and this loss takes them from seemingly detached, cynical, one-dimensional people to ...more

This story is a standalone but the prologue takes place in the midst of Forty Day Fiancee. It is the fourth book in the series and stars the brother, Sean from Forty and Felicia's bestfriend from Forty as well, Isla. In the prologue they meet in the elevator before the wedding.

I have been thoroughly enjoying the "Girlfriends" series by Erin McCarthy (that's how I have dubbed it!). All of these New York friends have been finding love and laughter and now it is Isla's turn no matter what this anti-love cynic believes! Sean Kincaid is one HOT chef!! He would tempt me to try anything. Isla is a take charge, takes not nonsense from anyone. I love her!! These two have a great first introduction in the elevator at the engagement party of Isla's best friend, and Sean's brother. After a smoldering hot kiss in the hallway, the sparks continue to fly.

Sean is hired on as the new head chef at the restaurant that Isla works at. She thought she was possibly up for the promotion, but was as shocked as the other chef that t

Hilarious!! This insta-hate, enemies-to-lovers had me laughing from page one!

Isla and Sean's chemistry leapt off the page! Not only did they bring the heat to the kitchen, but these two chefs lit the pages on fire.

Do you like awkward grand gestures that don't really have much to do with what the character is trying to "prove"? It seems to be Erin Mccarthy's go to move(that and pointing out her bad writing, like HAHA GUYS WASN'T THAT MESSED UP/DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, not gonna fix it though)

Sean and Isla were ok. Less problematic than the main characters in the last one I attempted. They have halfway decent banter part of the time.
