Love isn’t always enough.

Russ Bishop and Stephen Parker are in love. They’ve settled into their relationship and are both happy. But Russ wants more than what they have now, he wants forever.

To him that means marriage, but for Stephen that has never been an option. Marriage equality still isn't recognized in Georgia so why want what he can't have?

Russ and Stephen are back! This is the second book in the Peachtree series and combines what was originally the 3rd and 4th story of the series into one book. You definitely need to have read the first book before this one, as this is a continuation and picks up after the end of the 1st book.

Now that Russ and Stephen have really found a balance with their differences - financially and age-gap, the two continue to deepen their relationship through this book. They're pretty settled, but now have t

This new book is a great continuation of Russ and Stephen’s journey as they build their relationship together, but that doesn't mean that some of the same old insecurities don't continue to rise up, especially when Russ asks Stephen to marry him. As if that isn't enough stress, someone who had a lot to do with the way Stephen approached his relationship with Russ in the early days is back in Stephen's life. Stephen isn't the only one facing his past either as Russ decides to track down the mothe ...more

The Final Goal is Love!

Couple Russ & Stephen faces an unexpected guest, an unexpected Ex, and orchestrated meeting with the past while trying to cement their future together. Well detailed storytelling, although a bit melodramatic. Same likable MCs and co-characters as in Book 1. Overall, a good read. On to Book 3 or maybe on to Evan’s story?!

This is a continuation of the first book I recommend reading the first book before you read this book. The story is about the two man deepening their relationship. About what it takes to really be in a relationship. About falling in love, and what being committed really looks like. The writing was great the smexy was hawt and need to read Ethen and Jeremy’s story

Good sequel

I’d never read this part of the original series and it’s a lovely HEA. No angst, minor stupidity on Stephen’s part. A little predictable but enjoyable.

Christmas is a joyful and carefree time for some, but for others it is a time of nervous preparation, uncertainty, reconciliation and rebuilding close relationships. This year, Russ and Stephen are in this latter group of people, as they spend this special time with Russ's family, who are far from perfect but work really hard to change for the better and be close to one another once again.
Meanwhile, Russ and Stephen's relationship blooms and grows stronger and stronger. Men know that they want t
As with the release of Off-Balance, I wasn't going to read Love in the Balance right now either because I'm so far behind on my 2020 reading list BUT once I read Off-Balance I couldn't deny reading the second installment either.

Russ and Stephen are just as yummy as they were 5 years ago(Holy Hannah Batman has it been 5 years since I finished their journey?). There is just so much goodness in this pair that makes them not only fun to read but realistic too. Considering the area I live in I doubt

Russ Bishop and Stephen Parker are in love. They’ve settled into their relationship and are both happy. Russ’ dad and sister are coming up for Christmas and Stephen is not sure how it will go. His dad is only 11 years older than Stephen, and his dad’s brother had died of AIDS. Regardless, Alan seemed supportive since he wants Russ to be happy. Russ’ sister had been raised by a conservative Baptist aunt who taught her all gay men are headed straight to hell, so they were not sure how that meeting ...more

Not a standalone. This is the 2nd book and continued story of the same couple Russ and Stephen. The first book should be read first. I love this couple so much. They have great chemistry and I was eager to read their continued love story. They seemed much more comfortable in their relationship im this book and it was great to read how they were together. So sweet!

This book starts off at Christmas. Russ's family comes down to vis

For a brief moment in time, I had forgotten Off-Balance was the beginning of a series. How could I, you ask? I don’t know! It sounds crazy even to me. Once that was corrected, I was dying to get my hands on this book. I fell absolutely in love with Stephen and Russ. To get to spend more time with them, without simply re-reading the book, is a gift. It’s one I’d never turn down!

In this book, we find them about seven months into their relationship. They’re more settled and are just as taken with e

This is the second installment in the story of Russ and Stephen. It begins with them in a place of stability and security— they’ve dealt, for the most part, with their primary issues, including a significant age gap, Russ’s stubbornness, and Stephen’s controlling nature. They’re good, as individuals and as a unit, right up until the moment that they aren’t. A lot happens in this book: a family reconciliation, a reunion with an ex, a reunion with a long-lost parent, work stress, the all-but-adopt ...more

Russ and Stephen are back again and still have the same issues. Stephen is phenomenally high handed and rather me me me and despite Russ offering love and support acts like he has the worst problems ever created. Russ is reeling when Stephen rejects happy ever after with him and wonders if this is the end for them both. The love between the two of them is undeniable but when an ex turns up will what they have be enough to see them through. Russ got some long awaited questions answered but it isn ...more

This book is phenomenal and I absolutely loved it! The continuation of Russ and Stephen's journey, this book is amazingly wonderful. They decide to have Russ's family over for Christmas and his sister Addie, brings her new boyfriend. This initially causes some friction but soon, Joseph is just like one of the family. Stephen will encounter his ex, Jeremy, and will finally get the chance to get some closure and learn the truth about Jeremy's feelings after the accident. Russ will jump in to help ...more

Love in the Balance is a fun romance. In book one, Off Balance, everything starts with a spilt coffee. And from there, this Brigham Vaughn series just gets better.

Now a couple, we get to revisit Russ and Stephen as they deal with some of their family issues. We get to see them through some good times, some bad times, and everyday life, all of which are important to their character growth.

This tale has a strong emphasis on their work and balancing work with life. They have differences that need

4 and 1/2 stars here <3

Here we follow Stephen and Russ as they navigate on making their relationship stronger. On the previous book, Stephen had a lot to deal and to learn, and it's no different in here. Add to that a former lover to the scenario and we have Stephen and Russ dealing with even more, while trying to move foward and leave the past where it belongs. Brigham wrote a good story, it flows and grabs your attention. My only problem is (still) how Stephen behaves sometimes, so stuck in wh

This is book two in the Peachtree series and it is a very good read. Book one is 'Off Balance' and should be read before this story as 'Love in the Balance' is a continuation.
Russ and Stephen are now and established couple and very much in love. However, before they can go forward they really need to deal with their pasts. Stephen began this in 'Off Balance' but he still has a lot to face and Russ now begins his journey too.
The book is very much a love story and at just a few points I thought th

Russ Bishop and Stephen Parker are and totally in love. These boys stole my heart in the first book. And now as they are together in a relationship they find out that its not always smooth running. There are problems that a rise and family to overcome and ex who rise their heads again. But will they work together or will it all be too much?
Please please read the first book to get Russ and Stephen story of how they met and the journey they went on and then you can

Love and Balance is a continuing series of an established couple, and reading book one is truly a necessity.

Finally, these two guys have found their happiness. Russ and Stephen both worked hard to get where they are in their journey. Just one more hiccup, Russ wants marriage and Stephen, not so much.
What better way to express your forever with the love of your life? That is until the ex performs a mission creep back into Stephen's life. Time to deal with the ghosts of the past before their love

Russ and Stephen are back and just as wonderful together as they are in the first book. This is a continuation of their love story (so definitely read book 1 first) and whilst it gives them a few more struggles, it also reaffirms the strength of their love for one another. Russ and Stephen have such a solid relationship and they have finally found the balance in their relationship. The age and financial issues from the first book have been settled and this time, they're looking at the re-appeara ...more

Stephen and Russ's relationship has continued and they are settling in well to living together. But things are about to change again.
With both of them busy at work and then having Russ's family visiting Atlanta for Christmas, then having an unexpected house guest, they are not getting much "QUALITY" time together. What else could happen, well for one thing a chance meeting with Jeremy ..makes Russ feel insecure in their relationship.
This is the second installment of Stephen and Russ's story but

I appreciated the journey that these characters went through in this book. When I read a series that features the same couple, I look for continued growth in the stories. Sometimes, there's the unfortunate occurrence in series that follow the same couple where their growth ,both individually and as couple, hit a plateau. This was not the case here. It was evident that both men still had a lot of character development left within their individual stories and so too with their story as a couple. I ...more

This is the second book in the Peachtree series and the first book that I have read in this series. This story is well written and easy to read. There is nothing wrong with this book; the story just didn't grab me. I wasn't invested in the characters. The trials and tribulations that they went through just didn't have an impact.

I read the Midwest series and I loved them. I was totally engrossed in the characters and the story. That just didn't happen for me in this book.

This is book two for Russ and Stephen in the Peachtree Series. Russ asks Stephen to marry him and he says no. That causes all kinds of problems for both of them as Russ deals with feelings of rejection, jealousy of Stephen's old boyfriend, and being busy from work. Stephen doesn't think they need to get married to be committed to each other until he fully understands how Russ feels. The love both have for each other keeps them together for a beautiful future. I am looking forward to the next cha ...more

Love in the Balance is the second book in a series and you need to read them in order, it is not a standalone. It is a workplace romance, with age-gap and a second chance.

I loved this read, it is a beautifully written love story that kept my attention from cover to cover. After Book 1, Off-Balance, I couldn't wait to read the rest of Russ and Stephen's story. This book has a lot going on, often emotional, causing tears at times. One is ready for the relationship to go to the next step, one isn't

The second book in the Peachtree series, and it’s so good!
We’re back with Russ and Stephen, following them while they progress in their relationship, facing both day-to-day life and problems, AND unexpected and unsettling events.
As they settle in their relationship, there’s much less angst and self-insecurities and they actually start to trust themselves, the other and their relationship, and talk to each other instead of running when there’s trouble.

This is the second story in the Peachtree series. It does help to read the first story. It was sooo good!! I love how we got more of Russ and Stephen, the continuation of their relationship. Russ wants more, marriage. Stephen thinks that is not an option because marriage is not recognized in the state, they live in. The story had healing and closure for the men so that they could continue to love one another. Loved it!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews ar ...more

I love Brigham’s writing in general but getting to see a couple’s life after the original happily ever after?
This was fantastic.
I loved Stephen and Russ. They were natural and perfect. They had arguments and life issues and Brigham never shied away from it. I wanted to know what happened to these guys and I admit, Jeremy and Evan. She gave it to us in spades
The characters were flawed and amazing. They weren’t just about their spice. It was about how to make their joined lives work.

Wishes can come true. Stephen and Russ were still going strong and growing. Stephen deals with past issues and relationships and Russ is dealing with his Dad, Alan and conservatively raised sister, Addie. Stephen and Russ open up and get to know each other better. Can Addie accept Stephen and their relationship? Will Russ be able to explain his deepest wishes? Can Stephen take the final step? Really good story.
