I had a great time reading this! The romance was sweet, there was some danger and drama, and of course a happy ending. We also got to see Gideon and Fiona from the first book and I love seeing previous characters be happy and moving forward with their lives.

Michelle is a great main character, she's brave and tough and driven. She's going to be a nurse and not let her terrible family get in the way. Her only downfall is that she keeps everyone at arm's length, never getting serious with a man so

This was an enjoyable second chance romance. Michelle and Brooks had a past romance. When they meet up again by chance, neither of them is prepared for the feelings that are still present under the surface. Michelle grew up with a difficult family life and never felt deserving of love. Brooks was dealing with his own personal family heartbreak. Together, they can support one another and ultimately find love...if they will just let it in.

A meaningful and heartwarming read.
The story of Brooks and Michelle started 2 years ago when they had a fling, bu Michelle ended it suddenly without explanation, slamming the door in Brooks’s face.
Now at the engagement party of Fiona, Michelle’s best friend, and Gideon, Brooks’s teammate, they see each other again. And while Brooks wants answers, he also wants to see if he can have something more with her again, since no girl since her has made him feel like this. But Michelle resists at first, she left him bc she began to f

Super fun story about a commitment phobia woman. Brooks is a super star baseball athlete who realizes fate has stepped in for a fun ride. Sometimes love hits you out of nowhere. The struggles Michelle gone through to pull her life out of the gutter Is realistic. The suspense & conclusion of what happens with her family is great. The other characters like Brigham & Logan make this book relatable. I want more of these friends. Everyone needs to read this.

I enjoyed this one and the friendships we get to see. The relationship between Michelle and Brooks was rocky most of the time. Brooks and his plan to woo Michelle was at times funny. I did like him more than Michelle who was irritating at times. Lots of steamy scenes. I did not read Book #1 but was not lost in the story.

Sliding Home is entertaining, sexy, and subverts typical romantic tropes.

Michelle Benning had a plan: work hard and get through school so she can escape the consequences wrought by her awful family. Flings only, with no strings attached. Until Brooks Madsen entered the picture. He’s the only one who managed to breach the walls of her heart. Two years after she caught feelings during their hookup and ghosted him, he’s thrown back into her life. Their chemistry is still undeniable, but Michelle i

What a beautiful and emotional story! I loved reading this book!

I know that maybe you've heard it so many times before, but this book is on the next level! Trust me!

This book is about Michelle and Brooks; Michelle is studying to be a nurse whilst Brooks is a famous baseball player. When Michelle sees her past fling at her best friend's engagement party, she freaks out! Brooks, on the other hand, feels many emotions, anger, confusion, hurt and others. Brooks makes it a point to win over Michell

Sliding Home By Jaqueline Snowe

I was given this book to read for my honest review. I will start by saying that Jaqueline Snowe moved to my favorite author list after I read my first book by her. I can’t get enough. This book focuses on the characters of Michelle and Brooks. It was a bit of a role reversal than most books, Brooks was all in and Michelle well let’s just say she had her reasons for being a bit flighty. I loved the progression of their relationship and how brooks just didn’t give up

Entertaining story with some fun, sweet romantic moments; plus, some hotness! I didn’t really connect with the characters though; especially Michelle, I thought she was a bit of a butt. Just her whole vibe was off for me; probably her hot and cold demeanor, she annoyed me a lot. Baseball player Brooks and want to be nurse Michelle had a quick, passionate romance 2 years ago, but Michelle ran scared; she doesn’t do commitment. She has issues and is so touchy, but there’s some stuff in her past. T ...more

He's a good guy, working with his brother to try to do the best they can for their mother. Michelle has a terrible past that she hides from friends and family. She has one mantra, get through school. She found her self face to face with Brooks the ball player who could have been more two years ago. She tries to push him away again. Brooks is just as determined to pull her in to see if they can be more. Their chemistry is white hot and it melts Michelle's resistance. When evil from her past makes an appearance she tries to push Brooks away. Fortunately Michelle has interfering friends ...more

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I loved this story about Brooks and Michelle. She had a crappy childhood, her dad a thief, her mom and brother both addicts and they never really cared. She had a fling with Brooks 2 years ago, but now he's around all the time, mutual friends. When they pick up when they left off, it freaks her out. Then to have her brother and dad try and blackmail her for money, she freaks out. Brooks will do anything to keep Michelle, but he's working reall ...more

The very first Jaqueline Snowe book I ever read was Evening The Score. I adored Fiona and Gideon and all of their friends and was so sad when I finished the book, I just wasn’t ready for their story to end. Imagine my surprise when I realized that the characters in Evening the Score also appear in Sliding Home! Then, to experience the renewal of a relationship between Fiona’s best friend, Michelle, and Gideon’s teammate, Brooks, was just amazing. Their chemistry is off the charts and these two j ...more

Sexy, sassy, with baseball and all the feels, made this is one of the best stories I have read in this genre. Pour out the wine, plate up your favourite treat and enjoy - I did! I really loved this book as it had a great storyline and characters and this book one that's hard to put down because all I wanted to do was gobble it right up. Michelle and Brooks haven't seen each other in two years. But there is real connection and chemistry there, even though she is hesitant to give them a go and take a chance that this time around they can make something good happen. Good thing that not only is he a good guy, he is a competitor who knows how to hang in there as he goes after what he wants.

Fun read
This book is about Michelle and Brooks. They had a thing a couple of years ago, but she left. Now they’ve been thrown together again, so-to-speak. Will those sparks that perhaps never totally went out reignite? The journey isn’t a straight-forward one for them, but the chemistry is still there. The tough ones are worth fighting for.

Brooks is definitely a go-getter. I love his character! There’s no question that he does go after what he wants. Michelle is stubborn and quite set on her ways. They are totally perfect for one another! It was amusing how they actually get to the point of being together.

This was a beautiful and emotional story. Michelle had a troubled childhood and is afraid to commit to anyone, enter Brooks Madsen, a sexy, down-to-earth baseball player. He is so caring, sweet and patient towards her. Brigham and Logan were great characters as well! This was a nice read.

I loved this book! It has all the feels, happy, sad, anger, love. I haven’t read the first book in this series, but you can bet I’ll be reading it very soon. I absolutely loved Brooks. He’s sweet, caring, supportive and an all-around awesome guy. What’s not to love about him. Michelle is prickly, sassy, sarcastic and foul mouth and I loved her too. She was the perfect complement to Brooks sweet side and they're ridiculously hot together. If you loved sports romance, or sarcastic leading ladies o ...more

This was my first read from this author. I loved the dual first person point of view of Michelle and Brooks. This is always a deal breaker for me. The characters had believable chemistry, which is also important. I will read more from this author in the future.

This was a good read. I would have liked it more if I liked Michelle. I couldn’t stand her. I get she has issues but her hot and cold attitude gave me whiplash. Brooks was sweet and he deserved better than Michelle.
