Restraint is the 5th book in the Heaven Hill Generation series. We were introduced to Caelin and Justice in previous book so to get the full enjoyment of their story this series needs to be read in order. With that said, I was anxious to see how the author would bring these two characters together. Both grew up together in the MC world of Heaven’s Hill and knew the complications of such. The author blended the past MC world with the present to bring suspense along with their romance.
Justice has always longed for Caelin however she’s 6 years his junior. Caelin also felt a connection with Justice. The pair share a bond that kept them connected to the past but helped them grow as friends into the future. Once Justice turned 18 there wasn’t’ anything holding them back. Justice was an easily likeable character. Because of her past, she was guarded and shy. She didn’t trust easily but was able to let her guard down easily with Caeilin. I would have liked to see more of courtship between them. It was pretty cut and dry. She turned 18 and they started in a relationship. He knew what needed to be done to protect her and didn’t hesitate to make it happen.
The ending of this book is what has stayed with me. I thought Justice broke through her fears and really stood out as a brave young women. I enjoyed watching her grow in the final chapter but wish we would have seen more of her spirt in the book instead of just the ending. I also found parts of storyline was similar to another books in the series. I may not have noticed so much but I read the books back to back.
The final chapter give us a glimpse of her sister and I can’t wait to see what she has instore for us!
Friends, MC family, and perhaps love? Justice and Caelin had a lot of history together. A near tragedy so many years ago bound them in a way that they cherished and feared. Caelin was who Justice felt the safest with. Other than her family he was the one… They were older now yet he wasn’t taking the hint…
I loved how these two shared so much yet held so much back. Talk about being at odds. MC family was complicated, there are rules, and their age hadn’t helped either. Now was their time and they both were ready to step up, face their feelings as well as their parents and everyone who might opposite them…
This spin-off series has brought all the drama and love I’d hoped for. Sometimes follow-up stories don’t have the same emotional impact but this next Generation has brought it in bucket loads. There was heat and steam, family (oh my goodness there was a ton of family) and a crisis that would just seal the deal for both of them. Low on MC grit and wonderfully high on family and love, I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to let go of Heaven Hill… ~Diane, 4 stars
It's hard to express just how much I was anticipating this book. And I'm so happy that it was a great read about two people who have a strong connection and attraction that was just waiting to explode.
I love Caelin and Justice. I hate slow burns almost as much as I love them. Let me tell you that my nails are almost gone because I was biting them so hard in anticipation of them finally coming together. But I think what I loved the most about this story was the way they didn't rush into anything and they let the physical and romantic relationship develop naturally.
I think I've already said it once and I'll say it again; Laramie Briscoe writes blue collar romance like nobody else. With each book you get to experience a love story that seems so relatable and I'm here for it.

*Oh my! I’m going to miss these two so much! We’ve watched these two for so long and now they finally get there happily ever after. This one was well written and exactly how I always pictured it would be between them. Now I can hardly wait for the next and final story within this series. I feel very invested in this one!
Sometimes when you wait for a long time for a book it’s a letdown when it comes out. That was so NOT the case with Restraint by Laramie Briscoe. This book was fabulous from the first page to the last page. Caelin & Justice’s book has so much going on and so much emotion in it, it a phenomenal read and I couldn’t put it down.
Restraint by Laramie is amazing. I have waited for Caelin and Justice’s story and we finally have it and it is just everything. Justice is amazing and so is Caelin he is hot and amazing and everything. I don’t want to give to much away since I know this is a story a lot of people have waited for but definitely go one click it will blow you away. Thank you Laramie for an amazing story!!!!
Restraint is the fifth title in the Heaven Hill Generations series and features the long-awaited story of Caelin and Justice.
Justice is the daughter of Drew and Charity who were featured in Fury, and is a strong, resilient, and independent heroine who has been protected and sheltered by those around her since a life altering event in her childhood. But nothing holds back this determined and driven young woman, who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants.
Caelin is the son of Tyler and Meredith featured in Out of Darkness and is several years older than Justice. He had bided his time and waited until they were both adults to share his intentions. He’s a loyal, respectful, intelligent, protective, patient, and caring alpha.
Restraint is an incredibly sweet and heartfelt story, but also quite steamy and the connection and chemistry between this pair oozes off the page.
I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the Heaven Hill MC series, and look forward to the next addition to the series.
Restraint is book 5 in the Heaven Hill Generations series by Laramie Briscoe. This is Caelin and Justice's story. Caelin became Justice's hero years ago when he saved her from a crazed gunman. Fast forward to present, their friendship turned into something deeper, hotter..these two have a deep connection and their chemistry is red-hot. Caelin and Justice were absolutely brilliant for one another! I enjoyed watching Justice come out of her shell and find out who she was meant to be before tragedy years before derailed her life; loved watching her stand up for herself and show her family that she can take care of herself...Caelin gave support while being respectful to her and his Prez's family. The road to romance was a bit bumpy but they finally got there. Really liked how it happened- great HEA . I can't wait for Harley and Bishop's book next.
Restraint by Laramie Briscoe is book 5 in the Heaven Hill Generations Series. This is the story of Caelin and Justice. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one. Justice has been sheltered and protected after what had happened to her earlier in life. But now she has come of age and she is coming into her own. Caelin has had feeling toward Justice for a while but has waited his time for her to mature and be more into her own. But there coming together is snagged up but love has its path and they are on it. Really enjoyed this series and I plan on reading more from this author.
I absolutely freaking love Caelin and Justice even more than I did before!! This book is so good I really didn’t want it to end. Caelin and Justice had such a good back story and holy hotness their chemistry was INSANE. I want to give it more than 5 stars as it deserves so much more.
Oh Caelin! When the elder ol’ ladies are lusting after him, you know he is The Man! Absolutely adore his relationship with Justice and all the respect they show each other! Love how Justice blooms finally and how her family react to that.
Such a fab feeling being back with the Heaven Hill family, a definite 5 star recommendation from me!!
Loved how sweet Caelin and Justice are. Caelin is that young guy all the ladies are lusting after and Justice is the one everyone wants to protect. Justice finally comes into her own taking what she wants. These two are so adorably sweet it makes my teeth hurt. Loved it so much! And Joanie! Omg! That was an awesome way for them to bond.
Y'all Justice and Caelin are everything I thought they would be and more. These two are so sweet and dance around each other but when they finally give in it so worth it. And that ending for her and Harley both shew!!!!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
If you have been reading the Heaven Hills Generations then you have probably some idea who Justice is. And now we get Caelin's fully story and I have to warn you that if all the old ladies think he is something then he must be the stuff every woman looks for in a man. And I will warn you that Justin and Caelin will melt your very heart. They have to be one of the sweetest couple that I have ever read about. These two have had feelings for each other for forever and never acted on them. But now they are grown up and nothing it stopping them. I don't want to tell you anything about this book. The description is very vague and I didn't really know and I loved going in blind. I thought this was the best book in the series so far and I can't wait to see what we get next. I can never get enough of these Heaven Hills gals and guys.
Wow! What a story!! I have been waiting a while for this story and I have been super patient while waiting and I don't even know where to begin with my love for this book.
In this addition to this series we finally get Justice and Caelin's story. It is a story that has been long in the making - like almost 10 years in the making and after some horrific events that got us to this point. Justice and Caelin have both been through so much and to have this pair get some happy in their lives was amazing.
Justice, daughter of the club's president has been sheltered since her horrific kidnapping by former club member Travis. She has had a strong pull toward Caelin but was unsure if her feelings were reciprocated or if they were true or as a result of him saving her from Travis all those years before. Finally acting on her feelings she takes to plunge with Caelin.
Caelin, son two prestigious parents highly involved in the community as well as the club, has also had feelings for Justice but has patiently waited for her to become of age and decide that he was what she wanted in her life. He wanted to ensure that her feelings for him were true instead of feelings of obligation to him for saving her all those years ago. While exploring things with Justice he finds himself being pulled in many directions but he needs to figure out how to balance everything and have Justice in his life.
Watching this pair grow as characters was a great experience. The chemistry between the pair was off the charts and seeing their relationship play out was like watching a flower blossom. The relationship between this pair has been building for what felt like ever but getting their story was like crossing a peak and it was a great story. The plot moved along well and did not dwell on the past. Watching both characters develop through the story was amazing. I liked seeing Justice finally express her thoughts and opinions to others about them wanting to shelter her and not treat her as an equal to her twin all because of the events that could not be prevented in the past.
Overall, there is so much more I can say about this book but why ruin a reading experience for someone else just so I can gush some more. Now if only I could give this book more than 5 stars I would be happy. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and would recommend this book to others.
Caelin is a man that fixes problems. Justice wants to be heard and taken seriously. Theirs was an interesting tale. These two have known each other for a while but a relationship never happened. Our author came up with an interesting way.
Justice had a life altering event but she turned it around in order to do good for others. Caelin is her champion. He may ride a motorcycle but it’s just a horse with two legs instead of four. You would expect him to be an alpha male but when he’s around Justice he seems so patient and understanding. He lets her set the pace as to when things are going to happen.
It was nice to watch their relationship build but Justice was the one to impress me. She was not going to let what happened to her in the past define who she is as a woman. Caelin steps back in order to let her shine and he’s there to support her in any way. This was one where it almost seemed therapeutic. I’m sure that there are women out there who can understand it so you might remember your own experience while reading. Any of her feelings may be ones you understand too well. Justice seems to impart some words of wisdom along the way for one so young.
This book may not be as long as some but it doesn’t read that way. Our author doesn’t cut any corners to pack her story into less than 200 pages. It was like she was letting her characters dictate every chapter. I thought it was a very romantic story – even when life tries to interrupt. Caelin could be described as the perfect book boyfriend. He’s allowing Justice to emerge from her chrysalis in order to shine as the butterfly he knows she is. Our main characters give us the perfect ending to their story and then the author turns around and gives us the perfect beginning to her next book.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I received a copy of the book for a honest review.
First thing is first and I have to say I have been waiting for this book for so long! So i knew my expectations and imagination would color whatever i was reading no matter how good it was. That being said I felt like it fell a little short. Dont get me wrong this was written well, the story was good but there was just something about it that felt very... lacking? I think i expected more Alpha vibes from Caelin and surprisingly we get a lot more of Justices family in this book than we do Caelins and I fee like that was honestly missed. However, these two do have a great book. This is worth the read. I just think i built it up too much in my head and on that note Im going to elaborate on the elements of this book I really like. Justice was a great female lead character. Not going to lie I went into this really focused and excited about Caelin and finished the book being a Justice Fangirl more than anything. this girl has been through so much and you really see her stand on her own and take control of her life in this book. I loved it and think that character growth was done so well. Caelin is a lot like his dad in that they are both supported, secure and loving men. I really loved Caelin for Justice because they are both figuring out their relationship but there is no denying how much he enjoys watching her come into her own. This story is sweet, soft, steamy and action packed. However, My favorite scene in this books the last epilogue chapter. That i cannot wait for and your just going to have to read the book to figure out why.
A dark night and tragedy when they were younger brought them together for a lifetime. They had to fight to stay away from each other until they were older and Justice was at the age that Caelin could show her how he really felt about her. He’s still afraid of what her father will say or do if he shows his hand though.
Justice Walker survived a dark day with the help and protection of the Heaven Hills MC, but the person who really saved her was Caelin Blackfoot. He protected her and her father when they rescued her and he also helped her to recover from the tragedy and the fall out of that fateful night.
This story has been a long awaited story for me. If you have been reading the Heaven Hills books by Laramie Briscoe, I believe that it has been for you as well. These characters are like family to me. I love how they all protect anyone that is part of their family, or considered family. They’ve had some rough times and some happy times, but Justice and Caelin have had to fight to heal and they deserve the best that life can give them. Justice has proven that she’s better and ready to take on the world. She’s kind hearted, tough, and still a bit vulnerable, but Caelin helps her to build her armor and show the family that she’s not broken. I loved this story and thought that it was beautifully written and the subject matter was handled perfectly. I give this story a 5-star review and am waiting for Harley’s story, although I hate to see it come because it means the end of the series. I love these characters and their stories.
I have been waiting for this book ever since Fury and the Heaven Hill Shorts. Justice and Caelin have both grown into some fine adults, maybe a little sooner than intended due to the events in Fury. They let their feelings grow for each other but never acted on these feelings. Until now. Just as they are coming together and finally starting a long awaited relationship crap hits the fan. Luckily it’s not a normal big bad we have to deal with. The bad guy has no real vendetta out for Justice or Caelin. It’s more of wrong place, wrong time type situations. The story focuses more on the relationship building and Justice finding and showing her true self. Justice might have found a hero in Caelin but that day (in Fury) led to her finding a hero in herself. She became a person who could save herself and no longer feared the world. As the Heaven Hill series is coming to an end, I think this is a great addition and shows the family that HH has always been at its core. This story is one that shows the HH family having to accept their youngest members are growing up and strong despite everything that has occurred in their life. This is a coming of age story and is an amazing way to begin the end of the Heaven Hill series. But man, I think Harley and Bishop are going to have HH go out with a BANG and I can’t wait!
Ms. Briscoe has outdone herself, truly a new solid favorite for me. Caelin and Justice have been building for a long time, well overdue for her to turn of age and their relationship to take off. Caelin has always been waiting in the wings for Justice, after saving her life when she was just ten years old, he undeniably tied himself to her. The pull has always been there and it has just intensified throughout the years, and explodes on the pages. Since the day she was kidnapped Justice has always been told to be careful, and watched carefully by the club. She fought hard to get her life back and become a source of strength for women on the run. She found her inner warrior and is ready to battle anyone who challenges her decision to stake her claim on Caelin. Their relationship feels like we pick up on it after they’ve been together for multiple years. They know each other's heart and soul, their likes and dislikes, they’ve built around each other for years before committing to each other publicly. Their chemistry explodes but does it in such a way that readers know there will never be another, this is it. I love seeing the new generation come in, but Justice and Caelin have my heart. I held on for their story for what seemed like years and it was the best one yet. I can easily see this as a multiple reread for years to come.
This is probably the most anticipated story from Laramie Briscoe yet. Caelin and Justice’s story has had quite the build up to now and it blew me away!
I don’t think there will be a time reading any Heaven Hill book that my heart won’t break all over again about Travis. So much went wrong and I wish it didn’t happen the way it did. I mourn Travis every time we see the ripple effect of his betrayal.
I knew Caelin would be an amazing man. With Tyler Blackfoot as your father there is no other option. I dare say he beats Tyler in the alpha game. Caelin’s love for Justice is other worldly. They were born for each other.
Justice is a strong woman that is fighting to have her place in this world. She’s treated like she will break any moment but that’s nit the case. She needs those who love her to let go and show who she really is. Caelin is her other half and luckily trusts her. He is there as a support system and doesn’t want to smother her. That doesn’t mean if you mess with her you won’t be dealing with the young Blackfoot because you will. He just understands her in a way no one else does.
The family dynamic amongst the whole Heaven Hill crew is a special one. Laramie has created a world that will long stay with us into the future. This cast of characters deserve much more than 5 stars!
Whoa. I got the pleasure of reading the first four books in this series before all but devouring this beauty (right after I might add) and y'all. Again with the whoa.
This ENTIRE series is back with so many feels, all the heat, all the danger, all the suspense, all the loads of feels and did I mention allllllllll the feels it's packed with?
I tend to avoid MC romances on the regular, with exceptions obviously but y'all, there is something about Laramie's words that I'm all but addicted too (love her other series).
Restraint knocked me on my a$$ big time and kept me hurrying through all the words in so many moments. I don't want to spoil Justice and Caelin's journey but wow...
This series and more specifically this book is all kinds of complicated but oh so freaking good. It's intense. It's full of danger. It's full of secrets and revelations. It's got heat. It's got heart. It's full of nearly everything you need to keep you hooked cover to cover, just like the other books in this series. SO GOOD.
If you like a different kind of MC romance (all the good things, swear!) then the fabulous Laramie and this series (plus the original which is of my TBR!) are an absolute must read.
It's been almost a year since the last book in this series released. I started this one and thought....wait....what. I pulled up the last book thinking I needed to re-read. Tried a full chapter and then I was right back with the Heaven Hill gang. It all came back to me. This is FINALLY Caelin and Justice's time.
These two have known each other all their lives. A traumatic event links them forever. But now time has passed. The link they shared as young people has turned into great friendship. Both of them want to have more. But who will take the first step? And who will tell Justice's father, the pres of the MC?
Great romance for these two. There is a bit of suspense near the end but it doesn't involve the MC and it really lets Justice shine in how far she has come since she was a scared 10 year old. Loved seeing Harley and Bishop together. Loved how Justice and her mom had a heart to heart. Everything comes down to love in this book. Love of family, love of friends and most of all true love between two people who own each others hearts.
Great sneak peek at the next book! Whew! Gonna be a great one as well.
*Complementary copy provided for an honest review.
Restraint is the 5th book in the Heaven Hill Generations series. This is Caelin and Justice's love story. This couple have been dancing around their relationship for a while. This book is the much-anticipated culmination of their story. Justice has an undeniable strength. In the story we see her become the person everyone knew she could be by proving just how much she can take care of herself amd be her own person. Caelin is the boyfriend every girl deserves. Respectful, patient, protective, and caring. There were moments that you weren't sure if something was coming, instead it was a story full of a strongly connected couple with an outstanding support system discovering who they are and finally getting their happily ever after.
After reading the second epilogue, I can not wait for the next installment of this series. This book could be read as a standalone but is best if read after the other books of the series. To get an even better understanding of the characters, you may want to read the Heaven Hill Shorts and the original Heaven Hill series. You will not be disappointed.
Finally getting Justice and Caelin’s story! After the buildup over multiple books between these two, I was so excited that they were finally going to get their HEA and I couldn’t be more happier over how things ended up for them! When Justice finally takes control and shows Caelin that she’s ready and her childhood crush has only grown and flourished for him, he finally gets Drew’s permission to pursue her and is all in. I also love that in addition to the love story for these two, we also get to know Justice as an adult and start to grow into herself by telling her family that she isn’t the same girl who was previously kidnapped and that she can handle things herself. Ironically, the day she really takes that on is a day that stuff goes down in town, and we are able to see her true strength, and we see that she’s a lot stronger than the MC thinks she is and has learned from her life experiences. I loved this story, and I can’t wait to see who’s next especially after the ending with Harley! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If you followed along with this amazing series then you know how hard it's been to wait on Restraint, and trust me it's been torture since I needed this story so much. I'm not saying that the wait wasn't worth it because the brilliant Laramie Briscoe absolutely upped her game (didn't think that was even possible since it's hard to level up perfection) with Restraint, and I'm still highly emotional about it all. Even as I write this review, I feel my eyes about to go rogue as I felt this story down deep. I don't feel like I want to get into detail about it at all which is why I'm just talking about my feelings as they're still out running amok. The moment I picked this book up, I couldn't put it down to even eat and/or use the restroom, so it's probably a good idea to not start it before bed because I promise you that you won't go to sleep until every last page is devoured. So, if you love to experience your stories on a deeper level, then you need to hit those one click buttons & be ready for all this emotionally breathtaking goodness! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Laramie's Heaven Hill series is one of my favorites and definitely one on my regularly re-read list, so I was super excited that she wrote a second generation series. The great thing about that is that I not only get to know the newest stories, but I also get to revisit the people that I fell for in the first generation.
I will just go ahead and admit that Cailen and Justice are my favorites out of all the Generations stories so far. The beginning of their story is the fact that they are connected within the Heaven Hill MC family. The next connection is out of something so life changing that neither are truly ready for all that entails. Both end up having to break free of their family and friends' perceptions of them which again is another bond. Truth is that Justice just touched something inside my heart. She is just so strong and no one sees that strength but Cailen. I really loved these two together. I loved everything about their story and I highly recommend it.
This is the fifth book in this awesome series and is Caelin and Justice’s story, which has been a long time in the making, and so worth the incredible wait. Justice is the daughter of the MC’s President and has been sheltered her whole life after what she has endured, and she comes into her own in this tale. Caelin has been waiting patiently for Justice to come off age, and for her to be sure of her true feelings for him. These two may have danced around each other for some time, but they are destined by fate to be together, and I loved how their relationship evolves, and the chemistry between them is explosive and undeniable. This is a well written flawless story which is emotionally charged, and with intrigue, family, love, and is an entertaining and all-consuming riveting page turner. This talented author has done a phenomenal job in weaving this storyline, and I look forward to reading more of her work, which I highly recommend.
