Eye Movement Integration Therapy is the first book to detail one of the most innovative and effective new treatments available to psychotherapists today. Filled with case examples and informed by extensive experience teaching the technique, the book is accessible to informed lay persons, as well as to all readers with prior training in psychology. "Danie Beaulieu is one of the most lively, innovative and intelligent teachers of psychotherapy that I have ever encountered. Eye Movement Integration Therapy is just one of her many valuable contributions." - Jeffrey K. Zeig, PhD, Director, The Milton H. Erickson Foundation Dr Danie Beaulieu studied for her PhD at the University of Montreal and has been in private practice as a psychologist since 1992. She is a much sought after speaker and lecturer at symposia all over the world. Danie publishes her own books and guides on Impact Therapy and related techniques in the French language via Editions Academie Impact.
Since writing this book, I’ve had the privilege of hearing from professionals on five continents who have integrated these techniques into their work with clients struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and emotionally painful life experiences.
What began as a desire to help people process difficult events more naturally and effectively gradually evolved into an international training community. Over the years, I’ve been invited to teach these approaches in many different countries, and today a team of trainers continues to offer this work in nine languages.
What has touched me most throughout this journey is not only the growing interest in the method, but the many stories of people who, after feeling emotionally stuck for years, were finally able to move forward and reclaim a greater sense of peace, freedom, and well-being.
For many therapists as well, these approaches offered a more experiential and hopeful way of helping clients navigate painful memories—often renewing hope not only for the people seeking help, but also for the professionals walking beside them.
