This book was quite a bit of everything: part sweet romance, part steamy romance; part cozy mystery, part thriller. While I found the plot to be predictable, that did not make it any less enjoyable. I really loved Madelyn. She has been through the ringer, but knows who she is, what she wants, and how to get it. I really admire her. My only qualm was that the “bad guy” characters were traditionally feminine blonde women. That’s a trope I’m not a fan of. However, overall this book portrayed romanc ...more

Like all too many women, Madelynn Stacilli was emotionally abused by her husband – criticized, belittled, made to feel worthless and helpless. Fortunately, she has managed to muster the money and the courage to seek a divorce, move across the country, and start a new life in New Haven, Connecticut. Here, she hopes she can realize her long-cherished dreams of running a bookstore and becoming a published author. Her fledgling business is her primary focus; after her experiences with marriage, she’ ...more

In 1997 I met my wife on the internet, which was taboo at the time. Now, it is a commonplace. So, while reading this book, I was taken back to that time.
Just like Madelyn, my wife carried a good deal of baggage, as did I. In the end, love finds its way to her.
The story grabbed me from the start and kept me moving along during the whole read. The characters also get your attention from the beginning, and you begin to pull for them. The plot and subplots are interesting. I don’t want to give away
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
This was a full one. It had a lot of things that had you going further into the read to see the more that was coming. Brem and Madelyn found something more in each other when they were not looking for more with anyone. They both had a past relationship that allowed for doubt to come in.

I found some good characters there were characters. Viv was one of them. Her bond with Madelyn was the anchor for Madelyn's life. She had the support needed to make her life move forward in to something better. Wi

This was a brilliant, fast read, and I really enjoyed it. I saw the blurb and liked that it was very real, with people who weren’t perfect and were just looking to find what was right for them, after experiencing enough life to have found a few things, and people, that were wrong for them.

It flows nicely, and doesn’t really throw and tricks or turns at you, but there is a lot to love about the real, predictable nature of the story. It is easy to imagine the whole thing happening in real life, wh

"Type Dirty to Me" by Roxanne D. Howard follows recently divorced Madelyn as she makes a new start in life, including opening a bookstore/coffee café, complicated by a famous neighbor who is interested in her but also going through his own trials post-divorce, as well an online friend who is pushing for more intimacy than she’s ready for. Then there are those threats she’s receiving…

I guess I was expecting something DIRTIER or perhaps much steamier in this novella but my expectations were unfulfilled.

It was quite subdued and tad bit misleading after reading the blurb and expecting some RAUNCHY and breathtaking hookup scenes but it was a contemporary instant love and sex story with not much depth. I was just sighing out of boredom.

Predictable plot with some implausible happenings , still might be your sexy BEDTIME story, I would give it a pass.

However I did like some things

Type Dirty to Me by Roxanne D. Howard was a great 5 star read.

After 20 years of a not so great marriage Madelyn is moving forward. She has gotten a divorce and is finally following her dream. She has also been chatting with Easton216 online, she met him by accident and they have gotten to know each other but never in person. Madelyn also meets her new neighbor and he’s hot, charming and when she finds out who he is she’s not sure what to think. As they get to know each other Madelyn also continue

The premise of the book was so refreshing. I feel like the romance genre was missing variety so this book is a breath of fresh air. Plus it's also written really well.

This book is amusing, humorous, charming, intriguing, captivating, and satisfying!!

This book is fast paced with strong, forward-focused dialogue, and well-developed, complex, and motivated characters. Each character felt easily recognizable in the story dialogue as their established character profile and character traits stood out.

This book was such a fun, enjoyable read that I could not put down!!

I really liked that this book was able to encompass a fun, seductive, sexy, playful

Thanks to NetGalley for offering me the opportunity to review this book.

This was just okay. I enjoyed the romance between the two characters. However, I had the following grievances that took me out of their love story:

- The dialogue, in general, was stilted and awkward. I cringed at times with how weird certain things were stated especially the flirty banter between Madelyn and Brem.

- The first romantic conflict between the two had so many holes it was plain ridiculous. None of it made any sen

Brem Lockwood likes knowing that he can have a conversation with almost anyone. He is really good with people but isn't as smooth with his choice in women. He finds temporary situations because he doesn't like confrontation and he wants to be attracted to the person so he can't seem to attract meaningful deep relationships.

Madelyn Stacilli is newly divorced and glad to have a great support system. It wasn't easy to divorce someone who knew how to intimidate her so easily. Yet she's free. Now wha

I liked this book, although it did wind up being what I thought it would be. There were some surprises though. Madelyn just got divorced after 20 years with an emotionally abusive husband. She’s been having an on line friendship with a man for a month. She then meets Brem, an actor, and neighbor and they hit it off. She goes back and forth between feeling ok with having feelings for both men and feeling like she betraying them. She decides to go one way and see how things pan out.

Madelyn is an aspiring author who is starting over after her divorce. She is opening a book store. She has an online friend, Easton216, and a handsome, actor neighbour, Brem. Does she choose her online friend, or her neighbour, or is there another option. That’s one mystery. The second mystery to solve is finding out who is sending her threatening letters, a business neighbour, or Brem’s ex-wife. I enjoyed Madelyn’s relationships with her son, Josh, and her best friend, Viv. The story was well-t ...more

This is a second chance romance between divorcee Madelyn and actor Brem. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. These two likeable souls and the unconventional plot make for an enjoyable read. It is quite refreshing to read the push and pull and ups and downs in their relationship. It is a quick read with drama and humor, along with passion and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested.

This is the story of Madelynn, who is newly divorced after twenty years of marriage and opens a bookstore as her occupation, and Brem Lockwood, a famous actor who is attracted to her, and a third character known as Easton 216 who is her online love. Madelynn is not sure who to choose, Brem or Easton 216, but her life becomes confusing when she begins to get malicious notes. This is a unique romance and keeps your reading attention.

Madelyn is divorced and she’s moving on. The story has Madelyn typing to a person, Easton 216, on the internet to vent whats on her soul. With all drama to unfold we also have the super handsome in person Bremonda, a British actor that she has a thing going on with. Now for the hard part, who will she pick?

Madelyn moved to New Haven to start over after her divorce. In New Haven she meets Brem her sexy new neighbor. Madelyn is torn between her new relationship with Brem and her online relationship with Easton 216 but determined to have a fresh start. This story is about a woman and her trials and tribulations in life, love, relationships and getting her HEA. The writing is great, the characters are likable and the ending is perfect. This book held so much emotion and growing for both main characters. We read from the heroine's side and watched as she struggled with each decision and how it went against her previous experience with emotional abuse. Add in a bit of excitement with crazy letters and how that plays out. I thought it was a great story overall. The romance between the characters, the text/online romance was sweet and it was nice to see the happy ending. #typedirtytome #netgalley ...more

I loved the plot of this story A LOT!!!

I felt so bad for Madelyn and wanted everything for her! I was totally invested!

Easton 216 and Bremond both gave her different things. Can she have both? Does she want both?

I enjoyed this book so much, I didn't want it to end!

I received an advanced reader copy, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
