The Eagle Stone that is needed for the coronation of the new king in the kingdom of Milat has been stolen.
Lady Sara Raglan, adventuress is confronted on the peak of Snowdon by her enemy Jacques who believes that she possesses the stone. He meanwhile has been paid to retrieve it.
A somewhat fact paced Victorian novella story, which I think would have been improved by having more background information and moving at a slower pace. But overall an enjoyable story
