Beth Everett loves romance—as long as she can experience it vicariously through romcoms, Hallmark movies, and books. She has a perfect life—a job she loves in the town where she grew up, the world’s cutest dog, and great friends she can count on. If her life was a movie, she would absolutely fall in love with her best friend Jamie. But it’s not. So, she really wishes they could get past that one kiss. Not that they’ve talked about it since it happened. Still, it’s caused ripples on the surface of Beth’s perfect life, and she just wants everything to go back to the way it was before. Everything’s changing, and Beth has to figure out if the perfect life she planned has room enough for love. Deep in the Heart of Madison is the third book in the Heart of Madison series.
Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Beth and Jamie were absolute favorites of mine. Plus Mr Darcy (her dog) was just so damn adorable, also because of his name.
Although Beth and Jamie are opposites - she's a romantic, he's more logical minded - they are both so similar in how they care for the people they love, both passionate about what they do, and feeling with all their heart and soul.
Although their story started with a kiss, their epic journey was so much more than that. As they get to know each other (and get jealous about each other's dates), you can see how they are so meant to be for each other - its inevitable. And with the help of their friends, Seth, Keeley, Lindy, Libby, Dean and others, this couple cannot fight the magic and romance that is simmering hotly and emotionally between them.
I enjoyed being with them every step of the way and could only wish to stay in Madison longer. Ugh, it made me want to move so bad, honestly.
I do hope I get to read further works of this author when I eventually get my hands on them.
I have to say that Madison seems to be an idyllic town that maybe I should live in because I'm nowhere as sweet as these folks but could probably use some of their sunshine in my life. Beth is all about romance through Hallmark movies (I don't see it but that's just me), and books ( I do tend to live in those). She feels like she has the perfect life with her job, a fur baby, and her friends. However, she has a best friend named Jamie, who she kissed which has added some complications to her life since she can't stop thinking about it but wants to hit rewind. Though they're perfect on paper, she's not sure it's worth upending her life with love, which I don't blame her for since they haven't been brave enough to talk about what it (if anything) means. However, when fate is involved, well, it's just a matter of time no matter how much people buck the system. So, hit those one click buttons to see how it all panned out as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Jamie and Beth’s story. Beth grew up in Madison, and she loves everything about romance, and is content in her life with a job she loves, great friends, and a fur baby she adores. Beth and Jamie have been best friends forever, and one kiss changed the dynamics of their friendship, and they have an added complication that they never mention it. This is another amazing addition to this great series, and is an endearing, enjoyable, and with love, and friendships, which all leads to an entertaining read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
