This is first book that I have read by this author even though is a short read it was enjoyable.
Rebecca and Raymond were high school sweet hearts and the mostly likely couple to marry.

Rebecca leaves her small-town home to attend college in the big city and lands a marketing job and stays away for two years; except for an occasional home visits to see her mom. Raymond and Rebecca communicate often. All of a sudden Raymond’s texts go unanswered by Rebecca because she believes that Raymond never l

Raymond and Rebecca were high school sweethearts that parted ways. She went to the city to pursue college and her dreams. Raymond became angry that she went away but he never told her about his feelings for her or them. Their lack of communication drove a wedge between them and now it seems impossible to talk. Rebecca has grown homesick and has moved back. One of her first stops was to the ice cream shop. Raymond was still cold towards her and he is dating some one else. Has Rebecca lost her cha ...more

This is my first time reading something by this author and I really enjoyed it. Years ago Rebecca walked out on Ray and broke his heart. Now she is back, and regrets her past decision, but Ray is with someone else now and not so quick to go back to Rebecca. This story caught my attention from the start and I became invested in Ray and Rebecca's story. The character development was great and they had endearing and relatable qualities. The storyline was well-written and I was engaged all the way t ...more

Rebecca returns home hoping to rekindle her relationship with the only man she ever loved. Upon her return she is devastated to hear the gossip that Raymond has a fiance. She reluctantly agrees to help Raymond save his family business.

I loved the premise of this book. The characters are great and I was rooting for them to get together. I felt that the ending came too fast and was too easy of a wrap up the the story. The story is perfect if you are looking for a quick read.

I was drawn to this book by the title and its cover art. Not to mention, the synopsis pulled me in even further. A romance novel about two former high school sweethearts who are their towns prom king and queen but eventually part ways after believing for each of their own reasons that the love just wasn’t there.

After leaving California for several years to pursue a career and build a life for herself, Rebecca is returning with the hopes of rekindling a romance and relationship with the love of

Sometimes the hardest risk to take is to risk your heart again to someone who in the past did not embrace what you offered. Rebecca walked away to pursue what she wanted but returns to someone she realizes the value of being with. Ray was left behind and is not sure he wants to turn his back on his current partner to go back to the one who got away. Good story with lots to consider.

A fresh new voice for me. I thoroughly enjoyed Dalia Dupris's novella.
It's a short and sweet second chance romance that really brings the heart and swoons.
Dalia does a great job of highlighting not only both characters, their pasts, and their presents... but she highlights them as a couple in the perfect way that makes you root for them.

Needless to say, the meeting was shorter than expected. Raymond still held hard feelings towards Rebecca for leaving and ignoring his attempts to communicate.

Rebecca was upset when she found out he had a girlfriend and was engaged. She tried to appear unbothered by his relationship.

What a beautifully done romance. Second chance romances are always a favorite of mine. I like that we get two stories almost… past and present.
I really liked the flow of this novel. It felt very smooth. The romance builds in a believable and beautiful way. I felt the connection between these characters in the past and present. I understood their motivations and I was rooting for them. Sometimes people need to grow apart in order to grow together.

This was a quick, entertaining read. It is a romance set in a small town with unrequited love between two adults that began as teenagers. But there are lots of obstacles in the way that prevent them from finding the courage to revisit the flame that began so many years ago. There's a lot of water under the bridge. I loved the plot. I loved the characters and this novella has a satisfying ending. ...more
