Losing her husband at a young age makes Bree certain she’ll never feel that way again. There’s no way to replace Kevin and she doesn’t need to. She has fantastic friends and Kevin’s brother-by-heart, Hollywood A-lister Marco DeLucca.
Losing Kevin means losing the only family he has left, and Marco is adrift…except for Bree, his anchor in a crazy storm. His life has always been upside down, while she’s always been steady and stable. When he begins to develop feelings for her that go far beyond friendship, the only recourse is to fight them.
Or is it?
Bree needs to know, is Marco an affair she’s having to make up for losing her husband? Or could she have found real love a second time around? Is she just a comfort to Marco when he’s lost everything, too?
Bree and Marco have to navigate the rocky road of trusting in an uncertain future. Their story will sweep you up and pull you under. This fourth installment in the Against All Odds series can be read as a standalone and is perfect for fans of Kristan Higgins and Danielle Steel. When love isn’t supposed to be in the cards, how far are you willing to go?

What should I say? I really liked the other 2 books of this series and this was ok compared to the others. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I was interested to see how the author would solve the love story between Bree and Marco. Bree lost her beloved husband and Marco lost his best friend. While they are trying to get back to their old lives, they also need to find to each other. The beginning felt too rushed. Even though it was great to see that the author was not wasting any time and the characters were not chasing each other in never-ending circles, there seemed to be too less moments showing the deep relationship between Bree, Kevin and Marco. Like in actual scenes and flashback moments and so on. What I liked though was how emotional and sensitive the author was with the feelings of Bree and Marco. It could be a bit controversial but it showed that love is possible in many different forms and can find its home everywhere.

The storyline hooked me from the start it’s well written and flowed easily throughout the pages. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry.

Kevin, her husband had been killed in a road traffic accident, Bree Walter's life was finished, she had resorted to taking Valium to escape the pain.
Marco DuLucca, an Italian film heartthrob had been best friends with both Kevin and Bree, Kevin had been more than a brother to Marco and his parents had welcomed Marco into their family and treated him as their son.
Worrying at the state of his friend, Marco had moved into the home that had been Bree and Kevin's love nest to take care of her. Marco was so worried that Bree would do something stupid when he wasn't there that he arranged a job for her as EMT on the film that he was shooting so that she would be with him on location.
Marco was even more determined to look after his best friend's wife when she found that she was pregnant with a child that Kevin would never see.
As time went by Sean was born and it was obvious from the start that Marco was besotted with him .Gradually Bree's love for Marco as a friend changed, Marco's didn't need to change, he loved Bree passionately but they were both pulled in different directions, Bree felt as though she was cheating on Kevin and that she could never compete with the beautiful stars that Marco kissed on screen, Marco thought that he would always be second best .
This is a long, very emotional story of two people trying desperately to get their lives back on track without the insecurities and jealousies that plagued then, a very enjoyable read

Bree Walter becomes a widow one night when her husband (Kevin) dies from an accident. Bree is a mess. She is depressed and not leaving her bed. Bree’s and Kevin’s best friend Marco takes a break from being a famous Hollywood actor, to take care of Bree after his friend’s funeral. Soon, Bree is out of bed and back to normal. Marco's feelings of friendship begin to be something more for Bree when Marco takes Bree to a film shoot in another country. But will Marco ever act on the deeper feelings when Bree still mourns his best friend?
I liked this book. I loved the slow burn and the character's development. The reader sees the characters personalities and feelings change as they fall in love in real-time. It is heavy with character development and Introspection. Misunderstandings keep them apart for a long while until the truth, finally, reveals itself for a HEA. All I love I enjoyed this beautifully woven love story about heartbreaking loss, friendship, and a second chance at true love. This is the first book I've read by this author. I'm so glad I found her here at Booksirens.com. I will be looking for her books in the future. I received a complimentary copy of this book from BookSirens.com and the author. "Marco was what she needed, and something about that nagged at the back of her brain."
Bree and Marco! This book was everything! The summary of this book gave away what would happen in book three. I made the mistake of reading book three and four's summaries before reading book three but I still loved this book.
Bree and Marco's story was so good. I loved their personal battles over everything and how they came together. There were a few moments that I thought, I knew it but I still enjoyed all the ups and downs.

This was an amazing series of 3 friends who stuck together through various emotional traumas in each of their lives. In this the last book of the series Bree fights with her emotions about having feelings for her deceased husbands best friend. Throughout this book you are run through so many emotions, some happy, some tearful. A great series to read and enjoy.
Savannah Kade does it again, this time with a great story of overcoming loss and finding new love. Moving on and letting go isn't easy, so there are plenty of bumps in the road but Bree and Marco struggle through the process together as they fall in love themselves.
