***5 STARS***

Steam: 4/5

I am soooo glad I double backed and read this one on my TBR list. It truly touched my heart.

This is the beautiful story of Logan and Charlotte. Charlotte is stuck in a dead end and stressful job. She works for her father’s investment company and she detests it. The only solace she gets is in her wait for the subway when a beautiful man is busking in the station. His voice soothes her and the words he sings relaxes her. She sits and soaks in his music and imagines he is singing only to her.

Logan sees the beautiful woman everyday when he plays his guitar and sings by the train. He can tell she is beat down and he sings just for her. He pours himself into every song hoping that it brings her some happiness. Then one day he introduces himself and the rest is history.

I absolutely loved Logan. He was an affectionate and caring alpha who had no problem in expressing himself and his feelings. He wanted Charlotte and he wooed her in the sweetest ways. He shows her a different side of life...the simple life and shows her true happiness. He shows her what true love is. I loved Logan for healing Charlotte.

This is a standalone NA romance that features insta love. It was so beautifully written that it touched my soul. I loved experiencing their relationship and boy was this book steamy hot. This couple had off the charts chemistry. This book captured me from page one and didn’t let go until the final words...I was totally engrossed. Melanie Moreland craftily wrote this romance showing her talent. If this story doesn’t touch you..I don’t know what will.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this one.

Heart Strings is a stand alone romance by Melanie Moreland. This is the story of a woman so alone, barely getting through the day and a man, a stranger, who saw her, who knew he had to help her.

Charlotte (Lottie) Prescott is twenty six years old and works for her father at Prescott, Inc., which is an investment company. Lottie is barely getting through her days. She works long hours at a job she hates, for a father she will never please. The weight of it all is becoming too much to bear. Somehow she continues to trudge through each day. Because she knows what is waiting for her at the end of it. In the subway station where she exits to go home, he is always there, playing guitar and singing in a voice that calms her, that eases the weight of the day, that brings her peace.

When Montgomery Logan first saw the beautiful woman in the subway station, when he saw the pain in her eyes, he was drawn to her. His music seemed to ease her so he made sure he was always there. Suddenly, making her feel better was the most important thing in the world to him.

“I knew I could no longer simply be the voice and song in the background. Her eyes told me she needed me to be more than that. I needed to be more than that.”

“Lost and seeking. I wanted to be what she was looking for. I wanted to show her she wasn’t lost, and I was there for her.”

When Logan and Lottie finally actually meet, the connection between them which has been forming for weeks when Logan played for her, was immediate and strong. Logan was everything Lottie needed. He was protective, loving, and attentive. He made her feel seen, feel beautiful, feel wanted. He quieted her mind and gave her strength.

“When I’m with him, it’s as if the world revolves around him. And he surrounds me.”

As the bond strengthens between these two, they also slowly get to know each other’s worlds. With their busy lives, it’s a struggle to find ways to fit in time with each other. Their lives are changing, especially Logan’s. I loved the way that no matter what the day had in store, they still found a way to be there for each other. Logan took such good care of Lottie, did so many little things to care for her, make sure she felt how much he cared every single day.

If you enjoy a romance with a hero that is an alpha, protective, caring, sexy man who will do absolutely anything for the woman he loves, then this is for you. Logan made me fall in love with him before the end of the first chapter. And Lottie broke my heart. She was living the way she thought she had to until a man came into her life that showed her what happiness truly was. Who showed her a future she never dreamed was possible. And prepare for the sexy times. Because this book is HOT! Logan holds nothing back and Lottie has no problem keeping up with him.

🌹S

I loved every word of this book. The last twenty percent made my eyes water, in a happy way. You will get all the sighs and swoons you can handle with this one. Once again, Melanie Moreland has written a beautiful story that has made my heart grow just a little bit bigger.

“My Logan.”

I knew right then, I was in love with Montgomery Logan. Every single side of him, I adored. And I wanted to keep him.

LORD. THAT COVER THO. I admit that was basically my only reason for picking up this book. Don't judge.

Heart Strings has been such a delightful surprise. I’ve always heard amazing things about Melanie Moreland but never had the chance to read any of her books. So yes, this was my first book from hers and now I can assure you this will not be my last. Melanie Moreland knows how to pack a punch; she brings the heat and emotions like no one else. She is a soul whisperer, she directly talks to your heart, pushing out your mixed emotions, healing your wounded feelings gently, making you whole again. Melanie’s writing is outstanding and it kept me completely gripped to the story from start to finish. She created this wonderful and loving relationship between Logan and Lottie that painfully reminded me of my single status.

I felt safe in his embrace. As if I had found my home. I knew that was ridiculous. I barely knew him. And yet—it was true.

This was way cuter and sweeter than I thought it would be with that cover. There was something so pure about this romance – in the way both Logan and Lottie were so steadfast in their feelings. The chemistry between them was scorching. But even with Lottie's parents being against their relationship & wanting them to fail; they make sense, they’re meant to be together. Logan was the highlight of this book for me, he is definitely not your typical sexy rockstar, although he does have long dark hair, abs and a body to die for. Underneath all of that though, is a sensitive, caring man who simply wanted the best for his Snow Queen. It was so refreshing. There is no push or pull, no unnecessary OM or OW drama - just passion and heartbreak and love.

He was the only thing I lived for these days. Even if he didn’t know.

This is not a book that has changed my life in any way or that I will remember it as time goes by. Seriously, I can't even say that it will be one of my favourite books because it will probably be not. But it was highly entertaining, Heart Strings grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go till the end. The characters are amazing and the story flows so smoothly that you just have to finish it in one sitting. The writing was so real. This author had a way of describing things that put you 'right there' in the moment seeing everything play out in front of your eyes.

He lowered his head and kissed me. It was long, deep, and soul-shattering. It set my heart soaring, elated and calmed me, all at once.

Here's what really and truly made this book GOLD to me. The characters were just so functional! Never once did I want to throttle anyone or throw my kindle at the wall. Because trust me, when I say I've committed a lot of *murders* in my head, I'm not lying. There's nothing worse than wanting to kill the person who was supposed to be your new book boyfriend.

She leaned forward, and our lips met over the guitar that brought her to me. The one I played for her that helped heal her soul. So she, in turn, could heal mine. I sat back and gazed at the center of my world. My wife, my son, my music. My heart strings.

Favorite scene:

“Stop.”
“What?”
“Looking at me like that.”
“How am I looking at you?” he asked, a smile curling his lips, a repeat of the last time he’d asked me that question.
“As if you don’t know.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, Lottie. I’m simply looking at you. I like looking at you.”
“You’re all smoldery.”
“Smoldery? As a teacher, I gotta tell you—there isn’t such a word.”
“There is. It’s my word. And you are. All smoldery and sexy, with that wicked look on your face.”
His smile became a smirk, and he bent lower, his breath washing over my face. “Wicked look?”
I decided to shock him. “The one that says ‘You’re gonna let me fuck your ass one day, baby.’”
His eyebrows shot up. “My face says that!?”
I smacked his chest. “Sometimes it does.”
He placed his lips against my ear. “And will you let me, Lottie?”
“Maybe,” I breathed out.
“I’ll take that as another rain check.”
“Whatever.”
He kissed my neck, nibbling on the skin. “Trust me, Lottie. When I claim your ass, whatever isn’t the word you’re going to be screaming out.”

It’s not your typical rockstar romance and that alone makes it special. It's a deeply emotional love story full of angst, drama, heartache, and undeniable chemistry that will capture your heart.

Phenomenal is the best word to describe this author and her work. This book was everything. It spoke to me on so many levels. I felt every feeling while I was reading this. The last 20% I struggled to finish because my emotions were so high. I had to put the book aside to get ahold of myself. And that's totally personal, because I could relate so much to the storyline.
This is a simple story of two simple people falling in love. They felt something for one another before they even officially met. And once they did, it was effortless. They loved beautifully. They faced every issue head on, together. They battled each other's demons, together. A legit love story, and I loved every word. 5 stars

How can I convey in words how much this book touched my heart?

“Heart Strings” is an epic love story and had me in tears before I even finished the first chapter.

Lottie and Logan are magical.

Their connection the most beautiful one I have read in a very long time, perhaps, ever. There is something so brutally honest about them. They are both broken in different ways and find comfort and strength in the other person, before even knowing them. Again - magical.

I was torn apart and put back together again, time and time again and when I realized how special their relationship would be and how utterly beautiful it would become - I was mesmerized.

Lottie and Logan own prime real estate in my heart and I don’t think I will come across another book couple who will take their place.

They.Own.It.

Heart Strings by Melanie Moreland is hands down my Top Romance Read of 2020 and I will go one further: It is my Number 1 read EVER.

TBR this fantastic book, keep a box of tissues handy and be prepared to lose yourself in the pages of it.

This book will sing to your heart - Heart Strings gets the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval. Enjoy.

First, a word of advice – don’t put your eye makeup on when you’re going to read this book. And a note to the publisher, this book should come with a little package of tissues. It is no secret that I am a big fan of Melanie Moreland’s writing. Well, Heart Strings is one of her very best. It contains laughter, smiles, sad tears, happy tears, loss, friendship, anxiety, stress, food, snow, love and romance. Oh, and enough passion to set off your smoke detector.

Logan, the hero, really sets a new gold standard for book boyfriends. He’s unconventional in that he doesn’t care what people think about his life choices. He lives according to the dictates of his own heart and soul. Logan is well-educated, talented, thoughtful and considerate, but also a growly, dirty-talking Alpha at all the right times. Lottie, the heroine, is also well educated and talented, but she is living somebody else’s life in a fruitless effort to please her parents. When Logan looks at her, his eyes see past her beautiful exterior to recognize the sadness in her gaze that reflects the loneliness in her heart. They are strangers, so he speaks to her through his music, which is truly the language of love.

Avoid spoilers for this book! It is so beautifully written and perfectly paced that you just have to trust the author to bring you through it – because she does. Exquisitely. There is a wonderful HEA, and an epilogue that will totally make your heart happy. So, get your tissues, block out some quiet time, and jump into this book. A great love story makes every day better.

'Heart Strings' is just a beautiful, beautiful love story! if you believe in God you would believe that he picked Logan for Lottie from the moment they were born. Two people from different up bringing - hers of money he having to practically bring himself up along. But both seeking love and affection.

Just sit back and enjoy and believe that this book is worth the 5* I have given it! A romance book for the true romance believers amongst us!
"But without you, I never would have been heard. You, Lottie, are the key to everything good in my life"

Lottie hates working for her father - but ever since her brother died Lottie has done everything she can to live up to the life her father had mapped out for his only son. But Lottie hates it her passion is baking but everyday she goes to work and pushes herself that extra mile hoping that her father will be proud and in her eyes not wishing it was her that had died. Lottie's only comfortable is the man she hears singing and playing ever night at the subway.
'His voice wrapped around me like a lover's embrace. I felt warm, soothed and my body eased for the first time'

From the moment Logan caught the eyes of the beautiful girl across the platform and saw the pain and sadness he plays for her and her alone. The first night Lottie heard him play he wasn't doing it for the money it was just while he waited for his train but now every night he is there waiting for her to sing to her and take away some of the loneliness he can feel.

The two were always meant to meet and when Lottie falls asleep on the bench at the station Logan is there to watch over her and from then on the love story blossom's of cause Lottie and Logan will have to deal with her father but that is just a small part of they beautiful love story.

This was my first book by Melanie Moreland and it won’t be my last! Such a sweet romantic book that had one of the best meet cutes. Charlotte and Logan meet on the subway, but it’s not as simple as that. It seems as though they’re from two different worlds, but they are meant to be. I adored this read. Yes, it was a bit insta-lovey but I didn’t care one bit. Logan was perfect, Lottie was great, and the book as a whole left me with a big smile on my face.

I am not exaggerating one bit when I say that Heart Strings resonated deep in my soul. This beautiful love story has so many layers; it’s page after page of life, loss, forgiveness, friendship, family, and finding the one who makes your heart sing.

As soon as I finish a book, I generally start another, but not this time. I am going to let Heart Strings live in me a little while longer. This book is a gift that needs to be shared. It’s the tale of how two people meet by chance (my favorite), and are drawn together without ever speaking a word.

Charlotte “Lottie” Prescott is a 26-year-old smart, independent, hardworking woman in a demanding job that she only remains in due to family obligations. It’s not her dream. Her dreams died years ago when she buried her big brother and she longs for the love and support of her parents. She takes the subway home each day, despite the protests of her father who also is her boss, and it is there that she hears Montgomery Logan singing for the first time. They are strangers who only cross paths a few minutes each day, and yet he somehow knows that it’s just what this beautiful, graceful woman with the sad eyes needs.

Logan may seem like the bad boy with his guitar, long wavy hair, tattoos, and leather cuffs, but let me tell you, he is one of the sweetest, sexiest, swooniest, book boyfriends I have ever read. Even Lottie’s own mother thought he was dreamy! He is all in from the first moment they spoke until they very last page. He is honest and real, not pretentious, loyal and true, not bitter even though life has not always been good to him, optimistic, and so protective and considerate showing Lottie how very special she is and that she can always lean on him. I swooned every time he would meet her getting off the subway “just because,” and how she learned to relax, have a more balanced life, and rethink her career goals, all because of him.

So many sweet moments are in this book and I swear the author grew up in a romance filled snow globe because her heroes are the type of men us single ladies wish we could meet in real life. There are also plenty of tears as they open up about their past as well as the pain of being judged and not accepted for who they are.

What I also love about Melanie’s books are all of the details...from the description of the snow being light and diaphanous (I love learning new words), to the restaurants they visited, the behind the scenes of the music industry, and her love of baking, you become totally engrossed in their world. You feel all of their pain and heartache, as well as their joy and all of their smoking hot chemistry. Melanie can sure write some love scenes! Lottie wasn’t lonely or sad after a few romps with Logan! That girl was smiling ear to ear.

Lottie loved Logan fiercely and trusted him completely. I love how they didn’t play games, could tell each other how they were feeling, and just watching their relationship progress page after page. I loved how her parents weren’t perfect, but were able to grow emotionally and make amends, and all of their friends who were supporting characters.

Although I wanted Heart Strings to last forever, I knew it couldn’t. The last few chapters were so poignant and hopeful and I couldn’t help but smile through teary eyes as I finished my favorite read of 2020.

I loved Logan and Lottie when we met them in What The Heart Wants anthology.
I loved reading 'what happens next' in the Bedtime Stories on Book+Main. 🔥

I had no idea how their story would be more.

Never doubt the power of the storyteller to give you an unexpected story that will touch your heart and deliver a wonderful HEA.

It seems as readers we are attracted to one 'type' in our heroes. I will admit I tend to follow that stereotype. I love a possessive, protective alpha type. However, what if the author wraps him up in an unassuming package. Soft-spoken, not high powered or other alpha typical job. What about a songwriter who wants to bring a few moments of light to the girl with the weight of the world on her shoulders. That's Logan. He is tender and caring. He is watchful and patient. But wake up his protective side, and he is there for it.

Lottie is not the typical heroine needing to be saved. She's stuck in a situation where she feels she wants to do the right thing. She's not meek - she's lost her family and doesn't want to add to the stress by making what she sees as selfish demands. Meeting Logan opens her up to the possibility of something different. The view of voicing her opinion and wants to have others see her.

I love the dynamic two people coming from two different lives and experiences and finding love together. The story flowed and spilled over in all the spot of my heart. Every Lottie deserves a Logan.

I recommend you buy the story as this will be a standalone to read over and over again.

I loved this book! Melanie Moreland has a way with bringing opposites together. Lottie and Logan were destined for each other. I loved the way Logan pursued Lottie. She really needed a man like him in her life. He took care of her and gave her what she was missing.

Melanie Moreland has taken my breath away with this story.
I started this book at 2am Sunday morning and finished at 1:30am Monday morning.

The loneliness that comes from unresolved grief and the overwhelming love felt when someone makes you feel worthy of living again.

That is the story of Logan and Lottie.

This story is so honest and pure that you can't not be moved. Logan shares his passion for life and living after loosing someone to the stress that is living pay check to pay check to support your family.

Lottie shows her devotion to family by swallowing her guilt and taking up the position that she thought would bring her family back together.

A quick nap changes everything. Introductions are made, cheeseburgers are had, small touches, stolen kisses, passionate embraces well! I know you want more, well so what's stopping you get this book.

Because if this phenomenal love story doesn't have you laughing, crying, angry, or happy you might need to seek help of some kind.

However the steamy s🔥x scenes will definitely leave you either feeling satisfied or ready for more.

I just read this book in one night!

Logan and Lottie's story are one of the most romantic, delicate that I have read in the recent months.

You will be reading it like a soft guitar playing because the words follow a rhythm that it looks like a melody.

Their story is beautiful and with lots of sexy scenes, but in the end their love is so strong and romantic.

They meet by chance in the subway in a moment that Lottie is facing a lot of hurt and doubts in her life. Logan senses her troubles and decides to play his guitar each night expecting her. It is the start of a beautiful, really beautifull love story.

I loved it!

Once you start reading Heart Strings you will instantly fall in love with it. I am not sure that my words are enough for how great this novel is. Logan and Charlotte are a match made in heaven. Their meeting by chance, but Logan is just what Charlotte needs. He will turns her world upside down, and they find a earth shattering love one that everyone dreams of.

Melanie Moreland has done it again, and if I could give 10 stars I would.

I just couldn't go where this one was going. At 15%, my credulity is strained to breaking. They've been looking at each other for weeks, communicating silently, but on a soul-deep level so that Logan knows her. He gets her. He has, essentially, the key to her soul!

And if that weren't hard enough to get past, she's busy wearing out her life trying to live up to the ghost of a dead brother for reason that are entirely in her head. Like, she imagines that her parents will actually love her if she warps herself into the idealized image in her head of what her brother would have been. And she actually articulates it in so many words in her head.

So apparently I'm using up my italic allotment early this year. But at least I'm putting this one down before wasting any more time on a story I'm rolling my eyes at.

Like the perfect symphony written in musical notes, the characters in this story could not have been written any better and the intertwining of their lives was yet another masterpiece written by Melanie Moreland. Lottie and Logan have an instant connection but one that is completely misunderstood, but through his music the best of each is brought to the forefront and made for a heart warming true love story. There is no fluff or pomp and circumstance within the chapters, but just honest emotions and a love story that needed to be told. The reader will come away from this book with love in their heart. 5 Stars are not enough!!

This story is why I love Melanie Moreland's books. I have been going through a hard patch in life and these books take me to another place with wonderful characters.

Lottie blames herself for her brother's death because she feels like she could not save him, so she immerses herself in the family business. The only good thing in her life right now is the musician that sings while waiting for the train. Logan is a part time musician while taking the train he sees a beautiful girl that looks like the world is on her shoulder so he sings her a song, realizing his songs bring the light back into her eyes he is there almost every night making her light come back. After a very stressful day Lottie sits and listens to the music while listening she falls asleep. Logan watches the girls sleeping until she wakes up. He invites her to dinner and attempts to wipe some of the worries out of her eyes. After that night he asks for her to spend the next day with him. That day Lottie starts to realize all the things she has missed. She tries to go back to work like she use to but it just makes her loose herself. After several weeks of being together Lottie has had enough of her job and her father's punishment because he doesn't like Logan. When everything comes to its peak Lottie is the one hurt and Logan will do anything to protect her even from her own family.

4.5 Pulling My Heart Strings Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
I have been new to Melanie Moreland, yes, idiot that I am...Because, this is the second full novel I have read by her and I am sold. Sold on her ability to touch the reader just right if the reader is willing to be caught up in a terrific story. In Heart Strings, she took on more than just a love story, she took on life lessons we all need to heed.

Charlotte Prescott is in a lose-lose situation.
When she looks at the life she is living, she does not see any way to change it. She is the substitute for who her father wanted to be his right hand in the family business, she is invisible in the family that exists now, and the only pleasure she has is when she escapes her stressful day is by reading her books or baking.

Well, that was the case until that one fateful day she came to her home subway stop and there was this man singing while playing guitar and the music took her to another place...a place where she could breathe, where she could release all the stress of the day, and where the man playing gazed into her eyes and found her soul.

From that moment on, Lottie lived to just get through her workday and be on her subway train bringing her to the one place she lived for, the man with the voice, guitar, and the beautiful intense eyes only for her.

When Montgomery Logan looked up from playing in the subway, he locked onto a woman whose pain called out to him. There she was, hiding from everyone but him the pain and sorrow she carried. From the moment he saw her, there was this connection, this need for him to be there for her, to watch over her, and maybe, just maybe be able to lift the pain from her eyes and replace it with joy.

Logan was a man who had lived a life that taught him very hard lessons. He survived them, made a life for himself that proved to him, things, superficial, relationships, and stuff are a waste in his world. He had learned what worked for him and wanted to show Lottie she had the ability to release all the pressures she felt. She deserved more...and if being there in the subway platform for her when she regularly arrived, then he would be there.

These two were tied to each other but never talking until one night, a night that would change everything for them both. It opened the door for Logan to finally have a conversation with Lottie and we are there for this lifechanging moment.

This story will sweep you away. You will fall hard for Logan. Really Hard. He is a man who understands Lottie and shows her what her life could be. He isn't an over the top Alpha Male but a man comfortable in his own skin so that he can listen to her and guide her to see a vision of more. He is supportive and protective.

And he is sexy, dirty talking, swoony, and a man who everyone would want to have in their life. Period.

Lottie is a woman who is very smart, capable, and emotionally lost. Her family was once a healthy unit, and then it wasn't. She seemed to carry the brunt of it and was denied the parental love she once had. Now she was mentally stuck working in the family business in a hostile environment every day.

When she had her first conversation with Logan, the connection was intense and real, a first in such a long time. This man made her feel things want things, and remember what she wanted in the past.

Heart Strings has a flow, the necessary concerns, and a beautiful, satisfying outcome. This is a take me away read...where you can dive in, read from start to finish, and fall hard for these characters. I did.

This book by Melanie Moreland was perfectly titled. My heart strings were tugged on so hard. Logan and Lottie has that type of connection that one could only dream about. They filled each others soul with so much happiness and love. Not only was this an amazing love story that proved that there isn’t a time frame for love but also a second chance to mend relationships. Heart Strings is a feel good, emotional, bring happy tears to your eyes type of read! Outstanding!l This deserves all my heartfelt stars!

Audiobook Review:
This story is pure magic. The magic of music bringing Lottie and Logan together. He is so dreamy and just the perfect book boyfriend. Soft and rugged into one package that Aiden Snow brought to life. The baritone of his voice fit Logan’s character to a tee and the sweet melodic cadence of Maxine Mitchell, as always hit the right in the feels. Another great audio I highly recommend!

What a beautiful story that will completely tug at your heart strings. It reminds us that we need to listen to our heart and see beyond the surface.
Lottie is so unhappy at work but each evening she finds solace in the music of a street musician at the subway station.
Logan is not what he seems to be on first impressions. He is so sweet and protective of Lottie from the very start.

“I won’t be able to walk away. I already know that. I’ll fight to keep you.”
“I need someone to fight for me.”
His eyes softened, but his grip never lessened. “I know.”

I fell in love with this story and these characters right away. They both had to learn that it is ok to dream big and then go for it, that they deserve their happily ever after.

Heart Strings – By Melanie Moreland

A beautiful Princess is losing herself in sorrow and grief and when a carmel eyed guitar player looks into her eyes and sees her soul, he does what every good knight does, and he recues her. Her pain calls to him and his music and his heart answer that call.

When you have ten tissues beside you and your not even through the first chapter you know this book is going to be something special, and it is so very, very special!

Charlotte (Lottie) Prescott is just going through the motions of living. She’s not happy at work, spends as little time as possible with her family and guilt over the past is crushing her spirit. The only thing that keeps her going is that handsome guitar player who always seems to be at her subway stop.

Montgomery Logan, the man who plays the guitar can see her losing her inner battle, he also sees that his playing helps her, calms her, relaxes her, so he makes sure he is there to play “for her” as often as he can.

I still tear up when I think of this story. It gives us a beautiful love story to take to heart. Lottie and Logan are perfect together as any couple could be. It’s like they were both lead down the paths they have taken to find each other and isn’t that what we readers ask for a story of love and how it can grow and change a person for the better.

A writer give us gifts and in Heart Strings Melanie Moreland has given readers the gift of a beautiful story and the wonder of love and what it can do.

The heart wants what the heart wants. Logan and Lottie not only prove this to themselves, but to her parents as well. Lottie’s dad takes a while to come around to liking Logan. Her mom however gave them him a chance and for to know him better. They each had a death that happened in their lives that have effected them and that is one thing that I believe brings them together. Logan is a calming force for Lottie and she is his muse. Through misconceptions they get to know each other and bring out the best in each other.

This book made my heart happy! Opposites attract as Logan and Lottie meet in a subway station, bond over burgers and fall in love in a whirl wind courtship. Logan is the swooniest of heros: sweet, protective, demanding. Lottie is a lost soul who shines after finding the love she so craves.

This book has everything I've come to love about Melanie Moreland's stories: the instant connection, the fun dialog, the steamy scenes, its all here plus a few surprising twists that left me teary eyed. Definitely a must read!!

Perfect title for this heartbreaking, heartwarming standalone story that certainly tugs at your heart strings throughout the book. Oh the feels - Miss Moreland certainly knows how to bring out all the emotions in me, or should I say, wrings out all of my emotions. Just when I think she's written my most favorite couple (Maxx & Charly), she comes along and writes Lottie & Logan and I question which couple is my favorite because I love every single one of them! My heart broke for Lottie and hoped for her HEA because this girl certainly deserves it. And Logan is certainly an alpha with a soft heart -- he took such good care of Lottie in so many ways -- “Lost and seeking. I wanted to be what she was looking for. I wanted to show her she wasn’t lost, and I was there for her.” He was protective, yet domineering, sweet but sexy, caring but strong -- everything Lottie needed. If you're looking for a swoony, sexy romance that makes you cry sad and happy tears, look no further. Melanie Moreland does it every time! Another excellent read by one of my one-click authors.

Oh my ❤! Melanie Moreland! I just finished and my heart is so full! What a melodious story you entranced us with! I felt the same ease and relaxation reading this as Lottie got listening to Logan's music! This was a masterpiece!I

Charlotte (Lottie) is starved for the love that her parents have withheld since the death of her brother. She has shaped her life into everything she thought they would approve of and besides being miserable, she is still invisible to them. The only pleasure she feels is when she hears the handsome busker in the subway station near her home. His voice and music touch her heart and soul and soothe away all the stress and tension of the day, of the week, heck, in her life!

Logan and Lottie are a beautiful symphony together and their music not only heals themselves, but attracts others around them. It brings harmony and strength to Lottie to finally stand up and grasp life with both hands! To live out loud, to laugh, something she hasn't done in a long time. My heart was singing along with Logan as these two navigated uncharted waters. And the Nugget, oh, be still my palpitating heart!

This book is all about the heart, the strings that tie one heart to another, the strings that bind a family together, the strings of a guitar that play the love songs that keep the love flowing in the hearts. It's a perfect love story. A perfect love song.

I’ve read all Melanie’s Books and I think this has gone to the first place in my personal ranking.
From the begging until the end this sweet love story traps you in a way I can’t describe. The way Melanie writes and describes all, teleports you directly to the story, it looks like you are in that train station with your popcorn watching all happen.
Lottie and Logan’s story is a story about love but it’s also a sad story about a heavy lost. I never lived what Lottie had to live but I could feel her sadness and the pain coming from her parents attitude. I connected with her emotions once the beginning.
It was very nice to see her evolution from sad and lost to happy.
The book makes you smile and laugh and sigh and when you finish it you have a big smile in hour face
Definitively you must read this book if you want a happy sweet read.

-His rich, whiskey gaze was intense, soulful, and real. Logan looked at me. He saw me.

I didnt know i would like this book so much!!! plus the cover lord yummy. This was some antsy romance and some steamy moments.  its insta but its slow.. which I loved so be patient when reading. Also been awhile since I rated a 5 star book!!

Polar opposite thats what Logan and Lottie are. Lottie is a workaholic who isn't enjoying her life.. work work work thats all she does to please her father who is also her boss. Each day it feels longer and more trying but her highlight of each day is hearing a musician on the subway play and its the only moment that brings her peace. He's always there always playing for her. And one night she's just to tired she falls asleep on the subway shes lucky that Logan always watches and looks after her. Thats where their journey begins. Before I even start on that let me tell you. I HATED her parents so much like HATE!!! Her father was an asshole who didn't see a daughter he saw a employee and the mother well she wasnt as bad as the dad but she had her moments. There is alot of family drama.

Now let's talk about Logan... Montgomery Logan.. I WANT HIM!! he is a sweet, caring protective and always always worried for Lottie.. he did have a tough life himself father passing away being homeless few times in his life. Now hes more free not letting life and the big man boss him around. Thats what he wants for Lottie to take some time for herself to take a break before she runs herself into the ground.
Their journey is such a great story i cried, smiled and just loved every moment.

Low angst, No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, tiny drama no virgins
