What's not to love about a ghost story set in the misty, swampy bayou, filled with southern magic and mysterious ancestral obligations? A classic Labyrinth of Souls novel. Recommended! ...more

I love the setting of this story-a mysterious, swampy, bayou island. I was drawn in right away, and sad when the book ended, wishing for another volume. The characters are well drawn and have a good arc. There is mystery and magic, and a a dark underworld. A great example of southern gothic. Fun read!Bayou's Lament: A Labyrinth of Souls Novel ...more
