Already at volume 4 but the prose still leaves much to be desired. What this series really has going for it are its world, ideas/concepts, and the characters, that I can forgive writing just a bit-- and all of those are enough to keep me reading and stick through it in the end. And this volume just unraveled so many things that I was able to finish it one sitting because I was eager to find out what's next.

We finally got to know more of Master Flare, how conjurings were made, the scriptures, the Elders, and the true reason why Otherworlders needed to be killed or become Human Errors, and the one that actually made my jaw drop was finding out about the Pure Concept of Light.

Overall this volume had everything what makes Shokei Shoujo great, but sometimes lines like, "The luminous phenomenon was called Guiding Light because it glowed in the darkness." Had me closing the book down and just sigh.

Some interesting twists in this one. I feel like it's finally starting to get interesting as to what's going on in the larger world and how those forces are beginning to become relevant in the little triad that is Menou, Momo, and Akari.

Like #3, this is like a bridging book between #2 and #5. The plot thickens, we discover more about this world's secrets, and Akari's unravelled true intentions are addressed...
A thoroughly fun book to read, even if nothing much in the way of plot happened. Momo and Akari's interactions were absolutely delightful, and we get more Master Flare!
Can't wait to get started on #5.

THE TITLE NAME DROP AT THE END?!?
so this book started out very slow, but in the last third the author got out all the spices and cooked nicely!! I think they now understand how the story is supposed to go. I'm liking it a lot!!
