50 undated devotions in Matthew aimed at teenage boys. There is little out there to engage teenage boys in daily devotions. We hope this engaging study guide will enthuse boys to dig deeper each day into the gospel of Matthew. With the help of Chris Ranson's illustrations, notes and doodles, there's never been a bettertime to dig into Matthew.
What a fun little book. Ranson writes in a way that young minds could read through this and understand what is going on. It is a great resource to read while you walk through Matthew. I would describe it as a simple commentary. The questions he asks at the end of each day help the reader think through what he/she just read. Definitely worth reading and I recommend it to anyone who claims Christ. I'm hoping there are more books like this that walk through other books in the Bible. Maybe Ranson can make a book series if he hasn't already.
This is an original and quirky wee book and I enjoyed reading it with my 13 year old son.
Chris Ranson manages to draw out important gospel truths from each reading without making it too heavy for his target audience. He strikes the difficult balance of incorporating humour without it becoming patronising or irreverent.
It would be great to see Chris write further Bible study books using this refreshing and enjoyable approach.
