My passion in life? Saving animals. I'm the person they call when a cat has kittens under their shed or a stray dog shows up with no collar and tags. Be it dark or rain or foggy night, I'm there for friends of fur, scale, and feather alike.

I just never expected one of my rescue calls to be a werewolf pup.

Not like I knew it when I showed up, but something was definitely different about him. His snout was too round, his ears too pointed, and I'd thought he was a coydog; one of those dog-coyote mixes that showed up now and then.

That was before he bit me. And even an alpha pup can change an innocent mortal like me into a shapeshifting powerhouse.

Flung into a new world where submission might mean death and pack politics rule the secret supernatural society, I'm lost but not alone. With the pup's father, Hudson, and his packmates leading me through this strange environment, I feel as though I could take on the world. They have everything I need; confidence, power, money. And I'm everything they could ever want.

But how do we come to terms with the fact that it feels as if we've always been together? As if we all belong as a group? I haven't been on a date in years, now I have four gorgeous, rich werewolves chasing me.

What's a girl to do?

This book is intended for mature audiences. Adults only. This is a fated mates reverse harem where the girl gets all the guys. Why choose if you don't have to? Light M/M references included.

DNF

DNF at 44%.

I’m sorry, I really am.. but this is a terribly written book.

- Choppy, awkward sentence organization.
- Missing sentences
- Missing transitions. For instance, one chapter ended with FMC falling asleep, but next chapter starts her off being terrified (instead of sleeping).
- Fueled by heat.
- Extremely sexist. Goes beyond “this is how the supe world is”.
- FMC doesn’t want to ask ANY questions because only males were around her. No one mentioned female werewolves to her. I don’t know where she got that idea. She keeps mentioning that she wants answers.. but cant ask because they are male? They are all fueled by lust. Literally. Even though she has weeks until her so called heat.. she is basically in it right now.
- FMC forgets her old life immediately (with a few “oh I miss” old life and all her huge responsibilities). She went from super independent and empowered to meek, stupid and a 180 personality flip.
- Fueled by maternal and alpha instincts.

The main harem alpha’s internal dialogue does the world building - not that he tells her anything. Not that she asks. She is fine cuddling and kissing a stranger because it feels right. I have to mention she basically adopted the alphas kid bc of female maternal instincts. Every time the kid moves she is there suddenly knowing what he needs and wants and doing it because again, maternal instincts.

World building was awkward with lots of plot holes. One unreasonable “bad guy” who wants to kill main harem alpha and take his son for her own. Vague mention of the supernatural community for surely killing FMC with no way out of it.

3.5 rounded up

This was a fairly decent book with an interesting premise, though it was all just a little too fast for me - but that’s what you get when you have a stand alone RH.

I prefer a touch more build, but this would certainly suit those seeking a faster found HEA. The characters are interesting, but it's the son who quite literally steals the show - and makes this heated Reverse Harem a fun read.

Perspective:
First Person, Multiple POV

Ending Type:
HEA

Rating:
Adult Only 18+

Romantic Dynamic:
MMMMF

Character Age Range:
Late 20's+

My Final Verdict on Puppy Love

A fun read, and though not a GREAT one, it still has much to offer for romance lovers. I would like to see more about that Dragon at the end though....

I purchased this book because of the amazing reviews on Amazon and oh boy, they were all right. Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The author describes it all in a way that made my feel like I was on the story! definitely a roller coaster of emotios! I couldn't put this down until I ended. Can't wait for read book two!

DNF around 50%

It's just not my thing. All the characters are utterly 2-dimensional, and it's just a thin prop for sex. The FMC is a normal human, with a deep sense of compassion for animals - she owns and runs (entirely alone) an animal rescue, and pretty much lives in poverty because that's where all her energy and money goes. She's actually a pretty great character for the first 20%.

Then she gets bitten by a werewolf puppy, and everything goes to shit. She becomes utterly vapid, just wanting to have sex with everyone, without a single thought towards what happened, what she is now, what the rules of this world are, who these fucking people are, anything. You get brief moments when she wonders about something, but she doesn't ask and then someone walks towards her and she wants to have sex again.

Bleh.

The guys are just bleh too. They don't seem to give a fuck about anything - not the human world, not their own pack, not anything. The book opens with the alpha losing his TODDLER, and rather than tearing the world apart looking for the kid, he has his pack look into it ... sort of... while he goes to work the next day. And most of them go to work too. Later we find out that Good fucking riddance, I say. Too bad he didn't kill the whole lot of them, fucking narcissisitic, entitled assholes. And you'd think this would have had an impact on them, but it really doesn't. Some in the pack complain about what a "stick" that character has been since And lest you think I'm exaggerating what dicks these werewolves are, one of them waxes poetic about liking to eat babies - baby deer, baby sheep, baby humans, all the same to him, he say.

Nope.

Just nope.

Puppy Mayhem

XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED! Tommy was a puppy. He was trapped, scared and cold. Sadie ran an animal rescue mission, and came to his rescue. Babies and puppies know what they want, but don't understand consequences. So when Tommy bit Sadie, he just knew he wanted to keep her. One bite and her entire world gets turned upside down.

Poorly written

This had almost all of the issues....shoddy world building that was handled via info dump rather than story telling, no character development, no real reason to emotionally invest in the characters and no relationship building. There weren't grammar issues that yanked you out of the story, but the dialogue was stilted and unoriginal. This read like a first book that needs beta readers and a content editor.

DNF 2.5 ⭐️’s For lightweight, younger style readers.

Great premise, potentially fun idea.
But utterly failed to live up to it.

The technical aspect of the writing is good, it’s the story, world building and characters that let it down… not much then 😂

It moves very fast, very simple, with a shallow narrative.
While there is conflict, it’s presented in such a blasé manner, there’s no stress, build-up, or real emotion connected to it.

Just couldn’t get into it.

Would be a good start for a younger, less prolific reader.
Someone looking for something easy to read, without much mental challenge.

Not too young though, the sex starts fairly early on.
I gave up at that point, was just too silly and cringe for me.

I need more depth and a solid world.

It’s not technically bad, just will only suit a very narrow selection of readers.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I hope that there will be more on them since there seems to be more things going on for them.

Munchie Crunchy Babies 😂

Noting more delicious than Munchie Crunchy Babies, well as long as they aren’t human babies... and I suppose that’s only if you’re human and sometimes a few of those humans are questionable... but anywho... this was a good book with a great storyline with good character builds leaving them open for potential other books maybe down the road possibly ;) it’s a good read and a good recommend !

A pretty easy and light read. Our FMC gets bit by an alpha wolf cub and turns into an omega werewolf, but finds herself connected to four, sexy alpha men.

Insta connection and lots of sexual tension along the way, with plenty of scenes for the hanky panky. First of the shifter books to mention actually biological functions of wolf sex... like the knotting... which was I guess an interesting aspect of the book. Wasn’t really sure how I felt about it tbh.

Not a lot of substance here. The characters, especially the men, are pretty one dimensional and have no semblance of depth to them. We sometimes get the POV from them, but even that didn’t help me connect to them as characters.

Everything worked out well in the end for a HEA and the whole climax didn’t really seem to be paid off for how much they were wary about the whole problem.

Anyway, an okay read. Probs wouldn’t really rec to anyone unless they were looking for a light werewolf book.

Loved all the fur babies, including the super hot alphas. A story that tugs at your heart stings. An RH with a HEA

Omega verse shit. And not well written. I had enough at 33%.
She rescues a puppy that is the son of an alpha, the puppy bites her as he likes her for his new mummy. The dad appears. He has other males that used to share the omega that birthed the puppy. He doesn't seem much emotionally invested alongside the others that the mother of their child is dead, they are perfectly happy to continue with a new omega aka her. I'm done.

What to say

It was a pretty good book. It rolled right along. I started getting irritated the last couple chapters. The flow stopped because the story started bouncing around some. I'd recommend it.

The Pack

So this book has some interesting characters and plot twists and turns that are a little different from your typical werewolf story. What I liked most about the book was its familial bond, it's pack. I enjoyed reading this book

Cute easy but lacking depth SPOILERS

I surprisingly liked this book, at first. It started out well getting to know Sadie’s character and personality. Took a bit for the story to kick in, Sadie had disbelief about werewolves, but she adapted. But then things went a bit sideways in the story. See Sadie becomes a wolf, and Lillian, the aunt to the pup, an alpha female, and part of the pack, felt Sadie join the pack....but this is odd, we hear of this pack but throughout the book when they refer to the pack it consists of the guys and Sophie no one else. We don’t meet any other members of the pack. Lillian has a problem with Hudson, and goes after Sophie bc of this? It’s odd. So bc she felt this and figured out that her nephew bit someone, she called a Meet. A Meet is apparently kinda like a tribunal with dragons, unicorns, griffins, and uh big cats. I think that’s it. But the dragons give the ultimate answer. Apparently it’s illegal to turn a human without prior approval and so Lillian is doing this in a bid to get Hudson’s son.

So much happens and also so little. As the story got going more and more events are mentioned but done off page. Why? I would like to see Sophie bonding with them. In our full harem sex scene the entire thing was glossed over, but the problem was the first sex scene was explicit. If you’re going to do one scene explicitly you should do all of them at the beginning that way and then as they go on to the relationship slow it down or gloss over it. But the first time with the whole harem wasn’t cool. It was kind of a letdown.

Then the Meet happens and it’s....anticlimactic. No great battle, everything just works out for Sophie. Suddenly we are 18 months into the future glossing over events, I can’t even tell where she’s telling the story from. She was pregnant? Is pregnant? Then she suddenly has the pups in the next paragraph? I couldn’t tell where we were in the timeline. Suddenly she’s washing dishes too? I just don’t know.

I like the guys they are nice, like I said it’s a cute story. Basically it’s a quick little book, but I could see this going deeper. I wish it was more detailed and less glossed over, less telling, more showing.

Not What I Thought

~My Thoughts~
Truthfully, I thought it was going to focus on another aspect of her trying to balance her rescue shelter with the upcoming change in her life.
~Story~
The story focuses on her, as the first book will tell you a little bit about society and how it's judged. I loved that it didn't end in a cliff hanger. It does change perspectives on who's telling their point of view and each perspective gives the reader a little more inside to the character and the society. I don't want to give away the story itself so I'll just say the journey was not what I expected it to be but wow was the story a twist and turn kind of ride.

This was a cute read. A young woman who runs a rescue finds a puppy but it's a bit wild and he bites her.

Turns out that puppy is a werewolf cub. His dad is an alpha werewolf. He and his other pack members run a dog food company.

We're introduced to other shifter paranormal types and there is a bigger world they are a part of. The drama comes from that little Tommy broke supernatural law when he turned Sadie.

This is an omegaverse reverse harem. If you are looking for a cute fast read, you might enjoy it.

A cute, light hearted read that is a great palate cleansers between the million bully books. Was refreshing to see the group come together easily and sweetly and get their HEA.

It was okay. As a standalone, the world building suffers a bit. And there's some cheesy maternal tropes. But it's an okay, quick read.

Decent story

The story throws the main character into the world almost right away. Plus, there’s an instant connection - in every way - that’s a bit fast. Other than that, it was a good story.

Yay instalove shifter stories! That alpha/omega connection is wonderful and often powerful and I get all the feels when that happens.

Now, this book gets a 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ because while I enjoyed all the feels from the pack connections, this book wasn’t as well written as I had hope it would be. There was very little that allowed me to relate to the guys and even though our girl had a backbone of steel at times, I had trouble relating to her.

I still think it’s worth reading if you like alpha/omega shifter stories however.

Didn't sit right

So, no. Just no. How these characters behave as far as being human? They fall far from the mark, especially the alpha males in this story. Who loses their kid and still shows up to work the next morning, not out actively searching for him? No good parent ever. That alone had me wanting to throw in the towel. Then, it wasn't all that romantic. Everything fell flat, but sure, this story has characters with hearts of gold, but terrible basic human nature skills. I get it, they are werewolves NOT human... but it's just so far from what you would expect how they would behave. The story was also anticlimactic. The perceived threats that are told to the reader culminate in a very flat way. It's like a brush off. Not thoroughly thought out, so it doesn't pass the common sense test. Sigh.
