Whilst well-intentioned, this is not a particularly exciting or engaging book. The problem is that it has five or six different authors and there is no clear argument or discussion throughout. Irritatingly, it doesn't tell you who has written each chapter (except for the index) - a strange editorial decision. The best chapters are those related to real life with some kind of interesting anecdote. The purely theoretical ones don't really take off. Overall, I don't think the experiment succeeded.
