Hubert Reeves nous explique #2

Hubert Reeves nous explique - Tome 2 - La Forêt

Rate this book

FormNorm = A.I. 09/2018 = D.L. 10/2018 = 13,45€ = eo

The only reason that this didn't score ₅* was the point•by•point brevity, that I assume was necessary to abide the series' page limit, which caused confusion sometimes and even glaring omissions of specifics and such within topics. From reading the other two, I'm fairly sure that they would have since they even saved space by asterixing words/terms for a more illuminating explanation in a post->script->dictionary.

Narrative: ****
Most importantly, I learned plenty, that I appreciate tremendously, especially since it's more interesting from being all foreign, besides the pertinent States asides, which I hungerly crave since becoming internationally obsessed! Fireflies, which I can walk through hundreds of on my own property, being rare enough to attract tourists over there was illuminating.

I was also glad that they included enough historical context, to crucially address typically human foibles that could be repeated unknowingly, and cautionary future warnings with the easier-than-it-would-seem solution(s) discussed.

There's a FOREST CITY in China‽ STILL LOST cities @Angkor, Cambodia‽ Amazon->canopy->top->hopping on a huge inflatable dropped from dirigibles‽ Birds that I have here in different colors elsewhere‽ My favorite of such foreign-nature-nuggets was learning about the Japanese term "Forest Bathing" which I pretty much do myself when regularly Eastern Temperate frolicking!

Art: ****
Casanave is ideal for this sort of thing because he excels at people having effervescent fun and even has a tender way of presenting wildlife with conscientiously rendered nature spread that locked my eyes inside the settings beyond reading time. I enjoyed his wise-jolliness-personified representation of Hube the most.

No właśnie.
