Our relationship is taboo.Catherine: My sister's always had it all. Angela is blonde, beautiful, and a total bitch too. Even worse, she's dating handsome quarterback Hunter Brody. It's embarrassing, but sometimes I pretend that I'm my sister when I hear them through the walls. I pretend it's Hunter's hands caressing my curves, and Hunter whispering sweet nothings in my ear. But what happens when he catches me in the act?
Hunter: I never really noticed Catherine because she's always been my girlfriend's invisible little sister. But when I walk in and see the curvy girl writhing, moaning, and screaming my name, suddenly, nothing matters anymore. I'm giving Catherine a baby ... even though our love is taboo.
Hey Readers – It's another scorching tale where a curvy girl gets her revenge by bagging the big man on campus! But Hunter Brody is more than just an athlete. He's a man who adores lush women, and he shows Catherine just how much he loves and appreciates her by giving her a child. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and always an HEA. You'll love the story, I promise! Xoxo, Cassie
The characters are extremely uninformed and irresponsable in so many levels. Their choices, actions and thoughts are brainless, and again, tremendously irresponsable. There is no real romance here, it’s an instant-love kind of situation, and generally, an immature absurdity. There is nothing in the least appealing to me here.
I don't know what this author is thinking. But writing your female lead as a slob who self pleasures to the point that she leaves her juices in her hair to harden and doesn't clean up after is just disgusting. I really couldn't get over it for the rest of the book. And that's that I love secret baby romances. But this book was such a turn off.
I read one awful book by this author and was kind enough to read another. Nope. This is just not for me. All her heroines are stupid af. Not just naive and perhaps foolish, but actually stupid. They do and say the most absurd things. I mean I get these novels are often reliant on suspending our belief, but honestly, does anyone want to read about a dumbass with no self respect?
And this particular heroine was gross to boot - an actual slob who walks around with her lady juices coating her hair. Seriously, WTF. Who wrote this and thought it was romantic, even sexy? Hell no!
This book was Ight! Interesting; I was waiting and see if she would’ve had the baby before he came back and she did.
I was also surprised she forgave her family for disowning her. But heck I understand I mean that is her ex-boyfriend. I also see her sister didn’t become the journalist she wanted to be lol. Turns out she thought she wasn’t going to have a life with Hunter and ended up with a man who made her change her whole face... 🤣😂
All those times she was coming for her sister and look at what happened. Cat might have gotten the end of the stick but in the end, everything turns out good for her in the end!!
Just the blurb in itself is vomit worthy, but when you add what some reviewers have stated, it makes me wonder why this is labeled as a "romance"....
Author needs a new career - or to keep her sick fantasies and "wants" to herself because not one sane person can call this "romance" enjoyable or anything other then the crap that it is!
Their Love Overcomes All Obstacles - I love picking up a new book written by Cassandra Dee, as her writing is really incredible and I can never get enough of it. Catherine had grown up in the shadow of her sister, where her family and her peers were concerned, but she just got on with her life. Hunter was very popular and was dating the most popular girl on campus, but he still felt lonely. One unplanned encounter Hunter and Catherine, sets them on a journey neither of them expected, but lead them to the life together, they both needed. The story grabs you at the beginning, spins you around in the middle as you turn the pages and then lets you off at the end, but leaves you wanting more.
I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have liked this author's work before but this work was complete dumpster juice. It felt like it rushed super fast to push the plump angels and skinny demons narrative in a lot of smut recently. Believe me I like some body positive rhetoric in my smut as much as the next girl but this felt like the opposite. it felt like oh here I am the curvy chick who eats to feel something and gets cum stuck in my hair. Maybe I'm wrong but this story just seriously rubbed me in all the wrong ways.
This review is gonna be short, sweet and straight to the point... with no spoilers.
The characters were interesting and the story had just enough of all the elements to make it a good read. I enjoyed the story line and the author's writing style was very nice. I really enjoyed my first C.D. experience. I look forward to reading another of her stories.
ARC Review For honest review. What a Awesome story of Catherine lauded a curvy girl that's when Hunter Brody quarter back at mesa college and her sister boyfriend takes a interest in her dreams come true.
This was a quick short story about young curvy girl Catherine and her sister's boyfriend Hunter. Having always felt like the ugly duckling and second best to her sister, Catherine fantasies about her sister's boyfriend. Hunter, having just broken up with Catherine's sister is at their apartment to return some things when he sees and hears Catherine moaning his name while pleasuring herself. Being so turned on by the sight he begins to see her in another light and realises she is beautiful and everything opposite of her self absorbed sister so he sets out to seduce her letting her think that he is still with her sister. After being intimate with Hunter Catherine feels guilt and is about to admit what happened to her sister when she finds out that they are broken up. She wants to reach out to Hunter but finds that not only has he left town to join the NFL, she is pregnant with his baby. A year later Hunter is back in town and is determined to get Catherine back as he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her. He finds out about the baby and the torment she endured at the hands of her family and promises to never leave her after which they go on to live their H.E.A.
This book was boring. I don't feel the chemistry between the two characters. After he took her virginity, he moved to New York without informing her or whatsoever. She's always been his girlfriend's invisible little sister so I don't get how they're in love when they don't even know each other!!! What's the plot? There's no fckin plot!!
