I absolutely loved this book.
Seen from the point of view of two teddies, the diary records, with a wonderful mix of humour and poignancy, how the 2020 lockdown effected day to day life in New Zealand. Although it deals with a very serious subject, each day's entry managed to make me smile and the book left me with a feeling that everything will be ok as long as you have friends and are kind to each other (A message that the teds seem to get across much more successfully than us humans have!)

This lovely book tells us about the daily life of two good teddy friends after the sudden onset of lockdown in New Zealand. They watch the daily updates on TV and try their best to live within the rules. It is written with great humour and a poignant side that we will all have felt during this most difficult and strange year.

I adored this book. About two teddies who are best chums experiencing the intense lockdowns over Covid in 2020. It was hilarious and charming, and is a fascinating snapshot of that time period in New Zealand. More of an interesting read if you're from New Zealand and lived through the time period here, but I think even non New Zealanders would enjoy it too. My only worry is that this might be the only book we get with these two funny cute teddies. ...more
