Nothing to turn your head. That was 16 year old Sade Gabree’s life, and that was what she wanted. Because pain was easier to keep a secret in silence than in the midst of commotion. While the globe enters chaos in a confused fashion Sade is happy to note that at least none of these troubles affect her. Until other troubles do. Slow, comfortable every day life gradually begins to change for her as random abnormalities begin to appear, resurfacing emotions she had only just buried from her father’s abandonment of her family. Not the least of these comes in the form of Lock, a charming embodiment of perfection that desires to be Sade’s friend, yet for no apparent reason. Lock seems to have each line rehearsed as he quickly begins to fill a void in Sade’s life left there by her father. Yet still life will not settle into a happy normal, and things keep getting stranger. Her search for her father and for contentment in life leads Sade into secrets carefully kept hidden from her. Nothing and no one but the one who had hurt her life the most could have prepared her for the bomb about to be dropped onto her reality, and time is ticking fast before detonation. All Sade needs to do is to learn where risking it all for love and protecting yourself meet, and her time is running out to find the answer.
