so far Pak has brilliantly linked the Prequels with a Vader comic set during the original trilogy, between Empire and Jedi. Now he's linking to the Sequel trilogy, which is likely to prove controversial with some fans, but is providing much needed connective tissue to the Saga as a whole.

Returning from his quest to find out the truth of what happened to Padme, Vader is now on the receiving end of some harsh punishment from Palpatine. This essentially takes the form of him reliving his mutilation

This has to be one of my TOP favorite comics, I love the illustrations and the story is so heartbreaking.

3,5/5. Not much to it in itself. Pretty much just Vader taking a beating... There is some interest in the mind game the Emperor playing on him, how he play with him and manipulate him. Good in the grand scheme of things but a little empty by itself!

This is a terrible Vader story. If Palpatine could over power Vader so easily, how was Vader able to throw him down the shaft so easily? The story doesn’t make sense, hopefully the next 2 chapters bring it together. The artwork is fantastic though.

It is very menacing seeing Sidious punish Vader like this. Vader has to prove himself without the use of the Force. The issue was going great until the inclusion of Ochi at the end felt hamfisted.
