Hard Getting Into Story, Unbelievable H&h

I read a lot of Regency romance, and I usually enjoy finding an author or story different from the norm. This story is, indeed, very different with highly atypical characters (especially the heroine) and an unusual plot line. Unfortunately, I thought it strayed too far, straining credulity. I can't imagine a Regency woman thinking and acting as this one did. She had conflicting parts of her character the author just didn't reconcile in a believable way. I

They are so much alike.
Louisa was a rather unique character it was like there was an angel and a devil both tugging on her. One she is shy but then someone who would be willing to take a lover and throw him over and this is done in this era that did not accept that sort of behavior. Ned a battle-worn soldier has become an reclusive, who has now become a helpmate per his sister's request to Louisa. I am sure you can see where this is going but it was a fun ride getting to the end. I enjoy the au

These two are anti-social, and damaged, and just want to be left alone. His sister asks him to help find a job for her friend and so it begins as they bicker and banter and slowly find good in each other. So many high emotions and conflictions within this story as their backstories come out and revelations are made. Thoroughly enjoyed the life adventure these two went on. I always pull for the underdog and these were definitely that. Now to read more from this author.

Foolish Hope is the third book in the Fearless Fairwells series and is a sweet Regency romance.

I loved this book. The characters of Louisa and Ned are well developed, likable, and different from others in Society. The storyline is well written and engaging, keeping my interest from start to finish with this sweet but slightly steamy romance.

She only ever had one friend. Who is now on her honeymoon, leaving her staying at her home until she gets a job. Fortunately her friends brother is willing to help. He is a gruff, hurting man who is extremely shy. She is a shy beautiful woman who falls in love with him . . .but won't admit it . . . they both have such foolish hopes for the other -- and sincerely hope for best for the other. Terrific book!!! Full of twists and turns and surprises! ...more

I write Regency romances in which the men act like gentlemen...even when they're not.

My books are sweet in tone but with varying levels of steam (always labelled in the description). Happily-ever-afters are guaranteed!

My intention is always to make my readers laugh and cry, but most important to me is that you will close my books feeling happy! There isn't enough happiness in the world and I'm try
