It starts out a bit slow & I began wondering if I'd finish it or move on. However one is soon sucked back into Patch ' s world & we have to know how it turns out. This is one of those books that gets better page by page & has a satisfying end that doesn't leave the reader hanging or waiting for a sequel. Definitely worth the read. ...more

Great biker book

I've been riding since I was eight but only recently started reading books instead of magazines and newspapers. Let's say I have attention span issues. This book has a good pace and kept my attention. Nice job Mr. Barger.

Positive: B/c I’ve read Sonny’s non-fiction books, I was familiar w/his background. The lead character Patch is very believable b/c of this.
The pace moves quickly.
Even though they’re not exactly “law-abiding”citizens, I liked the characters. The writers did a good job of making the characters affable to the general public reader. (ie. non-biker person)

Negative: While I liked it ok, it just didn’t grab me as I was expecting it to. I got a little bored.
