I found this book in a Little Free Library shaped like a rocket ship. To be only 48 pages, it has quite a lot of information about the origins of hip-hop and different aspects of hip-hop culture.

I like this book because It is very informational. It take a look at how Hip Hop was invented. This book has a lot of good information and key events and songs that eventually lead up to the Hip Hop we know today. Hip Hop started with African Americans love for expressing themselves with music. This book is great for 4th and 5th graders. It good to teach kids how history can reinvent itself and what hip hop means to the African American community.
