Adrianne Chrisander inherited Cosmos Cruise Lines over a year ago and she finally felt confident in her decisions. When the opportunity to buy another small luxury line arose, she jumped at the chance, and then she and her boyfriend Keith Knowles went on a Murder Mystery Cruise on her new acquisition, to see what she was getting into. They didn’t count on Adrianne’s cousin and sworn enemy Stavros Chrisander being on board. They didn’t realize how nasty the man really was...
Adrianne Chrisander inherited the Cosmos Cruise Lines a year ago. One stipulation to her inheritance is that she makes the cruise line a success or lose it all. When an opportunity arises to buy out another cruise line and add the ships to her fleet, she jumps on it.
One of her newly acquired ships is conducting a murder mystery cruise which Adrianne would like to incorporate on her other ships. She and her fiancé, Captain Keith Knowles, decide to take the cruise without letting anyone know she’s their new boss. She had no idea her evil cousin Stavros would be on the same ship with his own intentions of buying it. Although the cousins have never met, Stavros has sworn to destroy Adrianne. She never realized just how evil he could be.
This is the third book in the series. I’m finding myself addicted to this series. I love cruising and I so enjoy living vicariously through these books until I can go on one myself. These are sweet, cozies. There are no murders, gore, or sex.
I recommend reading the books in order as storylines do tend to carryover. It also gives you a chance to get acquainted with these characters and see their character growth. These books are light-hearted stories that leave you smiling. Anything that gives me a "feel good" feeling gets 5 stars from me.
Although I have been on two cruises, I haven't attended a murder mystery. This premise sounded like a fun idea. Except for the obnoxious, spoiled brat personality, the characters were all pleasant. Spoiler: no one actually died on this cruise. One of the actors was supposed to fake his death, but another body caused a change of plans. I learned quite a bit about running a cruise ship company, which was quite interesting. I didn't realize this was the third book in the series until the end, though I could tell there was a back story I had missed. It would be good to read the books in order, though there is enough explanation of earlier events to make this story coherent as a stand- alone.
I have enjoyed the 3 books in this series. The premise is: young woman inherits a cruise line with 3 luxury ships. Each of the 3 stories thus far have focused on each of the 3 ships owned by Cosmos Cruise Lines. The main character, Adrienne, has come across mysteries aboard each of her ships and must solve them as she navigates running the business she inherited. These stories are simplistic but well written with maybe a mistake here or there but nothing that can’t be forgiven. For those who love to cruise (and miss it, desperately) this just tickles the itch to be back onboard a ship to cruise anywhere.
Adrianne is settling very nicely into her new role as owner of Cosmos Cruise Lines, profits are up, and she is highly respected by those who work for her. In fact, she is doing so well that she decides to purchase another small line consisting of three ships.
She, her boyfriend Captain Keith, and friends Carol and hugely successful blogger Jared go on a Murder Mystery cruise to anonymously check out one of the newly purchased ships. Unfortunately, her nasty and devious cousin, Stavros, who feels that he should have inherited all his great uncle's fortune, is also onboard and making life hell for crew and passengers. Good thing he doesn't know Adrianne is on board.
Cruising is such a wonderful way to relax & see in person different locations throughout the world. My one cruise when I was in my 20's was exactly as described on Mystery cruise, without the murder mystery. There are plenty of things to do on the ship, the food is top-notch & the stops at different ports to see the sites & shop to till you drop can't be beat.
I recommend you read all of the books in both the series, especially if you're stressed or worried. What better way is to get away from your everyday life than by reading books that visit exotic locations from the Artic to Antartica & everywhere in-between.
I really enjoy Lizzie Josephson's writing style. Her main character is smart, observant, kind, and fun. I enjoy that the mysteries are cozy style so no excessive cussing, no gore, and no embarrassing sex scenes. This book is so easy to read I had to keep reading to the end. I have enjoyed all 3 books so far and I sincerely hope she continues to write more books in this series. I also appreciate that she writes mysteries that aren't all murder. :-)
Another cruising adventure with a murder mystery show
Adrianne and Captain Keith Knowles decide to combine some vacation time with some background research on another cruise line’s vessel. The ensuing adventures combine family dynamics, murder mystery theater and business acumen all while trying to hide Adriannes true identity. These mysteries are lots of fun while enjoying details of cruising and ports of call. Their main focus is on the plot lines of the mystery and less on derp development of the characters and their relationships Very enjoyable reading.
From one cruise line to another - trouble seems to find Adrianne wherever she is. Although I haven't been on a mystery cruise I have been to a murder mystery evening but it was nothing like this. Adrianne and Carol again are trying to solve a mystery with the help of Captain Knowles (Adrianne's love interest) plus there's her dastardly cousin to deal with again too. I like Lizzie's style of writing, it's very easy to read and, as it's a cosy style, nothing to offend. Well I'm hooked so cast no 4!
The story got me from the beginning. Being a huge mystery fan I have always wanted to do a mystery weekend or a cruise. There were so many interesting and different things going on in this book that I read it in less than a day and pray there are many more books in this fabulous series.
Another fun adventure aboard a cruise ship. Adrienne and Keith are trying to have a fun vacation but trouble seems to find them. Between secretly buying the cruise line they are sailing on, dealing with her unbearable cousin and keeping her identity a secret, Adrienne has her hands full. What fun!!
Another entertaining, easy to read story in this delightful series. The murder mystery being acted on the cruise was a little distracting and the overacting by Stavros Chrisander became monotonous. But that is all part of these stories. This is not the best book in the series, but set the stage for more books to come.
I love cozy cruise ship mysteries and this one doesn't disappoint. The storyline and characters are great. I highly recommend this book and the series. The luxury aspect lets me dream of a lifestyle I'll never get to live. If you enjoy cozy cruise ship mysteries, you should check this book out.
A very pleasant book , easy going reading. I really enjoy those cozy cruises with Adrianne Chrusander and her boyfriend. Lizzie Josephson’s Books are a song to happiness and on top of that, they make me feel part of the cruise. Thank you Lizzie for your art
I love this series. I love the characters. I love cruising (about 26 before Covid...2 more planned for 2021 so far) I can relate to this series and wish I could go on one of these ships. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
Now that the three ships are purchased, each going to be put in dry dock for updates and being renamed, a new cruise is in order for them. Move adventures to happen.
A dysfunctional family, an inheritance, a rivalry between cousins and greed all contribute to this mystery cruise. Plus, an engagement and a successful cruise adds positive factors.
I really enjoyed reading the third book in this series and how Adrianne, Keith, Carol and the other characters in this book solved the mystery aboard the cruise ship. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading cozy mysteries.
A cozy mysteries series where no one dies. Enjoy reading this series and recommend it. The characters are likable, even the guilty ones. Looking forward to the next book.
Love these books Lizzie. 3 done & 10 more to go. They are such a fast read I can’t put them down. There’s some spell checks here and there, it slows me up a little bit but I get the drift. But on to number four in this series.
He is horrid, isn’t he??? I have been on many cruises and I am happy to say that I never ran into anyone like Stavros!!! The Murder Mystery almost took second place to the real cruise, didn’t it??? I enjoyed this story and recommend the book.
Enjoyed reading about this cruise. Each book that comes out can be a stand alone story and it really keeps you interested till the end. Love to go on cruises why not start reading this series. You will not be disappointed.
The characters are wonderful and quirky. The plot is twisty and interesting. The world building is great. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
I found this series not long ago and I have been quickly making my way through it. I find the premise fascinating as I have always wanted to go on a cruise and was never able to. The stories are fresh and interesting. The characters are fun and likeable. On to the next book. Recommend reading.
Excitement and not just because of the Murder Mystery
There was more suspense for the people attending the murder mystery cruise besides the acting. I couldn’t wait to see how Adrianne was going to get out of this predicament.
Due to lack of decent proofreading, I've had to remove 1 star 😪 However, thanks again . . . thoroughly enjoyed your latest book as well🐬 I knew I would💃💃💃
I enjoyed this. It's fun to see the characters again and I like seeing the growth of everyone. The plot was a lot of fun, good if you want a distraction.
