One more kill and she’s free. But only if she doesn’t fall in love first.

Love destroys. Zaida has lived by that motto for centuries as a siren and the faerie queen’s most lethal assassin. So keeping things strictly professional with the sexy human she’s working with on the FBI’s paranormal task force shouldn’t be a problem. Except it is.

Former Army Ranger Zimm isn’t a big

What a stellar addition to the Legacy series! In Killing Song, Joya expands upon the deepening mystery, offering plenty of supernatural intrigue that is intertwined seamlessly with the crackling chemistry flowing between Zimm and Zaida. The leads work together to solve a complicated case, soon having to grapple with dark, worsening circumstances even as they become unable to deny their desire. A delicious recipe indeed.

I loved the procedural elements, offset by a steamy attraction that continue

Possibly the greatest fated mates story every! I adore this book so, so, so, much. Zaida and Zimm are an amazing and hot couple, but Zaida's story, OMG! So, she's a siren, whose mother died and was adopted by an evil faerie queen, who trained her to be an assassin. So she's got siren persuasion, assassin skills plus a few extra hidden talents and is immortal. More or less. She and ex-solder Zimm are helping out a special paranormal task force and you know, working to dismantle an evil secret soc ...more

Luna Joya makes a Killing (Song)

It’s my favorite of the series – so far.

It’s not often that you reach book 3 of a series, and they keep getting better! While I’ve enjoyed all of Luna Joya’s books in The Legacy series, Killing Song stands out. While each book works as a standalone, it feels like Joya found a magic with these characters and the connecting storyline.

Let’s be honest, I have a few prejudices when it comes to paranormal romance:

It’s a series about witches

Siren Zaida is the faerie queen's most lethal assassin, and so as her motto has always been that love kills, she just needs to keep everything strictly professional with the sexy human she is working with on the FBI's paranormal task force. She has one more kill to complete for the queen and then she is free, so surely she can keep her focus on something she has been working towards for centuries? Former Army Ranger Zimm in the past has lost everyone and everything, so he is cured of love - that ...more

Just when I think I have a favorite book by Luna Joya, she comes out with Killing Song.

Fantastic world building! Strong female characters who kick butt! A sizzling page turner!

These two piqued my interest in book two and I was thrilled that this book was their story. I loved the chemistry between them and that sexy heat...oh my! Along with the action and magic, there’s a wide range of emotions being felt. It’s safe to say this is my favorite so far....until the next one!

Forbidden lovers or fated mates?
She’s a siren and an assassin.

“High-octane. . . Joya holds the reader in her grip with action-packed intrigue and an expertly paced will-they-or-won’t-they. The satisfying ending still leaves plenty of room for the series to continue; readers will be eager to see that it does.” Publishers Weekly

This is the third book in this series, and this is probably my favorite so far of all the books. Zaida has a secret, one that she can’t speak of even if she wanted to: she’s the faerie queen’s assassin. When that secret leads to her last target being someone she cares for, she must find a way out even while trying to help find an evildoer set to take over the world. I loved the chemistry between Zaida and Zimm; it was off the charts hot. I also loved how the plot was furthered with some secrets ...more

THIS BOOK!!! Oh my, where to start?! Alright, so this book fulfilled all the expectations I had of the first and second book, it felt like the author felt absolutely comfortably in her story and characters. The whole book was like a fine glass of wine, smooth and rich!!!
Seriously, the only reason I didn't read this book in one setting was because I fell asleep at 1.45 am. The story of Zimm and Zaida is fantastic!!!! I know, a lot of exclamation marks, but well deserved. Luna Joya really hit her

Luna has outdone herself in the thrilling adventure novel that just keeps you on a tightrope of suspense as you weave through this intoxicating tale. Bread crumbs of information are steadily dropped along our path which answer some questions and then open more keeping you addicted to find out what happens next and where this twisted steamy tale is taking us next as you heed the siren calls pulling you in deeper and deeperer. They all have secrets they are hiding from each other that could tear t ...more

This is the third book in Luna Joya's The Legacy series. I enjoyed this book. It did have me wondering at the beginning but I stayed with it and it ended well. I do recommend that you read the first two books in the series before reading this one or you will be lost since all three books are connected. They are all about different couples but the main storyline is the same. I received a free ARC copy of this book for my fair and honest review. ...more

What a great read. The Legacy series has not disappointed.

Zaida is a bada** siren who I have been a fan of since book 2. She can hold her own and doesn’t back down from anyone who has anything negative to say about her.

Zimm is the bodyguard who has lost in love and doesn’t really care to be alive until he met Zaida. He feels he has a purpose to live now and only if she can be his.

I hope that there will be more books added to this series as I cannot wait to see what happens next with the witches,

Killing Song is the third book in The Legacy series and, while I personally believe each book can function as a stand alone, I would definitely recommend starting with book one, Tides of Time to get the full scope of the world Ms. Joya has created. And because her words are just so frickin’ awesome, you should experience them all.

I have personally been super intrigued by Matthew (who shall, from this point forward be referred to by his nickname Zimm because I adore the alliteration aspect of Zim

Killing song is book three in the Legacy Series by Luna Joya and focuses on Zaida the only immortal member of an off-the-books FBI magical assets task force which includes two sister witches, and a voodoo priestess.

The story revolves around a murder investigation and the slow burn romance between Zaida and the completely mortal Matthew “Zimm” Zimmerman who works protection detail for the team (he was formerly an elite military sniper). We are introduced to them, and the task force, in book 2 of

Never a boring moment, with a rapidly approaching deadline (literally) it felt like everything good was going to come crashing down at any moment.
This is a very engaging Supernatural thriller, mysteries explained and more questions raised. The action is relentlessly rapid. I grew more and more attached to a siren responsible for countless deaths, what is wrong with me, and couldn’t have been happier or more alarmed when her romance finally blossomed. The sex scenes, while not pornographic, were

First, let me say I love this series by Luna Joya, and this third book in The Legacy Series does not disappoint. Second, let me tell you dear reader be prepared for some mind-blowing reveals and twists near the end of this one. With that said, Zaida and Zimm are still doing their will he/she or won't he/she sensual tango around each other building up to an intense and very magical moment between them. There is love, hate, betrayal, murder, mystery, and just a touch of super hot sexual activities ...more

This was my first time reading a book from Luna Joya. And I really enjoyed it. This was the third book in the series, and while it is probably nice to read the previous books in the series I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. It just helps fill in the back story. This book focuses on Siren Zaida and Zimm. The story was written really well and flowed nicely from beginning to end. I really liked the characters are the relationships between each other. Zaida is an immortal siren, and lethal assassin for the faerie queen. She doesn't believe in love, it is destructive, and not for her. Zimm is a former Marine sniper, now an FBI agent, and member of a secret task force of supernaturals. He knows all about love, and the pain it leaves when it has gone wrong. Well written, and compelling characters that I thought were amazingly realistic. Action packed, exciting, and romantic read. I loved this book, and look forward to more books in this series.
