I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what made me pick out this book.. was it the very obvious title hinting at numerous sexual escapades indulged in by the author? Probably not. That would not have been enough to catch my eye. Then perhaps it was the question posed at the start of the synopsis.. “Does sexual freedom mean liberation?” an innocent enough question, I thought, but only after finishing the book I realise that on the contrary it a heavily loaded one; one that took the author to a part of sel ...more

This is a candid celebration of Black female sexuality that is so often stigmatized in our society today. Instead of shying away from the topic, LAUX fully embraces her sexual experiences and identity, taking full ownership of her narrative. With comedic moments and inspiring insights, sexual empowerment has never felt so refreshing.

The most impactful and striking feature of the story is the narrator's raw honesty. This level of openness gives the reader a glimpse into the narrator's psyche. She has flaws, but also a deeply introspective quality, which guides her in her journey of healing and acceptance. The vulnerability and self doubt displayed by the storyteller also makes her very relatable person.
The writing style is smooth, modern and very effective in telling a compelling story. I highly recommend this book.

LAUX tells her truth in a way that makes you feel like you're talking to a friend. This book breaks down the bedroom walls that hold hushed conversation about sex and intimacy. Conversations typically only had with a trusted friend or maybe just with yourself. LAUX was brave enough to share her stor
