I fall a little bit more in love with AK Evans with every book I read by her. Her style of storytelling makes it easy to get lost in her stories. It also makes it easy to relate and root for the leads for their HEA. Don’t mistaken that for superficial, because it would be the opposite. Her stories have not only heart, but so much hope woven into the fabric of the plot. It’s amazing!

He was used to dealing with bad situations. It was the kids who affected him most. He was the first officer to respond to the two frightened children in a dangerous situation with a neglectful mother. He took charge of them to comfort and make sure they were checked by paramedics. I really enjoyed all of the emotion and realism AK Evans put into this story. Dex and Zoe had a very unconventional meeting and he let the events of that day color how he saw her. When he met up with Zoe again, he realized just how wrong he was about her and set about trying to win her. The only problem? He was about as clear as mud along the way. So Zoe doubted on a few fronts until Dex caught a clue about his mistake. Then it appeared to be smooth sailing, but Zoe was no stranger to happiness

It starts with the ugly but after that it becomes sweet and full of feels!
Zoe meets Dex when he drives her nephew and niece to her house after her sister’s debacle..and to say they made a lasting impression on each other is an understatement.
I love how Zoe is with her nephew and niece..she gives them her all, even if that might cost her a private life for herself.

This is the eight book in this series by this author and I was hooked from the first page, what an amazing story. This is the story of Dex and Zoe, these two characters have instant attraction and are just so loveable that you fall in love with them from the start. The story flowed really well and this book will take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride from start to finish. This book has the most fantastic epilogue to finish the book. Another amazing read from this author.

I enjoyed this slow burn romance and whilst it was a little too introspective at times, I nevertheless loved seeing this sweet relationship develop.
Zoe was a loving and caring aunt to her sister's children but never thought she'd ever get to have her own family. It was lovely seeing her fall in love with Dex and I was so happy that her dreams finally came true.

In the eighth book of the Road Trip series, Zoe and Dex didn’t have a “meet-cute” moment. Theirs was very definitely a dramatic and bumpy road. There were times when I hurt for them, cheered for them, and cried for them. I just loved these two characters, and their chemistry is great. About 1/4 of the way in I knew this was going to be a 5 star read and it maintained that standard until the end.

In the Cards is a great feel good story to read. Cooper and Coco are two kids who need a little help and Dex is the police officer lucky enough to be able to take them to their Aunt Zoe. From there the story gets even better. This is a sweet story with enough drama to keep you intensely reading. AK Evans never disappoints with her writing. Her happy endings are always worth the read

So good! I absolutely loved this book! Out of the entire Road Trip series this one was by far my favorite! Definitely a must read!
