*Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an eARC of this title.*

Having just read Whiteout, I was very hyped up to read Leo's story and to get to know more about this tough pilot chick. I was also intrigued to meet Elias and find out what his secrets were.

Even more so than Whiteout, this book jumped right into the action. Leo is thrown right into the deep end and she is very quickly thrust into danger and ends up in the company of Elias.

Elias Thorne has been living in exile for 10 y

This book is an Alaskan adventure full of suspense and life threatening situations. The action starts from the very beginning and never lets up. On top of that, you almost have two stories you are following. You've got the two main characters running for their life in the Alaskan wilderness and then you have this old lady named Amka that is doing everything she can to free the towns people from the same group that are chasing Leo and Elias. Even though the action was non-stop, it did take me a f ...more

I absolutely adored Whiteout, but for me this rom-suspense tipped over that narrow edge into being a bit too much on the survivalist/suspense side versus the romance. The action is super intense and stressful, and the two love interests having a meet disaster in Alaska as she has a stomach bug and maybe a concussion, and he thinks he's getting ambushed, made it a bit more difficult to see how these two would fall in love. I did enjoy their love story, I was just a little stressed out getting to ...more

5 Stars!

Uncharted hit the ground running from the first chapter in an expertly paced story between two strong, equally capable, and determined protagonists. All while learning to put their full trust in one another in order to survive being pursued in the Alaskan wilderness. This story was written in a style that has consistently drawn me to this author’s work - steady and natural pacing, realistic characterizations, vivid details, and skillfully written sensuality. Add in some impressive suspen

The second book in this series did not disappoint me at all, in fact, it lived up to all my hopes. It was a new couple and I wondered if I could feel the same connection as the previous couple. The answer was I did and quickly.

The story started with a bang and with Leo, a pilot, brave and a bit stupid gung-ho. She held the stage until Elias entered the story and together they made compelling reading. I want to say nothing about the plot

Adriana Anders knows how to do romantic suspense. This is the kind of read that will literally have you on the edge of your seat wondering how many more times they can snuggle naked without having a dick slip in somewhere...

Wait. That's not what I meant.

Her first book in the series, Whiteout, was an epic tale of grumpy vs. sunshine traveling together through the Antarctic wilderness on the run from bad guys while their food supply slowly dwindles down. I was on the edge of my seat with anticipat

I have been itching to read a book set in the Alaska wilds and am I quite glad that this is my first one. It really displays the topography and the characters are just so loveable.

I will try to review this book without giving much away. It is really best if you into this one without knowing to much to prevent spoilers. Leo is an amazing pilot and she and her team have been sent to find a man who is suspected to have

Oh wow. That was intense. The life-threatening survival in the cold was just as gripping as in Whiteout. Maybe more so? Leo and Elias scramble through the Alaskan wild and it is beyond wild. It's kind of too much. I think that it had to be that way in order to still call this a romance, because we have to spend more time with the couple, but honestly I could have used a lot more of Old Amka in this book! She is an amazing character, and her role was really important but we just didn't get to spe ...more

Whiteout blew my mind and I was ready for that heady, rush once again when I picked up Uncharted. Adrenaline pumping, edgy thrills, and slow-build spicy romance are brought together once again for incredible results.

Uncharted is book two in the Survival Instincts series of closely connected books. Read in order to get the best result.

Leo and the rest of her team have separated to track down the one other source of the virus code. She has followed a lead to a remote Alaskan resort village and the

This was a book I was really nervous to read as I had such high expectations for it after “Whiteout” dominated as my favorite read of 2020, and I was not disappointed. I’m in awe of Adriana Anders and her ability to weave words into these beautiful stories that will stick with me long after I’ve finished them. “Uncharted” for me was amazing in its own way to where I found I wasn’t even comparing it to “Whiteout” as I was reading it as it was so different. Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty!

If there is an animal in a suspense book, I spend the whole book worrying. So first off, the dog is fine.

Adriana Anders’ Whiteout was one of my most unexpected favorite reads of last year. The second book in the Survival Instincts series, Uncharted, continues the overarching story of thwarting Chronos’ quest for genocide and profit. This time, pilot Leo Eddowes and her team are trying to find a scientist hiding in the mountains of Alaska before Chronos finds him. Only a half step ahead of a host

" I want it (...) All of it. Everything you've got to give - good or bad. The hard shit. The sad. O want every little bit of you. (...) You don't scare me, Leo Eddowes."

After reading Whitheout, I was super curious to see what had happened to Leo.
Thanks to @netgalley and @sourcebookscasa for providing me with an advanced copy.

I am happy to say that this book was a solid 4 stars for me. I was worried when I first got the ARC and realized that it was a second in the series. As it is a thriller romance, I wondered if I would be lost or frustrated from not knowing enough. I am happy to say that never happened. It didn't under or over-explain what happened before, and all of the knowledge came naturally and not in one giant dump. The characters themselves were diverse, well crafted, and fit in the thriller scenario quite ...more

After reading Whiteout, the first book in the series, and Deep Blue, a previous novella, I got engaged with the series and I was so excited to read the story of each of the members of the team leading by the Cooper brothers.

Uncharted follows the story of Leo Eddowes, a character that was previously presented as an brave and excellent pilot that is stranded in Alaska searching for a key person in the team's investigation.

Another fantastic book by Anders, I was worried that it wouldn't be as good as Whiteout. Boy was I wrong, it was better. The action never stopped, the main characters were well written and I loved the relationship between Leo and Elias. The way they helped each other and grew closer, allowing for vulnerabilities to surface and bring them closer. This book was a thrill ride and I loved every bit of it, even if I was exhausted after it. ...more

Well if Whiteout took readers to Antarctica then clearly the author wants us to continue feeling chilled to the bone as with this book we travel to Alaska ! Ex Navy pilot Leo has become separated from her team as they hunt for the man who supposedly has a vial of a missing deadly virus. She's not exactly feeling her best but when tipped off about his whereabouts doesn't hesitate.
Elias was wrongfully accused of mass murder and as America's most wanted has been living off the grid in the wild and

‘Uncharted’ was the book I was chomping at the bits to read ever since I finished ‘Whiteout’—a brilliant run-for-your-life-and survive (in the extreme cold) type of story. Much like its predecessor, ‘Uncharted’ is written in the same vein where survival at all costs while dodging a shadowy enemy is pretty much what the whole book is about.

It’s breathless action the whole way, from start to finish, obscuring perhaps, even the finer details of why Elias and Leo were where they were in th

Uncharted is an exciting, fast-paced epic romantic adventure. I was so looking forward to this one after reading Ford and Angel's book. I was not disappointed.
It takes about half of the book to get to any real "romance", but it is very much worth the wait! Leo and Elias were like molten lava.... the heat just oozed between the two of them. It took their sexual tension a while to build, but when it did, the explosion was HOT.
I'm a sucker for a take-charge, grumpy loner of a hero. Elias was all th

"You don't scare me, Leo Eddowes." "No?" She sniffled, her voice thick with emotion. "Well you scare the living hell out of me."

Initial reaction: WOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.

Uncharted is the second book in the Survival Instincts series (I do recommend reading these in order due to the underlying plot) and boy, does it keep the questions going. To keep things basic, there's a virus that everyone is trying to get their hands on, including an insane government corporation called Chronos. Leo

This is one of those books you should not start before you go to bed because JUST when you think about putting it down something crazy happens and you have to find out how these two are going to get out alive. Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.

I can’t think of another romance author who writes really physical books like Adriana Anders does—the intensity of how the characters in the Survival Instincts series constantly combat extreme environments is relentless, the things they push their bodies to do is extraordinary, & the fact that she makes these setting-rich books feel compelling & beautiful & raw & at times, otherworldly, is really admi

Uncharted is full of great action and hot romance! Leo is a strong woman who can do it all and I loved her smart and witty character. Elias is rough and tough and has been alone in the wilderness too long. He reminded me of a Mountain Man Rambo. The chemistry between Leo and Elias is red hot from the start and once you throw in the enemies hot on their trail it makes for one wild and entertaining read. I received this ARC for free for my honest review. I loved it and I would recommend this book ...more

I absolutely enjoyed this book. You have Leo, an alpha female ex military pilot who was on a mission that was suppose to be a quick in and out. On the other hand you have Elias who is an ex government employee who is also an alpha that was set up many years ago for a crime he didn’t commit. This book was a romance suspense that seemed to lean a little heavier on the suspense side. It had multiple heart pounding moment that will have you on the edge of your seat hanging on to the next word as the ...more

Pilot Leo Eddowes stays behind in Alaska because of food poisoning while her team flew back & she is asked by Amka
to go rescue her godson Elias Thorne in the wilderness before it’s too late, only she’s thinking she’s going to rescue a man they’ve been searching for related to the virus.
