This is a good collection of short stories featuring mythical beings. The stories are different and feature gods, creatures and more. They are good stories that are nicely developed and very intriguing. I thought this collection was interesting because it featured different types of influences not just Greek. The characters are strong and the stories are sexy and romantic.

I wanted to read this selection because Eliabeth Knox is one of my favorite authors. But I also found other wonderful authors in this exciting anthology of mythological gods, monsters and creatures. I am already a huge fan of shifter stories as well. I wasn't sure I would truly enjoy reading this genre. But I felt I was up to the challenge. It was well worth it with the Roman, Greek and Egyptian Gods and the Celtic Faeries. I don't do spoilers so I won't give out really more than what's in the d ...more

If you are a fan of mythology, this collection provides stories that inspires and draws you in leaving you wanting for more. My favorite is by Elizabeth Knox, "Valhalla's Agony. Freya is chosen to become the Jarl's wife and with it she has a visit with the seer who foretells her of the journey ahead and that she must embrace it in order for things to go as planned and if that isn't enough Odin himself comes to her and gives her enlightenment as well. It leaves you wanting the next episode to see ...more

I will admit that I was drawn to this book because of the cover. It is BEAUTIFUL. But then I started reading and though I wanted to read it in one setting , i couldn't. There are several gods, goddesses, and deities , oh, and faeries, that I had to keep track of them all. THIS is a good thing. It shows major creativity on the part of all of the authors and the tales as old as time they flipped on their sides. This anthology has magic, intrigue, sex, and betrayal. No one story is better than the ...more

In this one you are given several authors and their stories where the gods are featured from different realms. Norse and Celtics are the most dramatic for me with each of us having our likes. I also was introduced to some new to me authors which was a bonus for me. They each had their own flavor. I adored the suspense and intrigue part which is my draw of late. This will keep you occupied for a time so do not delay in the reading of this gem.

I am really surprised how these stories have caught me. Some stories are the start to a great series and I can't wait to read them. Others are full blown stories which capture you from start to finish. It is not my typical read but I really enjoyed them and met the work of new great writers to me. I love these kind of boxsets as it let's you drive into a new world you probably wouldn't try otherwise.

This review is for Declan from Corinne Falls. I don’t normally read PNR or MC’s very often. I’m picky with it. So this is a PNR and an MC kind of story. I was by far impressed with this storyline and the characters. It’s part of an anthology so it’s not very long, but I have loved every word of it. It’s full of protective alpha and hotness. This is a must read. Can’t wait for more.

My review is for Valhalla's Agony by Liz Knox. Mythology is my next favorite genre. Freya to be married to a Jarl. Not just any Jarl but, the and handsome one she has been secretly eyeing. On top of that Odin himself comes to get to tell her a secret. I can not wait to read more about Freya and her Jarl. ...more
