Shifting Targets is a prequel to Reily Garrett’s Moonlight and Murder series, but it can be read at any point in the series. It shows how certain characters first crossed paths, and it works as both an introduction to the series and as a bonus for fans.

As is regularly the case with a Reily Garrett book, before I say more, I just wished to make a quick note. I’m fortunate enough to beta read for Reily Garrett, lucky enough to get an insight in how these books develop. However, this does not influ

‘Time to prove to the world my parents were successful in raising their kid.’

Bicoastal author Reily Garrett has been employed as an ICU nurse, a private investigator, and in the military police – all of which supplies her with the intricate and detailed knowledge from which she forges her books. She addresses issues such as man's cruelty and ingenuity for torment and torture, having witnessed the after-effects of a teenager mugged at knife point for a pair of tennis shoes, or an elderly woman st

~Adventurous introduction to Moonlight and Murder series
~First, I’ll state that I received this book as a gift from the author to read and review.
~I really enjoyed the other books in the series, so when this novelette prequel became available, I was very interested in reading it. And it was worth it!
~This short story helped fill in some of the history between series main characters Keiki and Nick. This is really not the place for me to go into any details about the other books in the series, ra

The story line pulls you in and holds your attention until you read the last page. Mystery, suspense, intrigue and twists and turns keep you sitting on the edge of your seat, turning the pages and makes it hard to put the book down. Strong and well developed characters that are realistic.

Our heroine is determined to find her parent's killer, no matter the cost. Hopefully our hero can help her stay alive while she investigates.

This something of a side story to the series. It is the third book I have read, but it is written as a standalone and features the heroine from book one. Feel free to start here if desired.

This is a romantic suspense story although the romance aspect builds slowly and late in the game. Which works just fine for me as it gives the main plot a chance to unfol

Shifting Targets is a prequel novella in the Moonlight and Murder series by Reily Garrett. I have read the series and have really enjoyed the suspense, mystery, and romance. I have wondered about Keiki and Nick’s beginning so this was awesome. No, it’s not a romance. They are friends and co-workers.

Keiki wants to catch a killer. The one who killed her parents in a parking lot. Nick was there when she heard the devastating news just a few weeks ago but since then he left the force. He was now a
