I loved this book so much!
It was such an easy and light read with so many funny, mystery, magic and steamy scenes in an urbanfantasy setting that I couldn't put down!
I was constantly laughing and in awe of the amazing chemistry between the characters🔥

So let’s start with the fact that i went into this with zero knowledge what the book was about and zero expectations.

Overall, it was okay. Started off pretty interesting but i wish we got a bit more in that backflash. I didn’t feel connected enough to care that Natia’s best friend was killed.

Once we fast forward to the present, Natia working for a secret Supernatural Intelligence Protection was kind of cool. I liked that she already was something we the story takes off. But at the s More like 2.5

So let’s start with the fact that i went into this with zero knowledge what the book was about and zero expectations.

Overall, it was okay. Started off pretty interesting but i wish we got a bit more in that backflash. I didn’t feel connected enough to care that Natia’s best friend was killed.

Once we fast forward to the present, Natia working for a secret Supernatural Intelligence Protection was kind of cool. I liked that she already was something we the story takes off. But at the same time, I didn’t “feel” her friendship with Duncan because we totally skipped them getting close. Then we have Zee which is soft of written as someone who is romantically interested in Natia but also not. But I didn’t see that either.

Another thing I did not like was the fact that she is legit the only female character in this story. Don’t get me wrong. When you have that many hot guys around, being one girl can be fun. But I didn’t feel that way in this story. If you’re telling me, she is this hot kickass, there is no way Archan is the only one who is seriously interested in her, considering there is no one around.

The biggest problem I had was the world. We have demons, which we learn right away but where are they from? How do they get into our world? What are their powers? We have warlocks and witches but don’t really get an explanation about their powers. Are all of them elemental? Who can heal or teleport and what are the rules? Is this world based on Greek mythology? Too many holes in the magic system I just can’t overlook.

I get keeping secrets about who Archan and the guys are but we should have found out by the end of the book at least. Them being what they are is too important to the plot not to explain in book 1.

And of course the main relationship. To be honest, i wanted to love it but i didn’t. It started off as haters to lovers but Natia was acting like a child for most of it which I really didn’t like. And the sexual tension? I feel like all the scenes between them that had sooo much potential were cut short.

So basically I was enjoying the first 60% but once I realized we won’t get any answer, the second part of the book was a lot harder to finish. By the time I finished it, I was just frustrated that we didn’t get anywhere.

"Seducing Hope" is Adaline's debut novel and the world she wrote about really captivated me from the very beginning.

Natia was one of my favorite characters, she was so funny and badass and we have to appreciate her taste in music. Her relation with the guys was everything! Zee was hilarious, always teasing and flirting with her. Jed too and Duncan felt more like a brother than a best friend, they all did. And let's not forget the sweet Aaden, he's so cute and innocent.

When the author kindly asked whether I'd be willing to read and review this book, I agreed right after I read the blurb because it seemed like exactly the kind of book I'd love. And I did. I really, really did. What can I say, I am sucker for paranormal romances!

Natia was the kind of heroine I adore the most. She was strong, witty, courageous, loving and a total bad-ass. She has built walls around the heart, but if you were lucky to get through, she'd give you more love than you know what to do When the author kindly asked whether I'd be willing to read and review this book, I agreed right after I read the blurb because it seemed like exactly the kind of book I'd love. And I did. I really, really did. What can I say, I am sucker for paranormal romances!

Natia was the kind of heroine I adore the most. She was strong, witty, courageous, loving and a total bad-ass. She has built walls around the heart, but if you were lucky to get through, she'd give you more love than you know what to do with. She is also very honest and straight forward-what you see is what you get, so you always know where you stand with her. She was breath of fresh air, wearing her heart on her sleeve. She is also very stubborn and and she really gave Archan, who is used to people following his orders, run for his money, because she does not take orders well.

She didn't realise she had set a game in motion, one that will end with her being mine.

Don't you just love those dominant, possessive, alpha heroes? I sure do! And that is why I absolutely adored the hell out of Archan. He was entitled asshole that thinks his shit does not stink but he was also kind and caring. We do not find out what he really is in this book, only that he is an ancient supernatural being, so I am really looking forward to the second book to uncover the mystery that is Archan Reinheart.

When Natia and Archan meet, they do not trust each other's motives. They both think the other is the enemy, so in order to find out more information about each other's missions, they are constantly trying to one up each other. It was very entertaining to watch, especially seeing that Natia and Archan have insanely hot chemistry from the first time they meet. So, while burning extremely slow, watching their relationship play out was like watching a movie. The only thing that was missing was popcorn.

I loved their friends, even the ones with a stick lodged in their behind (I am looking at you, Zac). They provided entertainment and witnessing how much they cared for their respective friends warmed my heart. I loved how they teased each other mercilessly one second and then had each other backs the next. It was plain as day to see that they really loved each other. I must say I am quite attached to all the supporting characters, so I hope that they won't die in the future books because I'll cry a river of tears.

Seducing Hope is an amazing paranormal romance that ends on a cliffhanger that brought me to my knees, I kid you not! It was so cruel of the author to leave the book at that particular point. But really, it was a genius move because I am now counting down days until the second book! ...more

I found Natia so innocent, down to earth that even when I am not acquainted with Greek mythology, I could totally imagine her to be the creation of god. Being a nature lover, It was so mesmerizing reading adaline's description of the nature, when Natia described the plants on Archan's office's roof, when she talked about the fishes and night sky, it just took my heart.

Talking about Archan, watching supernatural helped me in deciphering that he was a vessel for the evil when it would unleash just as Sam Winchester was for Lucifer ( those who watched supernatural know what I mean. And those who didn't, sorry for the major spoiler😂). Archan's personality screamed power. He was aggressive, self controling, in the need of always being in charge but at the same time soft hearted, caring and kind.
Besides that, I am curious to know his side of story. I want to know what he went through, why he doesn't trust in love and why he keep people at a distance, which I hope adaline's will clear in the next book of the series.

The attraction between Natia and Archan gave me goosebumps whenevr I read that part and knew, that their love for each other Was inevitable.

Also the next thing I loved was the characters of Zee, Jed and Duncan and their relationship with Natia. They loved her as a friend, as a family and as their own even though she was different from the rest.

The book was magnificent and the ending was , well cliff hanger which made me upset cause I didn't want it to end so soon. Will be desperately waiting for the next part- 'Surrendering hope'

What an overwhelming story from this author and as her debut...I am so so impressed.

Adaline has successfully created a unique world with our Taurus Natia as the female MC. Powerful, emotional and oh so addictive...this book deserves more recognition.

Focusing more on the action packed storyline, with small glimpse of romance between...I just couldn't have asked for a better read to start my October. I'm totally mind blown at the ending and book 2 can not come soon enough!😍 ...more

If you’re a fan of the supernatural fantasy fiction filled with action, sarcasm, and some romance this is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish and I gasped during many parts (in a good way). I could picture the story in my head as I was reading and for me that means it’s a good story. First thing - this is more than 3 stars. It would be 4 but I deducted an extra 0.5 points because what kind of fucked up ending is this?

It took me a while to get into this. The beginning is confusing and getting into the world building takes about half the book. I did not know what to expect in this book BUT I am definitely glad I read it! I honestly wasn't too sure about this book. However, when I started, I couldn't stop reading.

What a debut book!!! I really loved Natia, and the whole Pandora’s box .. I can’t wait to find out what happens in book two.
Natia doesn’t know it yet but she’s the key to it all.. I’m not sure I know what Archans deal is quite yet but I am sure more will be revealed in book 2. I loved the characters and Natias sass.. it is an interesting world build too. I am ready for more..
There are some steamy scenes and some definite build up at the end ..I’m needing to know more about Pandora for sure .. ...more

At 20% I still couldn’t tell what the book was about or any significant information about the characters. Apparently the main chacon has some super secret para ability, went to an unnamed school for dance, and was hired by an unnamed, but “famous” dance company, before joining one of her family’s many companies. I looved Natia! She is such a relatable character —sassy but down to earth. If there's one word I would use to describe her, that's definitely warrior. A woman scarred by her past relationships, but definitely fearless!

Archan definitely had a controlling nature but was a softie at the same time. A combo we all know and love seeing in our heroes! He's an alpha for sure, but Natia isn't about to tolerate his dominance — she doesn't have a submissive bone in her body!!

I really wish I had known that this was a series going into it...I really don't like cliffhangers and don't believe they're a necessary, or fun, story device.

That being said, there was a lot I enjoyed about this book and some things I didn't. The pacing is great. I never felt bored while reading but there were still breaks between the action. I also appreciated that despite the number of men in both groups, this didn't turn into some harem or love triangle where anyone could've been another love I really wish I had known that this was a series going into it...I really don't like cliffhangers and don't believe they're a necessary, or fun, story device.

That being said, there was a lot I enjoyed about this book and some things I didn't. The pacing is great. I never felt bored while reading but there were still breaks between the action. I also appreciated that despite the number of men in both groups, this didn't turn into some harem or love triangle where anyone could've been another love interest. Women are allowed to have male friends...so it was refreshing that while Natia's friends may flirt, it was all done jokingly and they were true friends to her. I would've liked to have seen another woman on the team...why is Natia the only one?? Can there not be more than one badass chick?

I love that this book had dual POVs so that the reader can get the full story. Although I do wish the world was a bit more fleshed out. I realize that you're at the mercy of the narrator and if they don't know something then the reader doesn't either, but I could've used a little more world-building. I didn't fully understand the supernatural beings we were dealing with. Do they all have certain powers or limitations? If demons come from hell and can be banished back, how'd they get out in the first place? Etc...

The constant back and forth between Natia and Archan did get a bit frustrating after a while since their tension lasts for most of the book. The characters themselves aren't too unique, falling into the cliched categories of "sarcastic, badass fighter woman who refuses to love again because she's been burned before", and "sexy alpha man who wants to dominate her and is incapable of love". Honestly, I get tired of these same characterizations that's saturated the romance genre but at this point it's not really the author's fault...it's what sells.

I do want to mention a trigger warning for rape committed against the heroine, Natia (not by the hero). This really should be noted in the blurb or before the book begins, and that's a major oversight by this author and editor. The scene itself I don't believe furthered the plot at all except to put the heroine in yet another vulnerable position, and I wish it wasn't included...although, I suppose it could be argued that it does fit with the reveal at the end of who she is. But I'd still appreciate a warning (and nobody better try to say that because he didn't put his d*ck in her that it wasn't rape...Dude shoved his fingers inside of her without consent and with malicious intentions).

That being said, I did enjoy the banter between Natia and her teammates. And their relationships with each other were great. The plot in this book is solid, if a bit confusing at times, and the "twist" at the end is exciting (although I do hate that it's a cliffhanger).

Overall, an entertaining and fun read! I'll be keeping my eye out for when book 2 comes out so that I can be put out of my misery from that cliffhanger.

I mean, seriously, what is it with authors and leaving us on the most gigantic cliffhanger ever at the end of books?! Now I have who knows how long until my ten million questions are answered!

I am in absolute awe of this book.
I was taken by surprise from the very first page, and as it seems, every single page after. There was mystery, suspense, violence, action, laughter, and magic both literally and romantically—it has been a hot minute since I have gone through this kind of emotional whiplash. I love how it gives us the two POV’s, and especially with Archan’s, it increases the level of intrigue by giving us insight into the two “opposing” sides. It made me feel like I knew more th I am in absolute awe of this book.
I was taken by surprise from the very first page, and as it seems, every single page after. There was mystery, suspense, violence, action, laughter, and magic both literally and romantically—it has been a hot minute since I have gone through this kind of emotional whiplash. I love how it gives us the two POV’s, and especially with Archan’s, it increases the level of intrigue by giving us insight into the two “opposing” sides. It made me feel like I knew more than each of them, but not enough to piece together the puzzle before the final, cruel reveal.

I found myself frantically taking notes throughout the entirety of this book because my thoughts were running rampant, but it was so difficult to pause the trip it took me on before I got sucked back in. I hate that it is over, but I will be talking and thinking about this book long after. I’m not sure about the exact moment, but at least halfway through I pledged my eternal loyalty to this freaking author for the absolute ingenuity of their writing. Natia fast became one of my favourite characters; we weren’t just told she was a badass—we were shown. A glimpse into her mind revealed a charismatic, no-nonsense, intelligent, fly-kicking machine. “She’s a storm that can break anything in her path” just about sums her up. I was so immersed in this story and its characters, especially Natia, that it became real to the point of feeling like a friend; I laughed with her, loved her, grieved for her. I had to take a walk at some point just to shed the grip she had on my heart. The shared banter and quick wit of these characters were absolute perfection. They each had something unique to offer, and their vastly different personalities and roles throughout the story made them memorable (Zee and Duncan have my entire heart). The romance is of course worth its own mention. It wasn’t predictable and it wasn’t typical, and it only made it more enchanting to see the growth both Natia and Archan experienced together. After the most confronting, vicious scene I have ever encountered in a book, Archan said something about Natia as he (so beautifully) wrapped her in multiple sheets and lay with her that stuck with me, “She needs me more than she needs my wrath unleashed in her honor.” This was the beginning of Archan proving to be selfless and nurturing after a previous confession that he could not give another his love. Excuse me while I mourn these characters as I wait for Surrendering Hope and stare at the ceiling until I merge back to reality.

This multi-layered masterpiece was brutal, fist-clenched-around-the-heart gripping, it was descriptive, and it was thrilling. Adaline, your talent is undeniable and this book is unforgettable ...more

I loved this book from the first chapter, which doesn't happen too often for me (it usually takes a few chapters for me to get into a book). The way Adaline Winters builds this world and these characters is truly a rare art form. I absolutely love the banter between Natia and Archan, it's amazing Their undeniable connection is one for the ages and the sexual tension between them could be cut with a butter knife. I also enjoyed how Natia has many friends that are men and how playful they all are without crossing a line. There were many pop culture references that just made the book even better. I love being brought further into a book's world when they reference shows, movies and the like from our actual world. The title truly does not lie. The story is enticingly seductive (there were a few nights I had to make myself put my kindle down so I could get some sleep) and by the end these characters make you have hope! The ending is a true and epic cliffhanger that you won't see coming.

Oh and I'd like to ask here, how freaking beautiful is the cover of this book?? It's stunning!

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy: romance, the supernatural, alpha males, kick-ass heriones, mystery and investigative storyline. Those who love being pulled into another world within our own will love this as well. Adaline Winters is already working on book 2 of this series so we can look forward to more of this fantastic story soon.

Overall, my rating is a 5 out of 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆. The story is so appealing and it was difficult to put down. ...more

Well what can I say? Adaline Winter's debut Seducing Hope is an absolute thrill ride of a novel. Aside from shifter romance I haven't read a lot of supernatural/paranormal/fantasy, but this was something else. I loved every page.

And usually, Archan, the love interest, who is – pardon my language – an absolute paternalistic piece of sh*t. Archan is condescending and controlling and every single one of his chapters made me want to throw my kindle through the room. So, yeah, sure, he’s hot, but that’s jut not enough for me. I have to say that the sexual tension and the chemistry between them were there, no question. But the rest felt forced to me.
It was also the case with Jed, and a few others. Basically, what was disappointing to me was that I couldn’t believe in any new friendship that Natia made, they were not allowed the space and details to grow organically and the result was that the writing was forcing these relationships on us, telling us, instead of showing us. And the old ones were not that satisfying to me. Just because Natia is the only woman in the band and everyone feels the needs to protect her, does it mean that her friends are allowed to discuss her personal life with people who are practically strangers? This is not acceptable.

After reading mainly fantasy and some middle-grade books lately I needed a change.
So this book came along, a paranormal romance. And this felt like a fresh breath of air.

SEDUCING HOPE.....

Paranormal genre which happens to be one of my favorites... From the very first chapter, I was immediately hooked. I believe this speaks well of a book when it can manage to grab your attention early on.

There is a perfect balance of narratives and dialogues that it doesn't get boring throughout.
