Megabat is Daniel’s talking pet bat. It’s Daniel’s birthday and Megabat is excited because he’s never been to a birthday party. The problem is that no one else knows about Megabat, so he can’t take part in the party with Daniel’s friends. Megabat takes out his anger by breaking Daniel’s birthday present and running away. However, Megabat quickly realizes life isn’t as easy or fun without Daniel.

Thank you NetGalley and Tundra Books for the digital advance reading copy of this book.
This is the second Megabat book I have read from the Megabat series and this book was just as fun as the first one I read. This books deal with feelings that kids have on a regular basis of not fitting in and feeling left out but through the eyes of Megabat.
I love that Anna Humphrey includes information about bats and their natural habitats at the end of the book.

Megabat and Daniel are back for another adventure! It is Daniel’s birthday and Megabat wants to join but things start to get out of hand fast. This was a super cute story in the Megabat and Daniel book series. It’s a sweet story about celebrating your birthday and how sometimes our intentions can get a little out of hand. Overall, a really fun and cute read!

Love the use of funny words like "Spunktacular" and "Buttermelon". The artwork was adorable, Megabat is a cutie pie! His dance-off with the robot was hilarious, ha.
