Seeds of Murder is the third book in Reily Garrett’s Moonlight and Murder series, and it’s easily my favourite of the three. As much as I enjoyed both A Critical Tangent and Pivotal Decisions, this one gripped me harder and kept me guessing throughout.

As is regularly the case with a Reily Garrett book, before I say more, I just wished to make a quick note. I’m fortunate enough to beta read for Reily Garrett, lucky enough to get an insight in how these books develop. However, this does not influe

Whoo hooo!!! As always Reily Garrett delivers a very fast paced action filled romantic thriller.

This is the third installment in her Moonlight and Murder series, and for me I think this one is the best.  I'm not saying the others are not good, but just that I liked this one better.

You can definitely read this book as a stand alone, no problem there, but as always in series, we get to revisit some characters form the previous books, and that makes it a little bit more complete. It's like revisit

Seeds of Murder is the third book in the Moonlight & Murder series by Reily Garrett. Each can be read as standalone but I recommend reading the series so you can get to know the couples that previous fell in love. Each book is a different couple but they are intertwined and turn into a family of sorts. If you read Critical Tangent then you have met Nick Tucker, PI. It’s his time to see what Nolan and Coyote have been through with their ladies. Trouble with a capital T.

Reily Garrett – Moonlight and Murder Bk 3 – Seeds of Murder – Reviewed 7/27/20 – Read 7/25-26/20

When the clouds open up, you would expect rain, not death!!!!

Darby Loughlin and her mentor, Basil, were hiking out to the lake to take samples of the water and the soil around it. They were surprised when a lone cloud formed over them. Suddenly the rain starts, and Darby watches as Basil is tormented with drops of death falling on him. Unable to climb the steep hill that he had just descended to take

A completely absorbing new episode – murder she wrote….!

Bicoastal author Reily Garrett has been employed as an ICU nurse, a private investigator, and in the military police – all of which supplies her with the intricate and detailed knowledge from which she forges her books. She addresses issues such as man's cruelty and ingenuity for torment and torture, having witnessed the after-effects of a teenager mugged at knife point for a pair of tennis shoes, or an elderly woman stabbed repeatedly with

~First, I’ll state that I received this book as a gift from the author to read and review.
~I will admit that it took me a while to warm up to the main character, Darby Loughlin. She is kinda standoffish. As the story develops, the reader is given more insight into Darby’s history. Her actions, fears, and mistrust of people begin to make more sense. This story brings back some familiar characters from the prior two books in the series, “A Critical Tangent”

Darby faced a gruesome interruption to her visit with her mentor Basil. Apparently misapplication of his research had realized the potential to turn ugly

Nick was the man Basil said Darby should seek out for help if she needed it

A street rat runaway turned survivor and scientist and an ex cop turned PI might end up having more in common than their independent connections to Basil

Intense action, drama, murderous greed, and family support from folks connected by choice not blood

Seeds of Murder is the third book in the Moonlight and Murder series and is a compelling crime thriller.

This is a fantastic addition to this series. The characters are well developed, interesting, and intelligent. The storyline is well written and engaged my interest from start to finish with murder, family, humour, suspense, action, and romance. I cannot wait to read more books in this series.

I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Darby witnesses the murder of her mentor but before he dies, he tells her to go to Nick Tucker a private investigator for help. Sparks fly between her and Nick will they discover the truth? This is a fast-paced read with great world building and wonderful characters. There are plenty of twists and turns along with loads of drama and suspense. I really liked it.

Who would ever thought that rain could kill you. Darby watched her mentor Basil die as the rain raindrops descended upon them. Acid rain.
Basil headed towards the lake and told Darby and her faithful K9 to take cover. She felt such a coward.
Nick was shocked when Darby found him staking out a couple. In all his years as a PI he had never met a woman so bold.
Nick finally gave in and agreed to help Darby. Little did he know that the web of lies and deceit would put them in danger searching for Basil

This is the first book I have read by this author but it will certainly not be the last. A great fast paced book with lots of twists and turns, action, humour and developing relationships. Darby was a great character a true survivor who had left a traumatic childhood to start a new life with the help of her mentor. Nick is a Private Investigator and ex cop who helps her after her mentor who was also his previous client is murdered. All the characters were well written and I loved the interplay b ...more

A great page-turner. Darby Loughlin seeks help after witnessing her mentor's death. Nick Turner, a private investigator, knows about Darby and her mentor, Basil. They seek out his murder, but always end up in trouble. I couldn't put the book down because I wanted to know how they would get out of the situations they found themselves in. A cast of wonderful characters that add to the mayhem in the book. I recommend this wonderful mystery. ...more

Loved it. A great example of good triumphing over evil. Darby had a horrible childhood. She is helped to realized her self worth. It was so enjoyable to be back with this entertaining, engaging, and daring group of friends. Delighted to see they have welcomed Darby into their fold. I am eager to see what other interesting adventures and exciting moments this group gets into. Or to check out other books by this author. Great page-turning writing. I feel very fortunate to have received an ARC of Reily Garrett’s Seeds of Murder. Reily is one of my favorite authors. Her words just pull me deeper into her curious web she weaves.
Murder, mystery, suspense stories are a top favorite genre right next to fantasy paranormal. Always has been. Reily has quickly risen up and is considered one of the best authors in this genre for me. I cannot speak enough about her details, story line, and research.

Behind Closed Doors Book Review
Seeds of Murder is the third book in the Moonlight and Murder series, which is written by author Reily Garrett. Each book in this series tells the story of a different couple and can be read as a standalone romance. Even though this is true, I do believe you’ll fully appreciate the storyline by reading them in order. Just know that it’s only a suggestion.

Seeds of Murder tells the story of Darby Loughlin and Nick Turner. Darby was helping her mentor, Basil, collect samples when they were attacked

Our heroine watches as her friend and mentor is killed by an unseen force right in front of her. But she knows it is murder and is determined to see justice done, no matter who stands in her way.

This is book three of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone. Different characters and setting, so no prior reading is required.

This is a romantic suspense story although the romance aspect builds slowly and late in the game. Which works just fine for me as it gives the main plot a chance to

This is the 5th book I've read written by Reily Garrett; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the characters.

What a great book! I do enjoy these heroines and their territorial men :) I am obsessed with the suspense - I love getting the murderers point of view. I love their loyal dogs and the obstacles each heroine has had to overcome. I just love Reily and her writing so much!
