I am sorry now that I have jumped in at book 6. There are many 4 and 5 star reviews for this book so I guess that it is one of those series which benefits by knowing the characters and their relationships. I can only judge by what I experienced in this one book.

I enjoyed the setting on the yacht and thought it was a clever way for the author to contain her cast in one place for the duration of the story. Some of the characters were a little OTT and I struggled to believe in Addie's main relation

In this sixth installment in Lauren Elliott's Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery series, the big day for Addie's best friend Serena and her fiancé Zach has finally arrived and they are getting married on his family's luxurious yacht, currently moored in the town's harbor. But a few hours before the wedding, the body of a man washes up on the beach. No one recognizes the man and the wedding proceeds as planned. However the next day, the body of a guest is found on the beach. While the murders are ...more
Addie Greyborne’s best friend Serena Chandler was to be married to Zach Ludlow and the wedding would be held on the luxury super yacht owned by his father and stepmother. Addie, along with a select few, were staying on board overnight after the bride and groom had departed for their honeymoon. But the wicked stepmother had different ideas about the wedding and Serena wasn’t happy.

The following morning Addie found that a second body had been discovered. The first had been found the day before an

Much like a locked room mystery, this locked on a ship mystery is just as exciting and with all the possible suspects this one might be more than Addie and her pals can take on especially as the lead investigators seem to be having a power struggle. Excellent characters that have been fully brought to life and a town setting that you wish you could really visit make this series a must read series! While I have loved every book in the series this installment has slightly edged into the lead as my ...more
I'd have murdered the step mother in-law, then slapped the father in-law and the groom for letting the over-entitled witch hijacks the brides wedding. The sleuthing is pretty good in what is basically women's fiction. The first body is found before the wedding but remains unidentified for a time. Then the second body means that everyone is sequestered by the police.
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley.

I was intrigued by the role of the collection of books in resolving the mystery, and the backdrop of the luxury yacht definitely made for a change of scenery compared to many of the cozy, murder mystery novels I have read.

Sadly I found the main character just lacking. Addie just seemed to luck upon hidden clues, eavesdropping on intensely personal conversations (It seemed unlikely that such sensitive issues would be that easy to listen to) and popping around corners just as.... You get the idea

I loved this book. This is a great series, and Under the Cover of Murder is an intriguing addition to the series.
When Addie’s best friend gets married, the last thing Addie wants to do is solve a murder; but that’s exactly what she does when two bodies turn up, and everyone aboard the luxurious yacht is a suspect.
I was on pins and needles reading this story because there was so much going on. I was left guessing until the end with this book, which always pleases me.

This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series and this volume didn’t to disappoint. Addie is on a luxury yacht (that sounded like a fancy cruise ship) for her dear friend Serena’s wedding. Unfortunately one of the guests on board didn’t survive to hear about the honeymoon. Everyone still on board the following morning, including Addie, is forced to stay on board while the investigation occurs. Anyone who has read about Addie knows she’d be helping to solve it no matter what but this time she li ...more
A wedding is taking place on a luxurious and huge yacht in the harbour. Addie is the maid of honour and has to console the bridge, Serena, when her future mother-in-law takes over the wedding, inviting her own friends to attend. At the reception, an old enemy of the bride appears, drinking copious amounts of champagne and being loud. The next day her body is found floating in seaweed by the yacht. Addie and two friends set about to investigate.

I find this to be a very entertaining series. This series has terrific characters and great world-building. Addie, for me, is a very likable protagonist and Ms. Elliott has done a great job with her character development. Addie is surrounded by a diverse and fun secondary cast of characters. At the heart of each story is friendship, family, and of course a side of murder. This time around, the murder occurs on-board a yacht, where Addie's friend Serena is getting married. What I particularly enj ...more

Wedding trouble has continued from the last book, as Zach's overbearing stepmother is still interfering in his and Serena's plans, right up to the day of the ceremony. Hours from the alter, maid of honor Addie is called to identify a page torn from a book, found in the pocket of a dead man. When a second body is found the next morning, Addie is sure the two must be connected.

Seems like just yesterday I read the first and it became one of my favorite new series. Now, six books in, I guess it's no

“Under the Cover of Murder” is the 6th instalment in the Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery series by Lauren Elliott. I really enjoyed this latest instalment in the series!

I liked that we had two mysteries to solve, the murders and the forged books. The mystery is interesting and well plotted, and I loved all the characters from the over the top Mother in-law to Catherine and Paige.

I kept second-guessing myself on whodunnit almost to the very end but I did suspect correctly just before it was re

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of UNDER THE COVER OF MURDER (Book 6 of the Beyond the Page Bookstore Mysteries) by Lauren Elliott in exchange for an honest review. Serena and Zach’s wedding is finally here. I was given a chance to read this book through NetGalley and Kensington Books, thanks! This is the sixth book of the series and takes place almost completely on a yacht which is docked in Greybourne Harbor. Serena and Josh are getting married and this is where it will take place, with several of the guests spending the night. No spoilers. but it seems that several of the guests have secrets that they will do anything to prevent them from coming to light, including the murders of two reporters. I ...more

What an intriguing whodunit! So many suspects - so many clues. Addie Greyborne, amateur sleuth and and owner of Beyond the Page Books and Curios has two murders to solve. As usual she has her gentleman friend, Simon and her other friends to help solve the case. I enjoyed keeping up with all the sleuthing and vetting possible suspects. Addie's book expertise really helped solve the case.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Wow! This book is so good! It is entertaining, cozy-mysterious, full of shocking moments, and is so well-thought out! Whenever I picked up "Under the Cover of Murder", I put on my sleuthing hat, and truly went on a journey with this story.

This is the 6th book in Lauren Elliott's "Beyond the Pages Bookstore Mystery", and the second I have read. I do think it can be read as a stand-alone book, however, I felt having read a previous novel in the series really helped me keep some of the relationship

Addison Greyborne lives in Greyborne Harbor and owns a bookshop that deals in both new and rare books. While preparing for her best friend Serena's wedding, she's called by Serena's brother Marc, chief of police, to the station. He needs her help in identifying the body of dead man who was found with nothing but a torn corner from a book. Unfortunately, Addie can't help him and leaves to go to the super-yacht where the wedding is to be held.

This is the sixth book in the 'Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery' series.

The author, Lauren Elliott has created some extremely likeable characters in this cozy mystery. I have already met Addie Greyborne, the protagonist and bookshop owner, in book 2 who I found to be very smart and independent with good eavesdropping skills.

In this instalment, Addie is maid-of-honour to her best friend, Serena who is getting married to Zach Ludlow onboard a salubrious yacht, moored in Greyborne Harbour. However
Under the Cover of Murder by Lauren Elliott is the 6th A Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery. This is not a standalone novel. A new reader will not know the various characters and their relationships. While I enjoy the setting of Greyborne Harbor, you can only have so many murders in one small town. I like that we get a change of venue in this book plus it is a good way to keep all the parties in one place. I enjoyed the vivid descriptions of the opulent yacht plus the clothing of the wedding part ...more

Addie Greyborne, owner of Beyond the Page bookshop, is dealing with a bridezilla period in her life as best friend Serena Chandler prepares to marry Zach Ludlow. To be fair Addie understands Serena's problems as she is dealing with a future mother in law who fits all the stereotypes and then some.

As her maid of honour duties begin to gather speed with the wedding just 24 hours away Addie is asked by ex-boyfriend and police chief Marc Chandler for her help on a case. A body has been found on the

I loved this book. Lauren Elliot is a fantastic author who is fantastic at adding lots of plot twists and turns. You get an idea about who you think the murderer is but then boom! She turns around and changes things on you again. I loved that there were about ten different angles that Addie is trying to piece together and as I neared the end of the book I was a bit worried that even she wasn't going to be able to solve it this time then boom! This is the sixth book in the Beyond the Page Bookstore mysteries by Lauren Elliott.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I did miss the in town setting we normally see. But I thought the relationship between Addie and Mark was much better in this one. Usually, Mark seems overly hostile toward Addie which was something I could never figure out. This was a more laid back Mark. Loved that aspect.

The mystery was reminiscent of Ten Little Indians/And Then There Were None, as far as the setting went. T
